Hey Dave! Great take! Even though there is a lot left to speculation I think you're on the right track. Thanks for being one of the only Lore Videos to look at the Golden Lineage as a Lineage, and not The Golden Nuclear Family, or the Golden Brady bunch. I think you nailed it: Godfrey-Godwyn-Godefroy-Godrick (and I think its probably likely nobody other than family was ever made aware of Morgott until he emerged to defend the Erdtree after the shattering, and likely very few people know of Mohg). That being said, major speculation, but since Godrick very literally had a seat at the table, its hard to say when Godefroy would have started grafting, or attacked the capitol, but I just think it highly unlikely that he was a brother of Godrick moreso the Heir before Godrick. Once imprisoned, Godrick, no matter how undesireable or undeserving was the next in line, and that's the only reason he ever made it to the Capitol to begin with. Looking forward to your thoughts on Godwyn!
Gostoc is missing his left arm, and that could've been used for grafting to godrick or the scions, which explains his hatred for him. But godrick wants only the most worthy and powerful to be grafted to him, which gostoc is anything but that. The same goes for the scions but to a lesser extent. Like no commoner would be grafted to a scion. Either gostoc's missing arm is unrelated, which I doubt, or gostoc could be hiding something.
I'm sure this has been mentioned but Godrick did not send the Knight to take Fort Haight, nor slay the demi human queen to cause the uprising. Mogh did. It's hinted at by the description of the ash of war the knight uses. The Roses. And the ghost not far from the fort.
I posit when Enia states the demigods are each and everyone the direct decedent's of Marika, it is true of Godrick as well. In other words the statements of his blood being diluted is not because he's someone's grandchild or great grandchild. Rather his grafting has had the unintended consequence of "sorely diluting" his blood...
Don't think Godrick would waste fine body parts by crucifying people. I feel it is more attributed towards the presence of the patrolling Tree Sentinel that is in service of Leyndell. As for Godrick, his claims for being the "Lord of all that is golden” reeks of bs. Just someone who feels entitled by birthright no matter how far below the pecking order he is situated. Still, he is a poor soul. Humiliated and disdained.
To be fair imagine having a throne amongst royalty but you're constantly laughed at for having diluted blood and being weaker compared to your colleagues/family members. It'd probably give me an inferiority complex as well. Always trying to prove myself that I am worthy of my lineage. The pitiful part is that the man would never and could never be strong enough to stand amongst gods.
Hey Dave curious if you actually see this, are you going to be putting up all your Elden Ring Lore vids on gamespot here on out or will your channel also have them?
Tarnished, it was I who laughed in the face of Malenia, conquered to infinite loop of the Death Rune an now stand as Consort Eternal. Outer Gods tremble with fear and....KNEE for I am the THIRD Elden Lord!😈🤣💀🤷🏾♂️ What its my intro cuh
That song is from the Kings Field series the song being Garrison if I remember correctly. Very very nostalgic old game that needs a proper remake once the Elden Ring dlcs are done... I hope.
New theory: Godrick insulted Malenia just to lick her boots.
I too, would lick a boot
He was trying to graft her boot to his face
I see even more parallels between Godrick and the tarnished
Ugh. No. I’m a barefoot guy. Boots/shoes ain’t an interest of mine.
stop kink shaming
23:37 That was pure "gold", good job on that.
Glad you’re still able to put out the content you like doing man

When I heard ''Murica helped the Erd tree by sending Godfrey to slay the giants.'' My first thoughts were: Is the USA actual lore in this universe???
Oh didn't expect this channel to give some lore

He's a thief and common punishment for thieves in lots of cultures is cutting off their fingers or hands
Gostoc has a cut line of dialog where he reveals he is godricks son.
Godricks voice actor tho that "BEAR WITNESS" straight outta Mad Max hahaha
"I hear old godrick's acquired a ferocious new toy to graft."
made me laugh (after)

Hark thee Davecontrol and bring us the Elden Ring lore. Praise the Dave!

Great video! Glad to have more Dave lore :)
Something that I notice a out Godrick is that he never took part in Dragon Communion. Just imagine e if he became a Magma Wyrm with Grafted parts

@@citizenvulpes4562 or maybe he just feels far superior even if he is further down the family tree because Godfrey's other sons were born as Omens.
Could also be the Nights cavalry, as thier sole job is hunting tarnished to stop them from reaching the capital.
this video answers so many questions!
Dave's back
More content like this please!
Lets go!
New lore vids by DaveControl!
I just noticed that Godrick has moves that are similar to Godfrey. Also, is Zerosh a grafted being while alive?
More elden ring lore please!😍 that was a great lore video!
Hey Dave curious if you actually see this, are you going to be putting up all your Elden Ring Lore vids on gamespot here on out or will your channel also have them?
I’ll have a playlist on my personal channel, but for the time being the videos will be posted here. Hope that helps!
Gostoc is definitely Godricks son. Godrick probably took his left arm and grafted it to himself and that’s part of why he has so much hate for him.
There is cut content which indicates that. And he would possibly have been an option for the throne which you end up giving to Nepheli
Great video
I NEED MORE!!!
Woah, never knew about the disguised scion in Liurnia

Woo Dave!
Godrick is basically the Radiz of the Elden Ring universe
Great shout. Underrated take.
Radahn next??
What's the Music at 13:05?

@@RunEscaqe3 Thank you so much!!!

Just killed him in my first try with ashes he was so easy :D
Seconh
Be honest: You read this title wrong
First
can confirm
Geez now they're doing lore videos now? Just stick to what you do gamespot, making terrible video game reviews.
Disrespectful dude.. Dave has been making lore videos for ages.
Or you could ,just go away .
This lowly tarnished lost their sight for grace... now wanders in the lands between as a raw meat dumpling.
This has quite a but of quality to it even with the conjecture which many lore videos sometimes don't offer.
