    If all he had done was given Kermit a voice that would have been enough. But, he gave so much more.

      I was 10..... Too old for Sesame Street (I still watched it though)..... And the muppet show was off the air.....we were at that funny age. Not quite a teenager but too old for kiddy stuff, An awkward age and when he died it felt like so much of my childhood went with it. I'm glad his legacy and vision lives on. My children love the muppet movies old and new and I also love that the muppet show is back. It's nice to have a show I can watch with my children. Ps. I have such fond memories of sesame place.

    I wanted to hugs from Kermit, telling me, it's going to be ok.
    My people had gone through alot--) residential schools, foster carw...how the Canadian government tried to eliminate the Indian out of our people.
    I stopped the abuse with my son. Even if i now live in an urban setting. I know my roots, will i ever go back, not likely.

    Jim Henson was a genius. He touched our hearts with the Muppets. I was already pretty much grown when they started but I watched them whenever I could. My mom and dad and I always watched the Muppet Show and enjoyed it very much. To see my parents laughing was so special. RIP Mommy and Daddy. I miss you so much! 😭🙏🙏💔🌹🥀🌈
    Jim Henson was taken from us way to soon.
    RIP sir! You made us laugh. Thanks for that!
    🙏🙏😢

    So many people pass away and are missed by all their friends and family's. But Jim Henson will never die. He remains in all children's hearts through his creation of the Muppets.

    I'm a small time soloist/singer/performer and I sometimes sing this song in Kermit's voice. I was born years after Mr Henson passed, but have always fallen in love with everything he did. I cried when Dark Crystal:AOR came out only because I wish he was around to see his world come to life like it has now. I have to keep from crying whenever I sing this song because all I can think about is the immense talent, heart, and love this man had. Fly high Jim, rest easy. People are still making your dreams come true.

    I wish they hadn’t added the orchestration to the song. It has more emotional impact with only Jim’s voice and the banjo. Losing Henson was like losing Lennon.

    I had random songs playing on Amazon music, and Sarah McLaughlin's version of this came on. I didn't even remember how or where I knew it from, but began literally sobbing. I remember watching this service when I was 5. I still miss Jim. The epic rap battle with him and Stan Lee was even enough to move me to tears.

    Jim henson started all small puppet show around 1955, and that was all he intended, but he did so much more thanks to the lovers, the dreamers, and you

    • @tysargent9647
      @tysargent9647 ปีที่แล้ว

      If reports are true, Jim didn't initially consider puppetry a respected art form, just a means of getting on television. He even asked the crew at WRC-TV (NBC's Washington, D.C. affiliate station) to work behind-the-scenes, but he was told to stick with his puppets; they may just make him rich. And, well, we all know how that turned out.
