Rudy goes over the installation that any first time tuner can tackle, installing a performance exhaust system on a 2017 Honda Civic Sedan. Overall, the process is very straightforward and should only take about 2 hours with the right tools.

For the 3 studs I put the 10mm on the stud and had to use all my body weight to break them. Plus I was doing this while the car was on a lift 6 feet in the air. But if you wanted to, try using the 10mm and hammering the extension to the sides not aright on it. Don't try tightening until the stud breaks, these studs are too strong
If anyone struggling to get the studs off the cat use a torch get it red hot and then hammer it off with the extended 10mm socket

Can this exhaust fit on a lx 2.0? I know ex is 1.6t but would it technically fit the same.

easiest way to remove the studs is get a pitman arm puller that you can put a socket on the end, center it on the stud and over the other side of the flange. pops out with ease. I wish i would have known this before wasting so much time with the other ways listed here. Took 5 minutes to remove all 3 studs.

A trick i like to do with those fused studs . put a rag behind it . hit it with a air hammer . Like butta.

Will this install work on the EX model of the hatchback? There's no dual center exhuast on the ex hatchback I believe it's similiar to the sedan
Installing a 3” is way harder due to the limited space between the exhaust & front pipe.
Really surprised you didn't think it would be a good idea to start it up and let us hear it. There aren't very many good sound clips of exhausts on these cars for people that are interested. Also, is there still no solution available for the sport hatch? I'm still waiting on those base bushings and video for the sport hatch short shifter install as well, lol!
+Steve Serena Fitment on the hatchback model hasn't been confirmed as of yet. Once full testing is complete, we will add it to the site if it fits. As for the sound clip... We have more videos coming, might be somewhere in there.... ;)

Made it look so easy! I had to take out all the under panels and take the downpipe out just to get those stupid welded bolts off.

evan surprenant im having a hard time taking the bolts off too. I took off the metal shield and pulled the plastic down as well just to remove the nuts. After that i took off the whole exhaust and im just struggling with the "welded" bolts! Tried using the tips in this video but i just cant!

At first i was patient and didn't want to bend the metal but then i went to lunch with the GF (her civic not mine) and came back and i did what he did with the 10mm socket but you literally have to BEND the socket from one side to another until you hear a giant snap and they come off...took me 1 minute to take them all off and all it took was anger :D

+Beyman Medrano We basically got the EXT as soon as it came out. At the time, the Hatchback was not available yet. Then we got the si on release time as well. Unfortunately, cars are expensive and these two encompass most of the parts currently available. Hopefully you understand. Thanks!

Yes, but I can't take credit. @mattg327 suggested a pitman arm puller. I got mine at Harbor Freight for $16. Made that part super simple.

+xtariz dranix At the current moment, the exhaust system is not available for the hatchback models. The same goes for the wing as the Type R has not yet been released for study. If and/or when these parts are released, we will make sure to add them to the site.
would this work on the civic sport with the center exit exhaust? it’s not a true center exit because the muffler is on the right and it sort of loops around.

What exhausts are good for the 10th gen SI. The exists for them are different than the ones for the other civics
+Anirudh Upadhyayula At the moment, there is no aftermarket exhaust that will fit the si. Since the si has a center mounted exhaust with a specialized tip, there is no current exhaust available. If and when one is released, we'll make sure to add it to the site.

It will not. They are completely different platforms and design.

I have an n1 on my 9th gen SI. what can I use to bring back my shine to my muffler and exhaust tip. it's rather dull and has lost its blue coloring.

In most cases, you do not need to tune. However, note that we are based in the US and the RS trim is not available here. As such, we cannot 100% guarantee this as there may be some changes to the ECU or other systems compared to the US models.

As far as I can tell, no one has released an option for the sport hatch yet. I do not want to take my car to a local shop and I desperately want one.

+Alain Aranita Yes, this is a EX-T Sedan. The stock system has 2 mufflers. This N1 system converts it to a single tip instead.
Will this exhaust fit the gen 10 hatchback lx?
It will not directly install. The hatchback LX has a similar exhaust routing, but a different rear end. It will not install directly without modifications.
Will this exhaust pass smog test ?

The one we installed it on is a manual, but it will fit CVT models as well.
I hit those studs so manytimes they would not break. Now my cat rattles . DO NOT HIT THOSE STUDS. work them back and fourth with a socket until they break loose.
