That was maybe the best performance of this piece I've ever seen! With every bit of electricity and finesse as Vivaldi intended it to be played. Very impressive!

I believe the cellist is the principal of the group, Claire-Lise Demettre.
Listening to this again, I find the cellist spot-on. She anchors the entire group.
J'aime beaucoup la prise de vue, sobre, qui met en valeur le groupe (notamment les regards entre violonistes) et permet de comprendre qui joue quoi. À la fin du morceau, de concert avec le chef d'orchestre, j'ai applaudi les violonistes... devant mon ordinateur. Ce n'est pas si souvent ! Merci !

C'est merveilleux, la composition de Vivaldi est absolument géniale, inspirée et généreuse, les interprètes sont également à la hauteur, bravo à tous !
Pourquoi ? Vivaldi allie dynamisme dans le tempo et une mélodie qui joue de l'intermittence et de la rencontre , par des effets de mise en veille des pupitres afin d'exalter un jeu solo, qui succède avec un duo puis progressivement effet de contamination si l'on peux dire , effets de surprise en cycles comme des spirales ou sphères célestes qui s'éloignent les unes des autres puis se rapprochent. Notons la dimension cosmique sur laquelle est mise en oeuvre l'architecture de certaines composition musicales baroques comme ici ce Concerto en do mineur RV. 580 pour 4 violons de Antoni Vivaldi ....
Chez Vivaldi , l'acte créateur est de révéler les merveilles de la Création elle même. Car l'artiste mettait en oeuvre des règles d'harmonie mathématiques dont il avait raison de penser qu'elles apporteraient un plus communicatif à l'oeuvre, en cela il ne s'est absolument pas trompé !....

Vivaldi , c'est le grand oublié du peleton de tête des grands musiciens , alors on classe Bach , Mozart , Beethoven ex aeco après viennent Verdi , Haëndel , Shubert , Shumann et puis Vivaldi mais Vivaldi devrait être au TOP 50 du classique car c'est la musique de la joie , de la créativité qui a inspiré Bach et non l'inverse !

Extremely fond of this concerto. This is an exceptionally fine performance. I especially like the "soft landings" at the end of each movement. I also like the church-like setting, as Fr. Vivaldi was in fact a Catholic priest. Thank you!
