Hello Sam, there's a good head of fish in there, and a clay bottom so your in with a chance of a few. Any bottom bait tactic would fair well. The islands I'd defo stay away from as there's loads of lines hanging off the branches. Plus lots of rubbish bankside so be prepared for that..
I would love to catch a carp that big. I know they are in the Ottawa River but still have not pulled one in. I heard putting WD40 on your bait works, have you tried that before? Have a good one Lee and keep following your nose.

Any oil attracts them hemp oil is their favorite but cooking oil is also a winner..
