That's about as ridiculous as the guy about a decade ago or so ago who posted a video to TH-cam about how he was suing his parents because he didn't consent to being born
It's also not the children's fault for her getting knocked up in the first place. People like that mom, should never be allowed to breed. But it's not the kids fault there. Some people are just born and raised bad.
Im an adult who lives with my parents, however rent is very flexable and mom never held it above my head. She simple and honestly needed help with bills to support another person living there. I pay $100 a MONTH. Plus ill buy some stuff for the house. Occasional ill by food and tp and stuff when we need it, but if i dont have money mom will give me money for the stuff.
Exactly. It’s quite literally the job of the parent to provide for the kids they decided to have. They don’t owe you anything for you doing what a parent is supposed to do
My Parents charged me nominal 'house money' as soon as I started working at 15. By the time I was 16, I was working enough hours to have medical insurance. I paid for all my personal & medical/dental/vision stuff. My Parents supplied my room & board. Whenever they went out to eat or on vacation, they paid for me. My Dad bought my first car ($150) & my Mom paid for the 1st 6 months of my car insurance ($50). The latter was so I could drive my car while looking for a job. I got a job 1 week after getting my car & the insurance. When I was a senior in HS, my Parents didn't take 'house money' on the condition I saved it for college. I was going to take 5 classes a term & Mom said there was no way I could work while doing that so they would allow me to keep my 'house money' because they couldn't financially help me with school. Not only did I save their 'house money', but I also matched it penny for penny. In 10 months (in 1975) I saved $3000. My Mom was totally floored when she saw my savings passbook.
I have a pretty severe tomato allergy, and my grandmother didn't believe that tomato allergies are real, so she always tried to sneak tomatoes into everything she fed me. My mom caught her in the act more often than not and saved me from an afternoon of hives and vomiting, but not every time. Despite seeing me react every time Mom failed, my grandmother still insisted I was just a picky eater. Eventually, Mom got so sick of taking me to the hospital she decided we were done going to my grandmother's house.
I hate those people. The ones that need to 'make sure' you're not lying for attention. Been the victim of that as well. Never a fun situation to be in when you're in distress and they still refuse to believe you.
My big Sister didn't have allergies but she couldn't tolerate all our Grandmother's fried foods. My Sister was always small-built, & our Grandmother thought she wasn't eating enough so one day she forced my Sister to eat more than she could tolerate. My Sister vomited non-stop on the train ride home with our Mom. My Sister NEVER went to our Grandmother's house again. If I were your Mother, I would have presented your Grandmother with the bill for all those hospital visits. Money ALWAYS talks the loudest!
I'm lucky have medical training. I was at. Starbucks years ago and a lady ahead of me ordered a complex sounding drink. What she actually asked for was a non dairy drink with extra foam and full sugar syrup. The person at the counter rolled her eyes like someone ordering a drink they wanted at a place that offers customization was... extra? The only reason I remember it was a non dairy order is because when she got her drink she asked "and you're sure it's dairy free right?" And the worker snapped at her and said something to the effect of milk wouldn't hurt her but yeah of course. Yall, the woman had an allergic reaction. I recognized it only because of a friend who is deathly allergic to shellfish. She had an epi pen and thankfully it was an auto injector. I just remember talking calmly to her and dumping her purse on the floor and instructing the customer next to me to call 911. Epi halted the reaction but her heart was beating like crazy and she started to hyperventilate. I'm so glad EMS got there quickly. It was really hard not to panic since watching someone hyperventilate is pretty scary. I found put weeks later that employee was fired because she put whipped cream in the drink. Yeah. Dairy whipping cream. In a non dairy drink. And it wasn't wasn't accident. What thebfuck is wrong with people.
My auntie didn't believe that peanut allergies were a thing. We went over to her house for Christmas dinner. She promised my mum that there wasn't any nut products in any of the food. But my auntie had decided to prove to my mum that my allergy was nonsense by putting ground up peanuts into the turkey stuffing. The ambulance arrived 10 minutes after my eppi pen ran out, I hadn't been breathing for 5 minutes, no pulse, I was essentially dead. Luckily, the EMTs got me back, but I had to be helicoptered out because of the snow. My auntie went to the hospital in the ambulance. Afterwards, my auntie said what she had done, my Mum attacked her with a solid brass candlestick and really messed her up. The nurses found out what she'd done and weren't being too sympathetic towards her. The only family my auntie had was our family, no one has spoken to her since. She wanted to press charges against my Mum for battery, but was told we'd insist she be charged with attempted manslaughter in the first degree because it was a deliberate attack on me. She STFU real quick.
I'm an atheist with depression. All retail workers can say happy holidays AND Merry Christmas to me, and it won't bother me! Karens DO bother me, though.
I'm Hebrew. Someone wishing me a happy holiday is perfectly fine with me. These days, however, when someone wishes me a Merry Christmas it irks me to no end. Just because you celebrate a particular holiday doesn't mean everyone else HAS TO DO THE SAME. My response now is: Happy Kwanzaa. When they respond back angrily: I don't celebrate Kwanzaa, I say nonchalantly: & I don't celebrate Christmas.
I am pagan and understand christmas is a stolen holiday, but I love in North Dakota with a religios family so same. Idk why people get so mad about what people wanna call the day.
@@dee_dee_place I would maybe say this out of habit but if you responded with Happy Kwanzaa I’d just wish you that back. Though, tbf I was usually pretty good about saying Happy holidays. Sometimes I’d say merry Christmas if someone said it to me first.
Allergy Story: If I was OP, when the entire family was still harping on my for "Ruining" that 1 dinner years ago, I'd have pulled out a copy of the Medical Report, slam it on the table, slide it towards them and snarl "READ THIS, then tell me again how I ruined that meal by faking an illness!" in a tone of voice that should have melted everything in front of me with it's acid vitriol and rage... 😄😁😆😂😂🤣
Honestly, what I think would happen is, if they did do that, that the mother would accuse them of faking the medical records or accuse them of being dramatic.
Better yet, why even subject themselves to that treatment in the first place? If they now live on their own, just skip any such gatherings from now on and spend the holidays with people who aren't toxic a-holes.
The cashier should not have been written up over a customer menacing/harassing them. That manager should be reported to higher management for failing to maintain a safe work environment.
The customer is always right is a very silly, very American idea. The French will rééducate customers on expected, socially acceptable behaviour. And good on them.
@@michaelpillingnow Actually the correct full term is "The customer is always right, in matters of taste" The phrase means the customer is entitled to buy what they want, despite the quality. Corporate shpeal cut it in half to justify why workers need to put up with such behavior to avoid having to appeal to us.
If my Parents had tried Invoicing me for the first 18 years of my life, I'd have laughed in their face and told them they were completely Insane and their claim has no basis in Law so I'm not giving them a penny... OP and her Sister need to talk to a Lawyer to Sue their Momster for the money she Guilted them into paying...
Story 2 - The second EM said ‘I don’t mean to bother you…’ I already knew that she was gonna cause trouble for OP. And OP was NOT in the wrong nor should he have been made to apologize to that EB.
@@LoveOnTheInsidex3 Except There are actually two stories grouped into the S2 chapter. @tmntfangirl4700 was technically correct. There should be 7 chapters in the video, not 6.
S2: I would have called the hotline and filed a complaint against the manager for work place harassment after what this karen did and request that karen be perma banned from the brand as she does this with every employee and that the manager be demoted and transferred out for failing to protect their employees and for not maintaining a unbiased balance.
Story 4 - Hearing this I can understand why OP’s father divorced her mother. What a selfish narcissistic woman. I’m surprised OP didn’t retort back that she considers her best friend as part of her family, so therefore she can spend time with her Family. My condolences to OP’s friend for their painful loss.😢
I can't imagine charging my kids for the cost of their upbringing. I chose to bring them into this world. *Me.* And it is my joy and honour to raise them with love, and to pay for their needs. They owe me nothing, but I hope I will always have their love.
Story 3 - OP is a wonderful person for doing what she did. That’s the true spirit of the holiday. I will admit that I was expecting Karen’s son to be a rotten spoiled entitled brat like his mom but after hearing OP say that the kid was very grateful for the gifts that she gave him and hugged her, I smiled glad that I was wrong. His mom on the other hand… she’s a horrible person/mother and she calls OP selfish?! Well I’m glad that the grandmother has custody of her son and got him away from her.
OP mentioned that the cousin was selling her food stamps. That is probably what got her put behind bars. Selling those for cash is a FEDERAL crime, so (assuming that is what she was booked for) she's probably gonna be behind bars until after her kid graduates COLLEGE.
Allergies can be deadly. I only have mild reactions to pollen and dust, but my sibling is deathly allergic to nuts. My idiot of an entilted mom tried to feed peanuts to my sib, but I intervened and saved his life, lol.
I literally never understood people's beef with "Happy Holidays" cause I'm usually saying it so I don't have to add "And have a happy new year" to people cause THESE HOLIDAYS ARE A WEEK APART. And I assume I won't see said people until both of these holidays have passed. And how that never occurs to those people confuses me
It's a reaction to a few years ago when there was a concentrated effort by the perpetually offended to ban Christmas for being "too religious" and "not inclusive". The effects linger on today in that many schools and companies still have policies against the use of words or imagery of specific holidays. People got sick of being required to say "Happy Holidays".
Former retail worker here. If the website says we have it and it isn't on the shelf or in the back it is either... A: In someone's shopping cart(and we will NOT take it to give it to you) B:the website is slow to update that it was purchased. Or C: someone, probably another karen, stole it.
some people seem to assume in stock online means every single store in the country must have it. despite the fact the website will ask for location info to be more accurate
The only “feature” on such store website that really bugs me is that, when I’m in a WalMart or Target, the website only shows me the supposed stock on hand for the current store. I’m looking for a particular item, it’s clearly not in stock on the shelf, it’s not on a nearby shelf, and all I want to know is the location of the closest store that has the item. But the store app insists that it is available here and won’t show me the availability at other stores. So I have no choice but to (1) Find a clerk with a scanner [good luck with that] who can look up the stock at other stores, or (2) get in my car and drive into some other parking lot, so that the app recognizes I’m no longer at that store, and then it will show quantities at other stores.
Story 3: that kids requested sweaters and cake as Christmas gifts is heartbreaking. They will never forget what OP did for them. I grew up on welfare and remember holidays like that. One year our mom could only get us each a beanie baby but then a sponsor family arrived Christmas morning and filled our tree with gifts and even brought a turkey. I’ll never forget my mom sobbing from gratitude. It was a very special and emotional day.
Story 3: OP should have taken that to HR to complain that her manager was fostering an unsafe work environment by allowing customers to come up behind the counter like that.
25:52 when you get like the last item, they say it’s not there. It’s probably been stolen because our inventory doesn’t reflect lost items immediately and it takes a while.
Growing up my mom was poor working multiple jobs, so we often relied on food banks. My mom always told me and my sister to be grateful for what we get for Christmas. One year we got sponsored by a police department and the biggest item on that list was a PS2 slim which I was excited about because I got to play Kingdom Hearts. We still have that PS2 to this day.
Story 2: I just wanted to write a quick note for those in the know, what Karen was doing is highly illegal! Food Stamp fraud is a serious offense! If a person is found to be trading an EBT card for something other than food, the offending person has to pay back the program, then they have to go to court and pay penalties; as well as be banned from receiving food stamps for 10 years! Karen I hope you’re enjoying your time in the big house?
Exactly, that wsa the only reason she came by, christmas time is prime scamming time for bad greedy parents. I bet she went by all the free toy give aways too and got mad they cover the barcodes now so parents can't swap them for money.
Story 1: You can't just blame your kids for being born! They didn't ask to be here! They're here because you wanted them here, they don't owe you shit, especially if you're treating them like this! You should've gone on birth control if you didn't want this!
Or just gotten yourself fixed up. I don't like people like that mother. They shouldn't be allowed to breed. It's not the kids fault. But some people are born and raised wrong, and we get masked monsters living amongst us.
6:38 so in the alternate universe where OP died in his bed because he stopped breathing during the night, then his mom yelled at him for faking blue lips and rigor mortis? What the entire hell, man
That mother better hope that she never needs anything from her kids because she won't get it. I'm a widow and live in South Jersey. My son moved to Florida years ago and my daughter and her husband moved to Germany last November. They BOTH came home in February because I had major surgery. I wasn't allowed to drive for a month and couldn't do much of anything. Needless to say, I was extremely grateful that they both came.
Story #1: I didn't even get into the full story & I'm angry as heck. If you don't want to be financially responsible for kids, abstain from sex or use birth control! My Parents were dirt poor but it wasn't until both of them had passed away that I realized just how poor we were. They never let on. They always afforded me the essentials & 1 non-essential thing. No mention of money was ever made to me, that is until I was a teenager & I made my Mom tell me why I couldn't buy a blouse I wanted. Mom was brought to tears while telling me she couldn't afford it. I told her, I'm old enough to understand that you 'Can't get blood from a stone', if you can't afford it, you can't afford it, no problem. If I want it badly enough, I'll find a way to make the money to buy it on my own. From then on, Mom was very upfront with me about whether she could afford a non-essential or not. And she still didn't bring up the cost of anything.
I love listening to you read these stories, Fluff. Especially when I am playing a video game, helps me to focus and puts a smile on my face when people get what they deserve for being idiots
Door Story: If I was the Manager, I'd have quietly waved the Guard away when he stated towards Karen to wave the door open and just called the Police so Karen is still there screaming like a Banshee and hammering on the door when they arrive, then I'd have her Arrested for Creating a Public Disturbance, Vandalism (for hammering on the door) and Trespassing (for not leaving when she was told to)... Would that be Vindictively Petty? Oh HELL YES!!! Would I be at all sorry? Oh HELL NO!!! 😄😁😆😂😂🤣
Story 2. The saddest part is that OP hasn't ghosted her family and blocked them on everything. My Mother and every other family member who supported her and not me. Would also be dead to me. Story 6. Laughing at an embarrassed Karen is good, but you have to Point at her and Horse Laugh to really make her mad!
The entitled cousin demanding christmas presents for her kid was probably peeved she couldn't take them away from said kid and refund them for cash for herself. She was probably deluding herself that OP would gift the kid a playstation or something like that.
Invoice story: I'd seriously consider getting a lawyer and you and your sister filing a lawsuit to recover the monies you paid her "back" after you turned 18 until you stopped. Children don't have a say in being born or raised. The parents make those choices and take on those responsibilities as a part of those choices. Speaking of parents, where was your father in all of this or was he even in the picture? Cookie/tree nut allergy story: OP, I would simply refuse to go with them this year. They're beating a dead horse and it needs to stop. "Happy Holidays" story: The moment Karen stepped BEHIND THE COUNTER is when security should have been called. OP, if you haven't already you should start a job search for someplace that will appreciate you over a b**chy customer. Christmas story: As painful as it may be for him, the kid is probably a lot better off with his grandmother. "Family" story: Quite frankly when her mother was insisting on both Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day, OP should have told her: "Mom, you get ONE or NONE and I choose which". And I'd start making plans to see the grandparents without her present. Target story: While I'm not the biggest fan of online shopping, I do so on occasion. I'm 69 and even I realize that stores are not always going to have every single item in stock or that the last item listed on the website as still being in stock in the store can be bought by someone else that gets there first. And if you NEEEEEED that item, order it well ahead of time.
Story number one sounds like my best friend's mother. Except his mother made him start paying rent the day he got a job and basically made him pay almost his entire check. She finally asked him to move into the garage apartment and started charging him more in rent. She nickle and dimed him. I thought she was just insane and now I see it's apparently a phenomenon
Story 2. I had a customer at Christmas time get absolutely angry at me over me saying happy holidays, she decided to get back in line, got to her again and she proceeded to yell at me saying "I'm a god fearing woman, we say merry Christmas not holidays, you kids being offended by it is dumb" haven't seen her since
Story 1: Sorry, Karen. Parenting is *supposed* to be thankless. The most you can expect in return is the words "thank you". (I'm grateful that the only time my mother complained about costs was the time I talked to my grandfather on the phone, almost an hour a night, for a month, which nearly doubled our phone bill. And she didn't bill me; she only made me promise to cut back. I even remember *exaggerating this story* to my friends at school, telling them the phone bill had been over $1,000.) Story 2: This is just sad. Science deniers should be punished, and that includes people who don't believe in allergies. Allergies have been proven many times over, and should have the unconditional right to be accommodated at any cost. Story 3: Further proof that it's impossible to please everyone. Story 4: There's a phrase not enough people use in this kind of situation: "Sorry, we thought you were a no-show." Story 5: If anyone in my family had been anywhere near as entitled as OP's mother, I would have definitely gone no-contact.
10:01 If I say "happy holidays" and someone snaps back at me pretending that Christians are persecuted, I come back with "Oh, you don't celebrate Thanksgiving or New Years?"
I had a customer in drive thru say actually it's Christmas. So I replied actually that's still 3days away but happy Hanukkah. And closed the window in his face. When the manager asked me about it I said I hope the guy gets a calendar for Xmas.
I've worked different types of retail for over 50 years. Mostly in grocery. With a customer getting that close to you; even after Covid; you have a right to ask them to stand back. That manager was an AH. That Karen was way too close to that cashier and her till. He should have told the customer that she was intruding into an Employees only area. I hope that she has a union and went to them sighting personal endangerment and stress from a customer. I say HAPPY HOLIDAYS to customers because there are at least 18 different holidays that are celebrated during the month of December. If you say Merry Christmas to me, I will say it back.
Story 2: Allergies are not fake. Both women sound deranged for still bringing it up. Story 3: Terrible manager for trying to make OP apologize and then being written up. SMH
That last story and Fluff's comments remind me of the time when my Dad went into a Ford dealer, wanting a left-handed sprocket wrangler, or clockwise blinker fluid, or tartan paint, some single item. Counter clerk takes down the details, tappytaps his computer, says "Nah. We haven't got any". Dad looks at him "Yes you have". "No we haven't", is the response. "Yes you have, I can see it right there on your shelf" "No you can't, we haven't got any" After arguing ten minutes with this guy flatly refusing to acknowledge the evidence of his own eyes, Dad flung his hands in the air, left, and bought his item elsewhere. I maintain, to this day, that he should have walked around the counter and pocketed the item that wasn't there... You can't be accused of stealing an item that doesn't exist.
I was at the movie theater once and said Happy Holidays to the ticket taker. For the record, he was Jewish, but appreciated the well wishes. I get in line at t;he concession stand and I hear a lady complaining about you should say "Merry Christmas" and if you don''t then you are part of the "war on Christmas." I didn't say anything, but the only reason I say "Happy Holidays" is because I realize that Christmas isn't the only holiday
Last story: I imagine the old guy doubled over laughing at the woman as she leaves. He probably told everyone he knows about that woman and laughed every time as he told the story. And I love that for him.
I have to wonder if the Christmas Invoice reflected all the paychecks crediting towards the total amount, or if the paycheck confiscation was just straight up theft...?
I would've sent a bill back for every chore I've ever done as well at that point. Everything from ever having to drive someone somewhere or taking out the trash. It's only fair that if I'm going to pay for every little thing that I get to deduct back everything I ever did as well.
On the OP with the nut allergy, I just don't understand why they would ever spend a minute in the company of such a toxic, abusive person. "And she tells the story of how I pretended to be sick to make everyone miserable." Once, and then you'll never see my ugly mug again. I've received enough abuse, I ain't volunteering for more.
Can i say how Story 2 and Story 3 are such downers? One with the entitled aunt and mother refusing to aknowledge OP's allergy, the other with a shitty manager that decided to side with the karen and blame OP. I wouldn't be surprised if once grown up, OP cuts contact with aunt & mother, and especially if the manager ends up demoted or fire.
In story 3 I love the way the evil mom said your dad left us, and all I can think is Will lady if you're like that I don't blame him. I would have ran for the hills as well. Honestly who could blame someone for not wanting to be around that level of toxicity
That’s when “traumatize them back” applies and you say, “My uncle is dying of cancer, but you’re right. I should be smiling. How thoughtless of me to be sad about a family member’s impending death!”
I'm on a limited income I already got my 32 year old son his Christmas present already.Them being an adult doesn't mean they don't deserve presents. And it's our job to raise our kids. They don't owe us for that.
Do you have your own transportation to Christmas dinner? If so, write your mom and Aunt (and anyone else who likes to bring it up) that if they mention the cookie incident, you're leaving. Then, if they mention the cookie incident, simply getup and leave. Don't say anything to anyone, just leave. If they call you about your leaving just hang up. If they text or email you, just delete it and move on. Their bringing it up is a form of abuse, you don't haver to accept abuse from anyone, including from your mom. Don't get angry, don't scream and shout, don't throw or break things. Just be disappointed that your family feels the need to belittle you and remove yourself from the situation.
Regarding the cookies, you have a copy of the allergies, so take it with you to the next family dinner and shove it under their nose when they bring up your being a "brat." It is time to shut them up.
Story 1: Op and their sibling never 'asked' to be born. That was all on their mother. She can't bill them for 💩 like EXISTING, that's called being a parent. 😐
"Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part. Christmas has been on the same fricking day for at least a hundred years, so if you don't get your holiday shopping done in a timely manner, that's on you."
Christmas Story: If I was OP, I'd have filed a Child Neglect Case against Karen with CPS... And I wouldn't care if she knows I'm the one that turned her Miserable, Negligent, Entitled ASS in...
AMEN! If these no-good Parents got slapped with consequences, they would not be doing all this crap. Not only would they have their children taken away from them, but if their abuse or neglect warranted it, they would get jail time.
Stores shouldn’t bother putting that info on the website if it’s not accurate. Save the employees some pain by asking people to call to verify availability of an item.
Story 1 - My heart goes out to OP and his sister for having an evil penny pinching witch of a mother like her. If I were OP I’d look into hiring a lawyer about his Mom’s emotional abuse towards him and his sister and her finances. See if she’s been committing financial fraud, tax evasion… stuff like that.
Story 1: That mom should've been sued for at least fraud and fiscal abuse/financial exploitation. No contract was ever signed by any parties, thus, non-binding.
I cashiered, whenever the "crazy Christmas Karens" both male and female, get upset over me saying " Happy Holidays" I usually say something like, "New Year's is an official holiday, you get a day off and drink." The male karens usually back off because, they cant argue against the drinking logic lol.
On that last story if a large store like Walmart or Target has a website that says there's only one or two items left they can't find it because the items were probably stolen and it wasn't caught yet.
I wonder if the mom in the first story bothered to subtract what her kids had already paid her back from the paychecks they had earned up til they turned 18.... I suspect not.
Ah yes Story 6 Karen, because if they don't have the item and you want it from this particular store so badly, then they will be motivated enough to physically manifest a new unit right in front of them using magic and you get exactly what you want how you want it. Seriously though if they don't have it, they don't have it. You stomping your feet won't make what I described in the sentence above happen.
Half the time when the store shows 1 or 2 items in stock and they can't find it. It is because some inconsiderate customer has picked it up and put it down where it doesn't belong. Instead of putting it back or giving it to an employee to put back.
When i worked at a company that rhymes with bowls. I found out that if something was in an ad. They had to have to have a couple in any/all the stores in a district. Not each individual store.
Yeah, about the last story: the numbers on the website come from the inventory software. They're updated whenever an item is checked out at the register. If the 1 item the website says is available is currently in a customers shopping cart or has been stolen however, the website can't update for obvious reasons.
More detail: while most parents understand allergic reactions we treated, some just denied it, wrongly blaming their child’s reaction on something else. Had some repeat visits with worsened (dangerous) symptoms and even then, some would deny.
We don't celebrate the holidays. When someone wishes me a "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays" I don't find it necessary to berate the person or explain we don't celebrate. I smile and say, "Thank you."
The last story seems accurate. I worked at T for 6 years, and once I had someone google an item, then when T popped up on the search page (didn’t click the link to the item), drove to the store. She was then mad at me for it not being something we carried. And the whole ‘the website says you have one, so you must have it’ was super annoying, especially for holiday hot items.
OMG, couldn't Karen just let her son just be happy with the gifts he was given and loved? It's not the price of the gifts it's how well chosen they are for the recipient.
Story 6: If the store's website, or if store employee's handheld device, shows an inventory count of 1 item, and that 1 item can't be found, chances are it's been stolen and the store's inventory has not been updated to reflect that loss.
I had the self same thing happen to me as that first OP, my mother displayed that same sense of entitlement when I got invoiced for my keep throughout my childhood. she was politely informed that I didn't ask to be born.
Having worked retail for more years than I care to remember, it has always baffled me as to why people wait until 2-3 days before Christmas for specific items. I had more than my share of Karens and Kens losing their minds over not getting what they want.
Story 6: the grocery chain I work for has almost the same thing, except the site advertises stock that isn't carried in every store. The customers I have to explain that too are usually understanding.
Story 6 - due to shoplifting the inventory is usually off in large stores. The computer doesn’t know that someone stole a particular item. I used to work at Walmart. If the computer said we had 5 of something in stock there was a good chance we only had two or three. That is why so many things are locked up behind glass cases.
Invoicing your kid for the living expenses as a child is ridiculous. No one asked to be born.
That's about as ridiculous as the guy about a decade ago or so ago who posted a video to TH-cam about how he was suing his parents because he didn't consent to being born
Sounds like the dad wasn't in the picture too, so that money they supposedly owed was the child supposed she was getting.
In the United States suing your children for money due to raising them won’t hold up in court
Repeat after me, people...
YOUR CHILDREN DON'T OWE YOU ANYTHING FOR RAISING THEM!!!
That’s right! YOU decided that YOU wanted kids so therefore YOU are responsible for raising and caring for them!
Exactly. It’s quite literally the job of the parent to provide for the kids they decided to have. They don’t owe you anything for you doing what a parent is supposed to do
I can understand at a certain age if they have a stable job helping with utilities, groceries, and such but not to the extreme in that story.
They didn't ask to be born. If I had money, I'd pay my son to come see me. With his life, even a few hours is precious.
At least your mother worked out that *something* was going wrong with you
My big Sister didn't have allergies but she couldn't tolerate all our Grandmother's fried foods.

She STFU real quick.
wow thats some next level stupid, risking killing someone to prove a point
I have to admit. Your mother sounds like an awesome woman!
A lot of people to this day think that allergies are a completely made-up illness. Especially food based ones.
@@dee_dee_place
It sounds to me like you just might have a touch of the Karen gene. Just say thanks and move on with your life.
@@dee_dee_place I would maybe say this out of habit but if you responded with Happy Kwanzaa I’d just wish you that back. Though, tbf I was usually pretty good about saying Happy holidays. Sometimes I’d say merry Christmas if someone said it to me first.
@@dee_dee_placeI like saying Blessed Yule!
I/m pretty sure that is what op is planning on doing this time.
@@DarkRavenWolf50feel like this a known thing that is so common sense but as everyone knows. Common sense isn’t common these days

With interest
Story 2 - The second EM said ‘I don’t mean to bother you…’ I already knew that she was gonna cause trouble for OP. And OP was NOT in the wrong nor should he have been made to apologize to that EB.
Story 2 but yes I agree
@ Oh oops.
And filed a complaint with their states' labor board.
@@CassandraY I agree and have every employee file a complaint about this customer and if this same manager does the same to them.
Seriously, I wouldn't have even told the Mom or her Parents that I was coming for a visit.
No fuss, no muss.
I can't imagine charging my kids for the cost of their upbringing. I chose to bring them into this world. *Me.* And it is my joy and honour to raise them with love, and to pay for their needs. They owe me nothing, but I hope I will always have their love.
You're an amazing parent!
You are a wonderful mother (if you are female). Lots of love to you ❤️
Story 3 - OP is a wonderful person for doing what she did.
I would find baby daddy and tell him what she's doing with the child support money!!
@@YvonneFobbsassuming there is any
I would just like to know where she and her son were the night before.
@ Me too but if I had to hazard a guess, probably at Karen’s new ‘boyfriends’ place.
There's hope for the kid with the Karen mom. A hug and a thank you is a great sign.😊
6:47 story two: I would say that if you give food with allergies, knowing someone is allergic, it a crime. And not believing in allergies is stupid.
Not clued up on US law, but wouldn't it be poisoning?
OP, being allergic to anything is no joke. I would cut contact.
Yep total no contact until mom's funeral where OP should tell this specific story.
And how that never occurs to those people confuses me
Some people just want something to be offended at.
I just tell people to have a good holiday.
My favorite is Happy Hallowthanksmas.
It was part of that imaginary "War on Christmas."
Former retail worker here. If the website says we have it and it isn't on the shelf or in the back it is either...
A: In someone's shopping cart(and we will NOT take it to give it to you)
B:the website is slow to update that it was purchased.
I like that idea me personally I wouldn't had sign the write up.
@@og_3rd_st_saint_gatYeah exactly, screw signing that. Preserve your dignity, they did nothing wrong.
...story 2 is the walnut allergy one, right?
@@AeonTrespassField Sorry... I meant story 3. I fixed it. Thanks!
"If it happens again you're fired."
"Well you better fire me now, 'cause if she comes in again, it will."
25:52 when you get like the last item, they say it’s not there. It’s probably been stolen because our inventory doesn’t reflect lost items immediately and it takes a while.
Or, you know, it's in someone's cart who hasn't made it to the register yet.
It it could also be somewhere in the store that someone just left randomly, it truly does suck
My guess is that was the least of the things she did.
Story 4 - OP's entitled cousin is mad because OP gave her son presents that wouldn't be worth returning for cash or reselling.
Amen!!
@jakcrazyfan13 😁👍
Or just gotten yourself fixed up. I don't like people like that mother. They shouldn't be allowed to breed. It's not the kids fault. But some people are born and raised wrong, and we get masked monsters living amongst us.
Hallelujah!!!
She might have planned that. Those kids would pay all her bills once they turned 18 until she retired.
6:38 so in the alternate universe where OP died in his bed because he stopped breathing during the night, then his mom yelled at him for faking blue lips and rigor mortis? What the entire hell, man
Give Mom a bill for all the chores and errands you did.
Story 1: sue her to get your money back.
Story #1:
I didn't even get into the full story & I'm angry as heck.

@@mjjoe76 Well of COURSE he can...
Why should he be the only one not splitting his sides rolling on the floor laughing at Karen?
😄😁😆😂😂🤣
BLOODY HELL YES!
I always say "Happy hollandaise", like the sauce.
Good one!
It's huge with the parents that only had kids out of obligation.
I even remember *exaggerating this story* to my friends at school, telling them the phone bill had been over $1,000.)
Story 2: This is just sad. Science deniers should be punished, and that includes people who don't believe in allergies. Allergies have been proven many times over, and should have the unconditional right to be accommodated at any cost.
Story 3: Further proof that it's impossible to please everyone.
Story 4: There's a phrase not enough people use in this kind of situation: "Sorry, we thought you were a no-show."
Story 5: If anyone in my family had been anywhere near as entitled as OP's mother, I would have definitely gone no-contact.
10:01 If I say "happy holidays" and someone snaps back at me pretending that Christians are persecuted, I come back with "Oh, you don't celebrate Thanksgiving or New Years?"
I'd say, you stole the holiday from the pagans, so be grateful Christmas is even included in the batch.
I had a customer in drive thru say actually it's Christmas. So I replied actually that's still 3days away but happy Hanukkah. And closed the window in his face. When the manager asked me about it I said I hope the guy gets a calendar for Xmas.
@@meh2510 This late into the millennia, I honestly don't care if Christmas was stolen from the pagans or not.
I would have been on the floor laughing so hard at the Karen who walked into the door that I wouldn't be able to breath.
I expected the second time she tried to storm out, the guard released the door and she fell through!
"Yes you have, I can see it right there on your shelf"
"No you can't, we haven't got any"
After arguing ten minutes with this guy flatly refusing to acknowledge the evidence of his own eyes, Dad flung his hands in the air, left, and bought his item elsewhere.
OH DEAR LORD I HOPE SO! 😂
I have to wonder if the Christmas Invoice reflected all the paychecks crediting towards the total amount, or if the paycheck confiscation was just straight up theft...?
Definitely straight up theft but would probably argue it went towards interest or something
Agreed. OP in that story needs to cut ties and spend Christmas with people who actually care.
Story two..... OP is "selfish"!? Karen, look in the effing mirror! It's the parents' job to provide a good Christmas for the child. 😮
I remember the xmas season when I found out my uncle had stage 4 cancer, I was depressed and I had a woman screaming at me to smile
The inventory shown on line NEVER accounts for shop lifters. Never trust what it says, unless you’re a Karen.

“If you leave don’t ever come back!” My response, “Do you promise?”
Story 1: That mom should've been sued for at least fraud and fiscal abuse/financial exploitation. No contract was ever signed by any parties, thus, non-binding.
24:35
If i had been there, i would've done my best Nelson Muntz impression when Little Miss Entitled walked into the door.
1:59 the entitledment of the mother is so bad. And the op needs to sue the mom for the money.
I cashiered, whenever the "crazy Christmas Karens" both male and female, get upset over me saying " Happy Holidays" I usually say something like, "New Year's is an official holiday, you get a day off and drink."
The male karens usually back off because, they cant argue against the drinking logic lol.
On that last story if a large store like Walmart or Target has a website that says there's only one or two items left they can't find it because the items were probably stolen and it wasn't caught yet.
I always thought happy holidays was said to include not only Christmas, but New Years also.
And Kwanzaa, Saturnalia, the solstice…
I wonder if the mom in the first story bothered to subtract what her kids had already paid her back from the paychecks they had earned up til they turned 18....
I suspect not.
Ah yes Story 6 Karen, because if they don't have the item and you want it from this particular store so badly, then they will be motivated enough to physically manifest a new unit right in front of them using magic and you get exactly what you want how you want it.
Seriously though if they don't have it, they don't have it. You stomping your feet won't make what I described in the sentence above happen.
10:30 should have responded "and what would berating someone with depression for saying happy holidays do to them?"
1st story, 700k? I'd sue for future therapy and go no contact
Sounds like she shouldn’t have become a mother. How dare you charge a child bc you had unprotected sex and had a child.
First Story - INSANITY!!
Love the Santa hat!❤
When I moved to Tennessee I worked as a cashier and one Christmas I told a little old lady Happy Holidays. She told me it's Merry Christmas.
when she said don't come back I woulda said "fine" went to the friend and then back to Dad, who is actually Moore family than she is.
Happy Holidays Story: You can't win with some people, they only look for excuses to get mad
Parents like the one in story one is the most ridiculous person ever. If you don't want kids, don't have them. Their existence isn't their fault.
They should have asked: “does this go on my record?” “Yep” “where’s my paycheck cause I quit”
Karen Christmas stories.
In the 2nd story, I would 100% just quit that job. Being told to apologize to a customer that is harassing you? HELL NO!
Love you in a Santa Hat!🧑🎄
Story 6 - due to shoplifting the inventory is usually off in large stores. The computer doesn’t know that someone stole a particular item. I used to work at Walmart. If the computer said we had 5 of something in stock there was a good chance we only had two or three. That is why so many things are locked up behind glass cases.
