Hi comrades, I made this Crazy Sea Monsters Size Comparison 3D video so that My 2 year old Dinosaur Size Comparison 3D viz doesn't feel so lonely 😁 th-cam.com/video/SnsHnOOAlXc/w-d-xo.html Hope you guys enjoy this viz cheers AV
The great size of the colossal squid, lion's mane jellyfish, and portuguese man o' war is actually the length of their tentacles which are very long in proportion to their body.
The most scary thing about the squids to me are their enormous eyeballs. Just imagine such a Big Eye staring at you in the deep dark depths of the ocean? 😱
Many of these are fictional. Like the Mosasaurus and the Megalodon. Sure they have lived but they where never that big. Megalodon 70 ton? Nope it was around 30-40 ton max
To clarify the Basilosaurus: despite its name and the similarity of its general body layout to mosasaurs, it wasn't a reptile, it was an early whale. Also, the Mosasaurus doesn't appear to have had a fluked tail as portrayed in the video. It's larger genus in the mosasaur group, like Tylosaurus.
At 1:08, that isn't a swordfish, it's a sailfish. Although swordfish are reasonably closely related to sailfish, they have a different bill, and their dorsal fin is more reminiscent of a shark's.
Also, the blue whale is the largest carnivore ever, not Megalodon; blue whales, like all baleen whales, eat krill, which are small crustaceans related to shrimp.
@@grimceevods5707 - I do enjoy the videos, I'm just giving some facts because it's more than just a 3D model project, it's also discussing various factual matters. I think that's pretty good, so I'm just giving some facts on the occasion something isn't quite right. If I didn't like the videos I wouldn't even be subbed.
Fantastic!!! 😀👏👏👏 You might have put a human figurine next to the Giant Squid and the Sperm Whale just to show how we size up to these two scary monsters that feature in classics like 20000 Leagues and Moby Dick. BTW, I liked the MJ figure frolicking with the orca.😁
size comparison 3d clip 3 monsters video crazy plesiosaureada liopreurodon vs tylosaurus and mosasaurus ; ichthyosaurus; plesiosaurus; whale; dolphin; shark'.
The clearly overstated dimensions of the megalodon are indicated. According to modern concepts, it did not exceed 15 meters in length. Giant squids also look disproportionately large - their length is indicated taking into account the elongated hunting tentacles, and here one body is shown as the size of a whale of the same length.
The Portugese man-o-war is portrayed far too large; the gas bag gets up 11 inches long, although it is correct that tentacles can get up to 100 feet long. I agree, however, that the man-o-war and all jellyfish are alien horrors and we should be breeding more and more sunfish to eat these Lovecraftian horrors.
@@Wibbleisnigga24-7 It's not a jellyfish, but a siphonophorae, or a communal hydrozoan, made up of smaller, specialized, zooids, or smaller component organisms.
you invented the size and weight data on your own? The most are absolutely incorrect. for example a whale shark is weighs not more than 15 tons, not 43! i recommend scientific research ;) nethertheless, cool video.
No offense this is a great video but some corrections need to be made. Here is the correction list: 1. You put a sailfish instead of a swordfish. A swordfish has a fin not a sail. 2. Kronosaurus is much bigger than 36 feet long. It is 80 feet long which is longer than the Predator X (Pliosaurus) or the Mosasaurus. 3. Predator X was 50 feet long not 43. It was 20 feet longer than Liopleurodon. 4. Leedsichthys was much smaller than 90.6 feet long. It was 60 feet long. 5. You forgot Saltwater Crocodile (extant, 23 feet long), Anomalocaris (Cambrian, Extinct, 3 feet long) and Sarcosuchus (Maastrichtian, Extinct, 40 feet long) 6. Okay. Shastasaurus was big yet it wasn't the largest marine reptile. The largest marine reptile was Kronosaurus. Very cool video though I really love it.
In fact, it may be smaller, and the male megalodon is more likely to be smaller than 15 meters. In addition, the giant squid is not that big, usually because the swelling of the carcass leads to an incorrect estimation of the length, otherwise it is difficult to imagine that the squid in the video can be stuffed into the stomach of a sperm whale
Subscribed. Awesome and well done!! What is the music for this video and the one you used for the dinosaur one? Love them very much and very well suited for this kind of video (comparison bigger and bigger video type)and kind of have an epic feel to them. Very much like to get hold of them and their name.
1:53 Liopleurodon not only existed in the Jurassic period, but also practically in all periods of the Mesozoic and Cainozoic eras. And it wasn't 7 meters long, but 25,5.
How does the X-fish (at 1:36 ) weigh only 0.45tons when it’s the same size as a great white that was 3.6tons? It’s not long or skinny or anything. Plus it has bones while shark doesn’t. I’m so confused 😐
That's not a Swordfish. It's a Sailfish. Shonisaurus lost all it's teeth as an adult and when young only had teeth near the tip of their jaws. In fact Shonisaurus probably resembled more like Shastasaurus than more advanced Ichthyosaurs later on physically and Shastasaurus had shorter, stouter jaws. Some of your candidates are really out of proportion. The Giant Squid isn't that massive nor are the Arctic Lion's Mane jellyfish and Portuguese Man O' War. There was never any Portuguese Man O' War that any where near approached a ton in weight. At the most a Man O' War colony with the largest pneumatophore, or bladder would only be about a foot long and even with the longest tentacles would only weigh at the most a little less than a pound. Length and mass are two different things.
@@theanphiban7160 That's what I just explained about there being a difference between mass and length. The Giant Squid, Arctic Lion's Mane Jellyfish and Portuguese Man O' War never came close to being that big as what was shown.
Impressive 3D Size Comparison. Very nice work. The ocean was most dangerous during the age of the dinosaurs. The Megalodon, Mosasaurus, Lipleurodon, Predator X, are my favorite Sea Monsters. But the Carnivorous whales were also terrifying.
how can it be that Xiphactinus is only 0,45 tons, while the Great White is at 3.6 tons? I mean the length and volume of their bodies don't seem to be so different
Cool video, but uhhhh, pretty sure the lion's mane and man o' war don't weigh anywhere near a ton, nor are they anywhere near that scale... Length, in the case of jellyfish, refers to the total stretched-out length of the creature (the length being mostly tentacles).
