Mariano had a rough start as a starter in his rookie season. Still, he settled towards the end of the season and pitched an 8-inning shutout against the White Sox, which earned him a roster spot for the playoffs as a middle reliever during the 1995 playoffs. During the playoffs, he dominated as a reliever, and the Yankees decided to have him as a relief pitcher for the 96 season and the rest is history. But if Mariano does not make the 95-season playoff roster, he could've been one of the greatest starting pitchers for the Yankees.

This was actually the pregame show… for the Phillies v Mets game in London!! We missed the opening ceremony so viewers can get a tour of Yankees Stadium!

Re: Last nights Yankees-Red Sox game (7-27-24): Note to Fox: STOP with the distracting, ingame interviews!! Last night we had to endure two innings of insipid babble from Matt Damon and Casey Affleck- all while important, live play was on-going. Nothing against Damon and Affleck, but we viewers tuned in to watch an intense Red Sox-Yankees game- NOT to watch Fox plug a movie during live play that has no relevance to the game. Please conduct interviews prior to the game or after it-NOT while the game is being played!! Better yet, DON’T do them at all!
