    The most inspiring moment I have witnessed. I can't comprehend how one person could achieve what she did at Tokyo and then Paris.

    As a Dutchie I cried so hard when she won. I am (we all are) so proud of her! We were hoping for at least one medal and she got gold! She is outstanding and she is definitely an athlete that we won't forget easily.
    Let's not forget that the bronze medal in Tokyo was amazing too. She FELL, got up and took an amazing sprint! IF she hadn't fallen, she most def would have gotten gold.

      @oscarfernald9402 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @MsMeyara As much as I love her legendary actions, the last thing you mentioned isn’t completely true. She fell and got up again, yes, took that sprint, and won her race. Epic as that was, those were just the series, not the finals; she did two more 1500m races after that. So I don’t think the fall had an impact on her medal, she even got gold in the 5000m that same night after she fell.
      But she is an absolute legend, that’s for sure 😁👌🏾

      @@oscarfernald9402 The fall raised her adrenalin and cortisol at the highest level, sport scientists explained. This was benefic and made her win the 5000m later in the evening. Then when these levels reached their nadir, she was caught by the cumulative fatigue due to the rapid succession of efforts in a short time. She could have won the 1.500m final if the adrenalin had not pumped her energy. We will never know but this is a likely explanation. At that time she was still competitive in the 1500m.

    You did some amazing work researching for this video.
    *But you totally missed a very important statement she made when she received her gold medal.*
    Did you not notice she was wearing the hijab? She doesn't normally wear it. But now she chose to wear it. Why?
    Because france had banned all its competitors from wearing the hijab because religious observation is not welcome according to them.
    So well done to Hassan. Powerfull statement. France was forced to hand her gold while she was wearing a hijab in their face defying their sexist archaic laws.

    @Athletics Rewind - You are LYING, and you are WRONG, when you say this " has never happened in Olympics History." You obviously don't know our sport very well. Have you ever heard of PAAVO NURMI of Finland? In the 1924 Olympic Games, exactly 100 years earlier than Hassan's exploits, he participated in FIVE different distance races, and achieved Gold medals in ALL FIVE of them. What about EMIL ZATOPEK of the former Czechoslovakia? In the 1952 Olympic Games, he won THREE Gold medals in the same three races that Hassan won 1 Gold and 2 Bronze medals in. Learn to do your research before you post these lies.

      She is the first woman to do it. Also in those times the competition was less, nowadays more countries participate, also more African runners, were a lot of fast runners come from. Sport is more professional then back then. Also Emil Zatopek his time on the marathon was slower then of Sifan Hassan. Both is very impressive. But in those times it was easier to win gold on several events. Do not act if that is not the case.
