That's an ideal modern 911 in a beautiful color. Definition of "a keeper."
Thank you, I agree
The porche 911 is the dream. Looks beautiful man!
Thank you. More videos on this car coming soon. Check out my 4 year review. Thanks for subscribing.
Still enjoying my 2017 Carrera with PDK that I bought new. Had to order it because I wanted the red and black leather interior. I have put a Cobb tune on it to boost hp and torque. These are great driving cars that will bring a smile to your face every time. Nice review.
Cool, what horsepower and torque did the Cobb tune give you?
@ Cobb said it added 57 hp and 114 ft lb of torque with 93 octane gas. You can definitely feel the difference.
This is my old Porsche!!! I sold it to a dealer in Philly with just under 8k miles....I miss it every day....Tom
Hi Tom. Your car is in good hands. I purchased it in May of 2020. I was searching the country for a Miami Blue 991 with a manual transmission. Impossible to find. Did you order the car new or bought it off the lot? I love the spec I would have ordered the same options minus the sunroof. Just curious, What did you trade it in for?
Thanks Glenn. Always appreciate your take on your P cars. I like the fact you try and keep your cars “driver cars” and use them appropriately. You really don’t need all the extras, and you buy them right. This one is just perfect. I’m not a fan of that color, but my opinion really doesn’t matter. 😅.
Great comment, thank you! Just curious, what color would you choose if you could have any color you want?
The classic green, a dark marrón, graphic silver.
Still got my 2017- 911C2S cab, pdk, but it got kicked out of my 1 car garage as i traded a cayman 2.5 gts pdk for a
718 sypder manual.....
20k low miles, i got 26k on mine. Prices on new and used are still ridiculous.
If your auto stop/start stop working when on your battery is getting bad is what I noticed and had 2 replaced.
Great comment. I will probably replace the battery in the spring. Which do you like better the 718 spyder or your 991.2 cab?

Spyder, took it to big imsa road atlanta race, it stole the show in the porshe car corral, 300 hundred cars with only the GT2 RS,maybe got more attention ! Chalk...
Which radar detector do you have, and do you recommend it? Thx
I just got a top of the line Uniden. My previous was the Escort 8500. I probably would have gotten that again but the new prices was ridiculous. So far so good with the Uniden
Thanks Glenn, your videos have truly touched me. Your energy and passion for the Porsche 911 99.1 is the reason I love my 2014 99.1
Please keep the vibe you bring to everyone. Your Porsche video really makes me feel proud to drive my car. I’m also a PCA member
Blessings to you in all your endeavors.💯😊Jammie Dees( LakeSpivey Georgia)
Thanks Jammie, I am glad you are enjoying my videos. I will post another video on my 911 on Monday !
Thanks for the heads up on the lighter plug in the passenger side footwell! I've been plugging it into the ashtray.
Glad to help
Good point about the .2 generation. They get all the tweaks and improvements and usually sell in lower numbers. This helps your resale. Your choice on color will make it even to sell should you ever decide to.
Very true!
Any downsides? Clutch slipping? engine runs hotter?
That color looks amazing
Thank you
Glenn, great content as always; Curious is what your take on 997 steering feel vs 991.2 and 991.1, second how about non track driving do you find NA engines provide more usable vs the Turbo 3 L? as you can tell I am between 997.2, 991.1 and 991.2 ... Thank you in advance for input.
The 997.2 still has hydraulic steering so it wins no contest. I prefer turbo 911's over N/A, My 993 Turbo spoiled me. If you are looking for a manual transmission, you will have a better resale on the 997.2 since so few were produced in manual and its far superior to a first gen pdk. If you want pdk, then 991.2 all the way. 997.2 is older and out of warranty so it will cost more to maintain. Can't go wrong with either.
One of my favorites in your collection.
Same here!
Great minds think alike, purchased my manual 17 carrera in 2020 when prices dipped due to covid, has been solid reliable and so much fun with the apr stage 1 (slightly lower peak torque number to promote clutch life) and soul sport cats/x pipe. I also have the DSC pasm upgrade. Works great as my DD and only vehicle for computing, trips, and autocross. Glen how often do you do your oil changes?
Curious about the battery too as mine is factory and getting old now but has shown no signs of aging. I currently have 70k miles, started with 20k
Great buy. I will have to look into some mods. I change my oil every 12 months or 3k, whichever comes first.
I have been thinking about the battery as well. I think I am going to change it in the spring. It is original but I always keep it on a tender.
You can pull up to gas pump like a rear filled car. The fuel hose is long enough and it doesnt rub against car
We cant pump our own gas here in jersey. Most of the pumps have short hoses and dont reach
weird I am in NJ monmouth County and never had an issue@@GlennsCarCollection
Rev matching yourself is the way to do it.
It sure is! Thanks for your comment frozen car guy!
If you had to order the same car again, would you check any other options? Think the prices will continue to dip?
Sorry, just saw this. I bought it used so I had no choice in the options. I love all of them except the sunroof. I never use it
Great taste in cars I own a 991.1 manual and want sell also a
96 Nsx which will stay also a 2000 ws6 M6 all different drives enjoy your Porsche
Nice collection!
Love this video thanks. Careful though, plenty of CPOs out there with minor accidents and questionable CARFAX. Buyers need to do all their research!
Congrats Glen, keep this car
I will
The 991.2 was a bit out of my price range so i got a 991.1 C2S 😅
Great choice! Congrats!
Prices are coming down. A silver ‘17 base coupe 7-speed with only 8k miles sold on BaT this week for $77k.
add the 5% buyers fee to the $77k. Silver and Black usually sell for $5-10k less than bright colors like Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange.
Great car, awesome color.
Glad you like it!
Glenn loves blue :)
Ha ha, I sure do ! thanks for watching and subscribing Richard.
Great video
Thanks for the visit
