Loving the outpouring of support for the series of late, honestly. If you asked me a year ago, I would've told you that Armored Core was a forgotten, niche series that only a few nerds like you and me even care about. After Elden Ring's success, a new Armored Core was the last game I expected. Mech action games have always been niche. Then Armored Core 6 was announced, and suddenly, the whole world learned about Armored Core. Folks like you, snes nerd, and the Armored Core Lore channel started picking up a little traction and putting out content. I've met so many old vets and new fans to the series now. I used to wonder if I was alone. Now that formerly niche series blowing up has brought us all together seemingly more than ever before. And having a new entry on PC of all places!? And it runs well!? I'm having a hard time believing any of it is real.
@@SilverGlint Baldur's Gate 3, Armored Core 6, a new Homeworld game on the horizon, Phantom Liberty DLC for Cyberpunk and Starfield is releasing. It's a hell of a time to be alive.
Haha, the Gran Turismo comparison is spot on. I remember having so much trouble getting into Gran Turismo until I played Armored Core. The garage in AC taught me to appreciate the tinkering aspect.
As a loooong time AC fan. I've never really been able to put WHAT AC is and HOW it connects to me/the players. and here you are Silver Glint. somehow able to put words in a coherent way about the essence of what Armored Core is. I tip my hat and raise a glass to you. masterfully said.
As a new fan I have to say this put my feelings into words that I didn't even know I had, I got into AC recently due to your series recommendations and played through 4, For Answer and now Rubicon, which I just finished my 3rd run of, hope to one day see you one the field Silver maybe then I can repay you for introducing me to this amazing series
Thank you so much for checking this out. Makes me incredibly happy I could bring you over to this side, I love AC and it warms my heart reading stuff like this Raven.
I was born in 1998, a year after the first AC title hit the shelves. For my 7th birthday, I got a PS2, and a few weeks later, I came home form school one day to find two games on my bed as a gift from my parents. Silent Line: Armored Core and Armored Core: Last Raven. Prior to seeing those two on my bed, I'd never even heard of Armored Core, but my parents were well aware of my love for mecha. I had a full DVD set of G Gundam and 08th MS Team, several Gundam games (Federation vs Zeon and Encounters in Space chiefly) and was a big fan of Mechwarrior and Macross. Curious, I put Last Raven in my PS2 and was wondering what kinda mecha game it was gonna be. Since then, I've played every single Armored Core and love the franchise so so very much. The boss battle in either V or Verdict Day (can't remember which) where you have to fight a 4/For Answer era NEXT from the (by then) distant past in your smaller, slower urban battle AC stayed with me, and now...I can't even express how happy I am that AC is going mainstream.
What armored core means to me is the the very meaning why we exist. What purpose does one have and how far are you willing to go on the intended route you take. You take your beat up junk heap of a core and turn it into the hacking slashing, dashing, gun-weidling, over-boosted ass and get paid. Wether it is about becoming a hero for protecting your home land or commiting acts that futher destory humanity for the sake of getting paid? its your choice. Its your story. This is what Armored Core does to me in an emotional level. See you ravens.
Found your channel from the "AC6 is finally here" video (which was freaking awesome btw). And i have a feeling that i'm gonna stick around for a long time!
The financial pressure in AC6 is kinda downplayed tbh. I was blowing 100k+ on ammo each mission with dual miniguns and dual 10xmissile launchers and I still accumulated millions easily
Thanks for the video this is awesome intro to the series though you could just sum it up to spend 15hrs playing with only 3 of that actually gameplay the rest has been spent customizing. It's also nice that abi was in this.
I can already tell this game is already fantastic already and I may have not gotten it yet but I'm waiting until the 30th of August for the PlayStation 4 version to come out and once I get it I'm playing this game 100% plus I want you to know there are two blades that are like the teal one and the blood crimson red one I'm going to call those things moonlight blade 6th generation and for the other 7th generation and with both of them together they are the most powerful weapons in game plus the shoulder referent I'm going to go for it is the lightning bolt ceviche Canon that shoots one bullet and after it sticks on to Target and blows up it probably having a weapon Bay for the two blades so I can do a teal and red crimson blade attacks which should be super effective and extremely unnecessary it finally having handler Walters gun Betty had during the first boss fight aware we have to liberate Rubicon from Extinction Plus if those blades don't work I just prefer a combo attacks of two blades liked the standard blade we were equipped with and Hamlin Walters blade where we can shoot a giant laser and cut through any other person which is a giant beam the longer we hold it down

Armored core = refrigerator + ice skates + Zimmerman shotgun
Understandable but that's 6, not the other ones :)

Yeah, money only matters if you're going for S ranks

im sure their time to shine will be soon hopefully
AC6 remind anyone else of Dune? Instead of spice it's coral. Lol
Yeah it's very similar!
Yes, especially the sandworm which has to be a direct reference!
Abi is pretty polite today. Fantastic video, thanks for your for sharing!
Our pleasure!
This was awesome and introspective 👏
Thank you!

🔥🔥🔥video bro🙏🏼
Big up, thank you
1v1 me Glint!
Ac6 is great but let's be serious,; we want ac4a remaster
I want an AC collection remaster
🐱
What is AC about you asked me after I finished it?
Its about getting rich and kill your buddy and your imaginary gf
Why do you use an AI voice instead of just talking?
Because I want to
