I have a 1930`s LeBlond 10 inch throw lathe. Thanks for seeing the panels. All mine have rubbed off.

I have that exact machine, your video gives me more appreciation and understanding of it. Now I have to figure out how to stop the oil leak from the gearbox ... it sits too close to a stove and I am pretty sure it was damaged by heat. What a dummy, huh?

Do you know possibly what year or production run they have leblond on the hear box in big letters instead of the bed number like 13 or 19 etc, thank you Mike

How do I find a chuck for my 13 inch Leblond? It has the 2 1/8 X 5 spindle

I have a similar unit SN B-5705 that when I reversed it while running clockwise to counter clockwise at a coasting low low speed it will not run now in either direction Is their a safety sheer pin or other device that protects it?

Hey Jim, does the motor still turn on? If not, you probably blew the static phase converter if you are running one. If the motor still runs, your going to have to pull the top cover and look inside - chances are the damage would be evident. Is your machine a hydrashift model? Please let me know what you find out.

Yes the motor runs so maybe their is a belt problem if it has one?

I seriously doubt it. Sometimes perfect timing of events sheers a gear tooth, or teeth, and then, well.
