      @@Etorres21 Mmm I’m not sure about that, he throws his punches too low leaving himself open for a counter. Don’t get me wrong he’s a great fighter and could’ve finished Charles, ground defense was phenomenal by Chandler as well. Oliveira just came out on top. I’m sure he’ll get another shot at it. Excited to see more of his fights and how he does.

      @@oculosis_5594 It couldn't have been Justin, because his last fight was not only a finish loss, but a finish loss to the champion. If they wanted Justin instead of Dustin who refused to fight, they needed him to win and possibly wait another few months to make the title fight against Charles. Chandler stepped up, the other ones were booked. If anything, Dustin made things more complicated.

    Chandler isnt even joking when he says " i pretty much gave my back to oliveira" because he did...super impressive he was able to give up his back to one of the best ground game opponents in the business and still got out...and didnt just get out but flipped the position to one that benefited him. I liked both these fighters, happy to see Oliveira get gold but a ton of respect for Chandler. What a time to be a fight fan, especially in the lightweights. This isnt over for Chandler, sucks to see him lose but i hope his fans keep their heads up. This guy is a seasoned veteran with a ton of composure. He assess's the situations well..he will correct his mistakes and be back. No shame in losing to Oliveira.

    His eyes when he asked him about taking in the moment before the fight. This is what the UFC needs more of:fighters who appreciate the fans, the environment, the opportunity and are all action, confident yet humble and gracious in defeat. I feel sorry for whoever has the belt when he gets his next chance at the title.

    My first inclination was to root against him when his first fight in the UFC was against a top guy in Hooker.
    But after that I went back and watched all his old fights.

      Lmao his iq is shit. He was beating Charles on the feet badly in rd 1 and both times he rocked him, he went into his guard. Should've stood it back up and finished. Instead he dicked around in Charles guard letting him recover. Falling into Charles plan; Make it to rd 2.

      Yea he even said that the only way he knows how to fight is to be too aggressive. That was his downfall. He's not on the same level as Khabib, Poirier, Gaethje, Ferguson, Conor, Dariush, RDA, Makachev and more. This is the UFC not Bellator. Have to fight relaxed and smart sometimes. Can't be too aggressive all the time or you will burn yourself out.

      yes i thought chandler was going to finish him on early round 2 .never seen a main event championship fight with this level of back and forth. this fight was like a high fying prowrestling style cruiserweight match.

      That's his M.O. The guy is super exciting to watch. His fights in Bellator were really the only reason to watch Bellator sometimes. He will get another shot. I think he's probably one of the top 3 in the division. Oliviera just had way more experience, especially in the UFC and fighting at the highest level in this promotion. Chandler had been ko'd before, but I still didn't expect it to happen here. I predicted a submission win for Charles.
