Hi. This a great adventure video. Noticed your using Dagger kayaks. I know they come in two sizes.. 12ft & 14ft. Could you please inform me what are the ones you prefer.
Thanks for getting back to me so soon. I'm seriously thinking of getting into kayaking in the near future. Will be 63 this July. Great video and yes I have subscribed. Paddling on Loch Ness was very interesting. A Dagger 14ft kayak would be my choice as well canal and sea. More videos please.
@@walters720 Really appreciate your comments. All the best with starting your kayaking journey. It is a brilliant activity that has taken me to fantastic places for great adventures. More videos coming in 2023.
Great video we have an aqueduct near us Milton Keynes it’s called the Ironbridge aqueduct and I’ve been crossed it a few times it’s magical being that high off the deck floating in water looking at the river down below 😁👍 Happy paddling
So am I! Was gripping it like crazy. Yes, weirdly, even though it is quite a drop, and you are able to lean out over the edge, it fits quite nicely under your shoulder, so it doesn't feel too scary!
Hi sure, I can give you Google maps locations. We launched from Trevor Basin here... www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Electric+Vehicle+Charging+Station/@52.9729693,-3.0857604,135m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x487ab7bacbfa42dd:0x7e5e5da29f0700b5!8m2!3d52.9727457!4d-3.0859563 However, the car park at the basin is for disabled or EV only. So after dropping the boats off, we parked at Read's Yard Car Park here... www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Read's+Yard+Car+Park/@52.9734338,-3.0871966,130m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x487ab7bcb5666db7:0x5fbb47ce58188270!8m2!3d52.9733577!4d-3.0869964 If you pop into the tea room next to the car park, you can buy your parking ticket there.
Right, a good question which does have an answer! All boats and paddlers are expected to show a bright forward facing light when entering the tunnel. We used some bright head torches. Whoever enters one end of the tunnel first should then have priority. Ultimately though, if a barge did enter the tunnel, from the opposite direction. Shouting loud should attract attention in the confined space. Though I suspect the paddlers would ultimately have to back paddle out of the tunnel!
Great Video-looks like an Awesome day and how Interesting with the Canals and Aquaduct-Thanks
Yeah, such a fun paddle.
Thank you for the very interesting video. You got a new subscriber from Finland 😍
That's awesome. Thank you.😊
Another thing to add to my list! 🤙
@neelsnprayer absolutely worth doing. It's really impressive when you are up there!

Glad you enjoyed the video. This really is a fun paddle. I can totally recommend it. Yes, our boats are both Dagger Stratos 14.5 ft touring kayaks.

Thank you. I absolutely agree. Being high up and on the water at the same time is a really special experience.
I’m glad you didn’t drop the camera! Positively vertiginous view over the side😎

Did you do a there and back?
Yes, out to Chirk and back. Very fun paddle over aqueducts and through tunnels!
Do you have postcodes for where to launch and take out the boat?

What do you do if a barge boat comes the other way?
