  • In this video I talk about my experiences with the new Strike Missions that came in with Guild Wars 2 End of Dragons.
    The four strikes are:
    Aetherblade Hideout
    Xunlai Jade Junkyard
    Kaineng Overlook
    Harvest Temple
Are the new strikes good enough to be a cornerstone of Guild Wars 2 endgame? In my opinion, yes. They were extremely well designed without being too punishing. With strike challenge motes coming in soon, I’m hopeful again for instanced group content in GW2. Especially if they manage to release new strike cm’s more regularly.

To me when doing anything with pugs and with "First time" attacted, i know for an instant that will make friends here because we all new, nobody expects anything from others whether know this, don't do that etc and the most important factor is that we actually talk to each others, discussing strategies and this is what i called Fun. Doing stuffs with experienced pugs might get you through the content faster but mostly we just go in, everybody knows what to do, nobody really talking except saying Hi and if we wipe a few left without a word, this is totally normal but it leaves a really bitter aftertaste sometimes.
    What about you guys ?

This is the fun part about an expansion launch. Everybody is clueless which makes figuring stuff out so much more enjoyable!

Tried them all and managed to beat them. I had a lot of fun, especially with the fourth one of course. Hyped for the CMs!

@@MasterOfNoneGaming For the first three I joined random LFG groups with scuffed builds (we were using the new especs), while for the last one I noticed a few raid titles in the squad and we were using a proper composition :)

@@MasterOfNoneGaming ya, if you preview the box, you can see rewards you can get out of it. Of course you can get the usual green- yellow gear but you can get all the offsprey dragon stuff and precursors

Yeah I have been getting some of the weapon skins but I didn't find them very exciting. Definitely going to preview the box next time since I totally forgot about that, so thanks for the info!

you can tell anet learned a lot from ffxiv raids. this is both good and bad, i miss full raids. but mecahnics based fights rather than stack and kill is awesome

    • @MasterOfNoneGaming
      @MasterOfNoneGaming  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Yeah I'm really curious how the CM's are going to turn out and if Anet ever does another raid, it will be interesting to see what they can come up with.

6:40 Not sure about that. In gw2 you are very reliant on boons (alac, quickness, 25might) and if one boon supplier dies one of those buffs will be gone which will make it alot harder. Thus it isn't likely that you will be able to finish the boss as 4. In games like Lost Ark you have actually a decent chance to carry it with few people since you don't rely heavily on boons.
7:00 I cant agree more but very sadly anet has a reputation of never reworking older content.

Due to the current tuning it's actually very possible to low-man it. Sure it depends on who dies and who lives but when I did them for the first time, both the Kaineng Strike and Harvest Temple we did with only a couple people surviving the last 20% or so.
Especially since it felt like you could avoid most damage that was going out.
And yeah you are right about the reworking sadly... But one can dream! :D
