About All In The Family:
One of the most acclaimed comedy series of all time, All in the Family with Archie Bunker as the irascible, highly opinionated, working-class family man who viewed the world on his terms and his terms only. When not arguing with his liberal son-in-law, "Meathead," Archie took refuge in his long-suffering wife, Edith, who tries her best to understand Archie's conservative ways and outdated beliefs.

Edith was perfect for Stephanie"s mother figure. Wish Jean Stapleton had not quit the series.
The end of the episode sees Archie and Stephanie have a heart-to-heart at the bar counter that ended with an “Eskimo kiss” (rubbing noses together). I’m not afraid to admit that display of affection by Archie caught me off guard to where I actually shed a tear. *😊😢*
"Sooo... what."
😹👍!
I love this episode. Edith was more badass than Archie when it came to unfortunate events. She was so brave and amazing. Stephanie was so adorable and cute in this episode. She was singing dancing her heart off .♥️
Danielle Brisebois was brilliant in her role and this scene shows me she was Broadway material.
She was in the Broadway production of Annie back in the day
I hoped that she would tap dance but that’s for a different piece of music.
Her character seemed so shy & quiet. Then she did this. 😅
Stephie really needed Edith, so sad she lost her too 😢
Agreed
I loved the show and never missed an episode, but it was all over for me once Edith was out of the picture. It just wasn't the same.
Archie surprisingly really stepped up to the plate for Stephanie after Edith died. You should consider giving the rest of Archie Bunker's Place a look, especially Stephanie's Bat Mitzvah episodes. It appears there that Archie is closer to Stephie than he ever was even with his own daughter, Gloria; it really is beautiful to see. I love the contrast: Here, he looks embarrassed by Stephanie's singing; but when he hears her singing at Temple in Hebrew during her Bat Mitsvah he looks so proud, even though he has no idea what she is saying or what is going on :). @@magneto7930
That was the cutest episode with Edith and Stephanie singing together like a couple of singing dingbats!😊 They were so funny!
Not dingbats!
Archie spit shining that glass 😂
I would love to see the scene that came after this and the way Archie reacted. It was a very moving moment.
I remember Archie was very proud of Stephanie!
Love it! Way to go Stephanie! ❤😊
i love this show
I totally agree with you I love this show I can remember when back in the 70s the show would come on every Saturday night at 8 and me and my mom would be watching it together and I dearly miss my mom
I remember watching with my dad I. Miss him
Archie could not have been more wrong when he said Sinatra don't sell beer. I worked at Sommerset distribution in Long Beach California that Frank owned and was the Budweiser distributor for the area. The people who ran it were all old wise guys if you know what I mean.
Aww so cute
It was like watching the winning act on The Gong Show
Wow!
tooooooo cuteeeeeeeeeee
Well Joyce und das Professor
I have seen My Sister Kate sung with a boomshakalaka twice on this show, but cannot find any version with that tempo or use of that. Does anyone know what version they are referencing on the show?
Danielle Brisbois' version is adorable....
Just don't feel that friendship choices grew my car Driver ..hey !! Pilot me to yer way of trufth
A little girl like Stephie singing such a song in a saloon?!? Terrible!
It was Most Necessary
WHY was it necessary for her to sing THAT song?
Ho Chi Minh committed a brutal màss-murder of landlords in North Vietnam in the 1950s. Even Ken Burns showed this of Ho.
Based
This show went down hill after this kid joined the cast. Completely changed.
I liked when she was a regular. It showed another side of Archie. He loved her like his own.
Actually Mike and Gloria departing started a downward spin. But, really, how much more could be squeezed out of the bigot angle? I think they hoped adding a young character would add some freshness, and for a while it did.
It wasn't bad but it was definitely dying a slow death at this point, especially transitioning into Archie Bunker's Place. With the death of Edith, it was pointless.
@@magneto7930 for a period of time I believed a rumor that Carol O'Connor demanded that Ediths character be killed off, only to find out that Jean Stapleton wanted to leave the show. I guess divorce wasn't an option.
@@iamme453 yes, I know she wanted to leave. I remember her talking about it but I don't recall her feelings about being killed off.
