Hello, I have a Pioneer DMH-1770NEX and have discovered that if you have the radio on or off, when the car ignition is shut off and you start the car, the radio comes on. I find this to be a nuisance and was told by the factory tech that all Pioneer radios are configured this way. I would think if you had the radio off, it should stay off when you restart the car. It sounds like the yellow and red wire might be backwards. Check to make sure the yellow wire is getting constant 12 volts and red is getting 12 volts on key.

It works the same way with my JVC, so it's not only Pioneer.

Yo guys. Switch the red/yellow cable behind the stereo. It should be Yellow on yellow and red on red.
