Oh really? cool. Nice bit of kit. Would be good if you could slip the cable along the side of the headlining but I don't know how feasable that might be. A good auto electrician will usually find a way.
Hey I was planning to get the f7ns. Is it license plates visible to read? Thats my only main concern with dashcams bc when I was videos. It’s still kinda blurry or I can only makeout 2 letters.
@@kenCx I've left it in my truck all winter but when the temperature starts going up I take it out and I carry it with me. I never leave it inside my car when the temperatures get too warm. The heat inside a vehicle can exceed 120°. I certainly don't want to fry my camera.
@@s.p642 i have it in houston, it worked great in the heat of the last summer, only thing i did was got the adhesive adapter because the suction doesn’t work well in high temps and also i got a 128g sandisk extreme pro memory card that can stand extream temperature and also holds longer recording time.
Hi Jim, I’ve tried to use your link to buy one of these but, although it will price in £ Sterling, it will not accept a UK Delivery address. Any suggestions? Thanks
I have this dashcam, and I have to connect the wifi via my phone Settings. Then, I open the app. If I want to keep a video, I hit download. The option is right beneath the video. Then I can watch it anywhere through the app. Hope this helps.
@@SlyD7816 I also do that, but I don’t like the idea that I have to do everything in the car. I can’t bring it into the house and download from there. Everything has to be done sitting in the car that’s very inconvenient.
Thanks for the info. I am considering buying one of these. If you are using the plug in power source like in your video, do you need to turn the camera on and off each time you start or finish a drive?
Thanks Jim. I appreciate the review. I have a question: How can this be an unsponsored review when you are offering a discount code through the manufacturer itself? Most vendors and manufacturers don't just offer up 10% codes for free. considering that this dual camera is usually priced between $140USD to $170USD, that's ~ $15 average loss in money for the vendor. I'm pretty sure they'll want something from you in return. Perhaps I don't know what I'm talking about? Perhaps just using their name and showing the item is enough of an advertisement in their eyes? Either way, being affiliated usually doesn't mean unsponsored.
I don’t do “paid for reviews”, I often have an affiliate link or something but if I tell you something is great and it’s awful you’ll soon stop watching my content. I turn down paid reviews all the time as I’d be cheating my audience. You can watch any of my car or product reviews and know you’re getting my open and honest.
Oh!😲 I was thinking🤔 He's definitely gonna need a dashcam. He's driving on the wrong side of the road. Then I remembered his accent, and then I realized I was the idiot 🤣😆😂
I don’t have it anymore I’m afraid. Low light footage is perfectly useable but obviously suffers from a little digital noise as you would expect, number plates etc fine as they’re generally going to be lit by either their car or your car.

Great review Jim . Already got this camera set up 3 months ago.
Still to figure out the best way to wire up the rear camera on my BMW X1.

Thanks for the honest review, mate! It helped me a lot to make my decision to buy it or not
Glad I could help!
A good and simple video. Thanks for that.
Thanks Dean 👍
I'm in Houston heat now and very concerned about the camera getting fried.
👌
How's it holding up? I'm thinking about getting it n in in the same city

With the extras you might need (hard wiring kit, polarising filter, 256Gb card, GPS) the price shoots up to nearer £200!
👌

No idea I’m afraid John and I don’t have any contacts there. Try using the Amazon link for it.
Really fancied one of these, but it only seems to ship to USA or Canada. Unless I'm missing something?
Try using the Amazon link for it mate
Whoa, those ring lights get me every time. 😳
👌
Would have been nice to see how you ran the wires for the front and rear cameras. Seems like that's the trickiest part of the install.
I didn’t do a full install. I did a very temporary job to make this video. It looked like an explosion in there.
Why do I have to keep connecting to WiFi every time I want to look at videos on my app? Also how can I watch videos in the app inside the house?
I did a viewer giveaway with this so can’t help

@@jill8573I’m pretty sure you can just remove the sd card or even bring the camera in and plug in via usb, no?
Whats the cmos sensor on the redtiger fn7p front camera (i presumed it's the same as the fn7, but wanted to be sure). TIA!!
Sony Starvis IMX335 I believe

No. It just automatically starts and stops with the car.
Great review, is a setting to have the screen shutoff everytime you turn on the vehicle?
I’m sorry but I don’t remember
Thanks Jim. I appreciate the review.

Does it have motion detection? Like will it record when someone just passes by the Vehicle without hitting it?
Not to my knowledge but I’m sure red tiger can confirm
I believe it does.
It does but you have to buy the hardware kit for it
👍👍👍 Nice setup, Thank you.
Decent bit of kit
How good are the suction cups? Can it withstand heat?
Very good. I live in England so who knows about heat.
I can’t seem to make out plate numbers on the footage. Could you see them on the actual recordings?
I've got a comparison video of this camera coming out later this week or next so have a look at the further footage in that one. Night footage also.
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru thank you!
It's the night time footage that makes or breaks dash cams
there's already some on TH-cam - it's very decent
Does it work when someone hit my rear or back while the car is parking?
It’s just a rear facing camera so always on

What’s the difference between f7n vs f7np?
www.litecompare.com/redtiger-f7n-vs-redtiger-f7n-plus/
How is the suction cup holding up any issues with staying in place? Thanks.
I gave it away to a viewer, I don’t use dashcams
Can you do a night time video recording to share - can you see numberplates easy at night?

Nice short video:-)
Thanks! 🙂
How often does that suction cup fall off?
I didn’t for me, I used it for a few days.
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru does it come with a permanent mount or only the cup?
Well Jim , your links don’t work ,
Nice Jim , but not as we know it
Old video, I guess they changed the link

I just got one. I can't help but wonder if it's cheap Chinese junk that won't last, but who knows.
Seems good, I actually thought it was reassuringly expensive
Quality tips thanks for your efforts
