    Thank you to the people who supported the channel through www.buymeacoffee.com/masterofnone! Really means the world to me.
    As you might have noticed, the last video came out 2 weeks ago, which is the longest break I had to take until now. The style of videos that I create can take me easily +8 hours for a single video and with the new job I was just too exhausted to be able to put out more. So for now I’ll definitely have to slow down a bit but I hope to keep a steady stream of content going.
    Thank you for watching!

    That's exactly how I feel, been playing for almost 9 years and I have never Steep a foot in raids due overthinking and anxiety, thinking I'm gonna fail and everyone is gonna throw hate on me, I'm full legendary armor, completed fractals (not all cms yet) but they seem easy for me and somehow I feel I'm not ready for raids! I guess finding a group is the biggest obstacle.

      It really is! If you have the patience to get a spot on one of the training discords it will be much more relaxed though. So you could always try that :)

      Update: I joined a guild thanks to this video and it's definitely a lot more easy going and fun to just sign up for a raid. If you want to check it out and come say hi, this would be the discord: bit.ly/GsiSInvite

    I fricking love the call out of RTI and CI. I joined both too a couple of days ago and I feel exactly the same. If you don't sign up days prior or are always reading discord you will miss the oportunities and won't get a spot.

      I think they are great initiatives and might be a good opportunity for specific people. It just wasn't what I expected. Definitely need to stay up to date with discord stuff if you want to get a spot. I guess there are many people that want to try out raids but hardly anyone is willing to teach (which I can understand as well)

      @@MasterOfNoneGaming Luckily my guild is starting doing training runs again on Sunday. Then I don't rely on find another group and can just join if I get the opportunity.
      But yes both are great communities for beginners and seasoned raiders. I guess it's also good for advertising own groups there.

      I disagree on CI being full instantly. I startet raiding with CI in june this year and never had a problem getting a spot in a raid. Provided I dont just play DPS.

    If you still need a semi active PvE guild please make sure to hit me up, we are doing raids every Wednesdays and Sundays.
    We are trying to become a learning guild for new and returning players.
    Would be great to have such a nice addition to the team like you.
    Awesome video btw!

      I would love to at least have a look and say hi. Depending on the raid times I'm not fully sure how often I would be able to join though.
      Let me know what the guild name is, so I know which one I should accept when I log in. My acc name is:

      Accepted the invite but sadly had hardly any time to play the past few weeks... Hope that changes soon and thanks for the invite!

    The way you point out how you stumbled through spirit vale the first time seems a lot like ppl did the mechanics for you so you got away with ignoring them 😂😂 because normally you cannot, or you die.

      Spirit Vale is Wing 1 by the way.

    Okay so siege turtles are wild by the way. The drifting looks a little off, but even that can be corrected without much work and I would still love them without any changes. It's a tight, rad, versatile mount.
    As for raids - I'd be interested to know how you feel about there being so many ten target skills for support stuff, now that you've tried raiding. Do you feel it's influenced how you make build or even class decision at all for raids, making you ignore cool things you would've otherwise tried if the alternatives weren't ten target?
    Honestly the way you did it by putting up your own LFG and winging it sounds like fun. Kind of makes me want to try it too, I've never really gotten into raids despite wanting to. I'd really want to try playing raids in a way that doesn't ignore mechanics, but I imagine it gets way harder when you aren't doing that.
    Looking forward to your thoughts on strikes. I was gonna ask about it here until you said at the end you'll be doing them in your next video!

    • @MasterOfNoneGaming
      @MasterOfNoneGaming  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did run around in LA for 5min yesterday and yeah I agree. I just found it a bit odd animation wise that you are drifting. Would probably prefer if the turtle would start to "glide" on it's shell when you got the momentum going and are starting to drift. That way it would maybe look and feel less weird but that would probably a complicated solution. I haven't been in the gunners seat yet, have you tried that out too?
      Honestly I feel like the 10 player groups are a bit arbitrary so to say. Like Anet decided they had to increase the player count for HoT release since that's what many people associate with raids. From the limited things I've seen till now, raids could use way more splitting mechanics but maybe this changes on the later wings. I guess I'm just a bit nostalgic of the Guild Wars 1 elite areas where you had super specialized builds of people solo'ing certain areas, others going around in a group, things like that. Always made it feel super epic and offered variying playstiles with different levels of difficulty.
      Since I don't usually make builds for end game content, it didn't really influence my class decisions. Seems like all classes have decent builds and roles that they can fill. I can see how it could excite me that if I ever play raids enough to get quite comfortable with them to then start trying out all the different raid builds that exist.
      And yes, if you have the right composition & tactics and can start skipping mechanics it's soooo much easier. It's not like it would be the hardest thing otherwise but the amount of coordination required just goes up by quite a bit. There are also enough mechanics that your normal group won't be able to skip btw, just that vale guardian was pretty extreme with how much easier it got.

      @@MasterOfNoneGaming ah gotchya gotchya. I didn't spend too much time as gunner, but I found it a little sad that instead of being an actually projectile, it functions more like a meteor strike appearing above your target area. I understand why, it makes it so you won't get busted by terrain and reflects, but it definitely isn't as satisfying as I'd like there.
      Drifting turtle shell would be awesome. That or having the jets on one side kick in to show that you're trying to correct your turtles course when you drift.
      I've watched alot of raid stuff, also teatime podcasts. I think that it would be great to have more splitting, and mechanics that force people to move between groups sometimes. Just more reasons for five target stuff and mobility to play a role in the encounters. In strikes too, since that's where we're going.

      @@MasterOfNoneGaming as in GW2 you cant beat any encounter by sheer ilvl like in many other MMOs, the only way you can git gud is actual understanding of the fight and the resources you're giving.. and the content you've just experienced is 5 years old by now
      there was a time when we did vale guardian's greens, gorseval's updrafts, and many other mechanics.. nowadays thanks to new mechanics introduced/removed and the general understanding of the encounters the way we raid has shift massively.. in one hand its way easier and forgiving for newer players, in the opposite side of the spectrum some long time raiders have trouble understanding why "noobs cant handle such easy strats" (and many others actually only learned to raid based on today's strats, so they fix any situation by claiming for more DPS /facepalm)
      overall i think raiding is in a good spot.. as you found with strikes, there are encounters/mechanics for everyone, keep in mind you actually have 20 more "bosses" to learn, plus 13 challenge modes (tho many arent that challenguing tbh)

    • @MasterOfNoneGaming
      @MasterOfNoneGaming  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeah I definitely agree with you Fer! This is especially apparent when you get a group that is running all over the place and not staying stacked when they should. The content all of a sudden is way harder.

      @@fernaxv really? i think raiding is in a terrible spot. i think the fact that u have to have all buffs active all the time is incredibly bad design. certain specs get straight up excluded from raiding bc of it. for example, why would i take a heal tempest over a druid? sure a heal tempest can heal more, but it doesnt provide perma might and perma protection like druid does. henc u literally never see heal tempests. and thats true for alot of other specs too.
      it also means that buffs mean everything, but also nothing. bc what does anet do? they design specs and encounters with the fact in mind, that everyone has all buffs all the time. which now makes buffs pointless but also neccessary. have u tried playing berserker warrior without 100% fury and alacrity uptime or without quickness? its not fun, everything is designed around having all buffs at all time. its incredibly limiting as to what players can and cant play and even how they play.
      it encourages players to stack the specs that uphold buffs the best while also doing dmg or cc and bruteforce their way through every encounter. its bad. i honestly have never seen worse raiding in any mmo that i seriously raided in. and i dont say that bc raids in gw2 are too easy, i mean they are, but thats not a fundamental design flaw right.

  • @MrjinZin0902
    @MrjinZin0902 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think anet have to make raid like fractal. if u are going to take part in high level fractal then u have to have enough ar. then in high level fractal, anyone don't have to bother to explain mechanic. In low level, more experienced people can explain mechanic if necessary. in that way experience can be more smooth and less intimidated.

      Hard gating progression with AR doesn't sound like something I want, to be honest. Just another form of gear grind? Theres already aspects of the masteries that bring a certain level of gatekeeping in PUGs as it is. Adding variable difficulty settings, such as CMs, is enough to let people self sort and ramp up to things, rather than be daunted by the grind to get gear.
