    I couldn't decide between the b9 and a Sony A80L . So I ordered me the Sony A80L 83" yesterday. Looks like I'm going to have to wait another 1 1/2 weeks till it arrives at Best Buy.

    I have seen the bravia 9 In person it is the most impressive Mini led I have ever seen , though for me not oled I will take contrast over brightness every day, the contrast on it was no were near as good as Qd oled or woled , and the color brightness wasn't as good Qd oled , and off viewing angles was terrible compared to oled , I will be sticking with self emissive tech , I have the A95L and I am waiting on the Panasonic MLA Z95A or wait until next for the chips in 2025 .

      Color brightness is much higher on the B9 with contrast that rivals Oled. I have Oled upstairs that can hit 2000 nits it’s not even close compared to my 85 B9 it’s the best display I’ve ever seen.

    The Bravia 9 is impressive. But in this video, it was too yellow in game mode. I immediately like the picture better on the A80L for Colors in Elden Ring. Sometimes, I do like the shadow details on the Bravia 9 (simply because you can see a little more in the dark areas). I am 99% sure I will go Bravia 8. I would like to see a Bravia 9 in person. No store has a demo yet in my area.

      The Bravia 9 looks more like the A95L than the bravia 8 in most scenes and naturally tvs when calibrated or put in their most accurate modes become warmer, but the tv in person in no way looks yellow, it’s just hard for the camera to capture both tvs completely perfect. Seeing them
      in person makes the most sense before choosing what you like.

      @@lvproductionsinc9748 disagree. The A95L is THE best OLED on the market right now. No Mini LED is going to come close to the A95L. The A80L already looks better than the Bravia 9 and it's on sale for $2699 at 77". Mini LED is NOT an OLED replacement.

    I was looking to purchase a QDOLED tv to replace my 2021 QN90, but after spending some days watching movies I decided to hold off. The QN90 while a few years old and not on par with the QDOLED technology, it’s still quite impressive, and the brightness level is unrivaled!

      Smart choice imo your TV is very capable still definitely hold off a bit longer and only upgrade if it comes with a size increase unless it’s a technology jump that exceeds it.

    May I ask how do you adjust game HDR settings in these comparisons ? For example, B9 has much higher peak brightness... are you using it ? Do you set in game settings to 2000 nits or 1000 etc.

    • @primevidz-rh8om
      @primevidz-rh8om 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Completely irrelevant on Sony TVs. They use DTM, HGIG could be set to 10K and they would still tonemap.

  • @SuperemeRed
    @SuperemeRed 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

    KG, are you setting the ingame peak white nits to the B9 limit or the OLED limit before clipping? Because if you set it to the OLED it will ofcourse make the B9 not be able to show of its strength advantage over the OLED as it's the peak white without crushing that we want to see where the B9 beats out the OLED.

    One on the left is brighter. Would be good if you could show some desktop on an Oled vs a Qled (QN900D). Maybe your youtube page in a browser (txt). I would like to see video, gaming and desktop on a 65 in. 8K is monitor dpi 4K is not. Will a 4K QD-Oled do ok as a desktop? Or is text a blurry mess?

    • @TechWithKG
      @TechWithKG  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You can’t just calibrate TVs yourself you have to have all the equipment and be specially trained. If you mean do I try to dial on my own random preference settings no that doesn’t help anyone. All of this is out of the box if someone was to get it from the store

  • @ericroberts7380

    The tv on the left was garbage in game mode. I’m 2nd guessing my Bravia 9 decision now because I do a ton of gaming. In Eldon ring, it felt like the Bravia 9 was playing on a lower fps than the oled.

  • @eugenecia9424

    for my budget 65 inches is the reference. Bravia 9 65 inch is not for sale here. So I bought the G4, which was, according to RTINGS, the better TV than the S95 from Samsung. Despite QD OLED, the Q LED is not the better technology. My reference is still RTINGS, more credible.

    • @lvproductionsinc9748
      @lvproductionsinc9748 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      not completely, they still don’t test everything in HDR, they do test patterns primarily and are still missing some key areas to determine the full experience people should expect when buying the tv out of the box

      @lvproductionsinc9748 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@davidarchangels6500 the x95L and bravia 9 are completely different tvs in capability and design. The G4 is able to perform better overall vs the x95L yes, but if comparing bravia 9 which gives you more and can get you a lot of that micro contrast feeling, it’s a different conversation

  • @gerard3797
    @gerard3797 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

    For me the X95L is already much too bright. It is unnatural bright really, like Vidid and Natural most of the time are unnatural bright and oversaturated. I understand that some people like those very bright peaks. But for me 1000, especially in a dimmed room is more than enough. Much to be expected from the Bravia 8, which is 20% brighter in HDR (30% peak) and about 25% brighter in SDR, according to the latest Rtings tests (early access). This will likely be the sweet spot for me. Also processing and speed of the OS seems to be a good step up from the A80L as well.

      Is the X95L better than the LG and Samsung?

    • @gerard3797
      @gerard3797 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@davidarchangels6500 The new LG G4 is close to Sony processing from what I understand, but don't like the UI from LG. Samsung has UI but colors are not so accurate is my experience. Sony most accurate and best processing, their XR processing is in all TVs, not only top models. If you go with Sony LED, I would definitely go with the Bravia 9 instead of the X95L. The new improved backlight seems to be a big step up and worth the additional price. Altbough you can wait until black friday off course.

    Comparing televisions using a video camera can provide a distorted image. The camera may capture certain aspects of image quality, such as color reproduction and contrast, differently than the human eye perceives them. Additionally, camera settings like exposure and white balance can influence the representation of the TVs.
