In this video we made 3d animated Comparison of FISH Size and this is true comparison of FISH. It's not possible to include all the fish but We tried to include more than 60 fish and mammals.

Having humans around the subjects really helps in conveying the sense of scale. Something that other 'size comparison' channels should do more.

It still blows my mind that the largest animal to ever exist STILL exists today. You’d think it would be some dinosaur from a bygone era but they’re still swimming around out there.
Probably because the story of dinosaurs are not accurately or even remotely accurately tolld to us. Alot of lies are propagated regarding dinosaurs.
Actually, you'd think it would have been "fished" to extinction by now.

There are partial fossils from an ancient whale and an even more ancient ichytosaur that puts a question mark on that fact but the Blue whale might be the biggest (ichytosaurs were fish/dolphin shaped reptiles that lived a long time ago from Perm to the middle Cretacious if memory serves).

Seem pretty accurate to me. I haven’t seen anything that’s questionable other than the title. Should be aquatic animals. Not “fish”.

It's amazing how big tuna are, yet somehow we can still fit them in such a small tin can with extra space for brine or oil! Just goes to show how with economics and free markets, anything is possible!
If I remember primary school correctly, aren't dolphins and whales mammals or are some mammals also fish? I guess merfolk are half fish and half mammal but these weren't on the list🤯

Cus of over fishing we only take enough from each tuna to fill a can then the rest gets chucked back in the sea . But like shark fin soup they only fin and chuck the body back alive and cant swim they put in soup cus it has no taste and soften it up cus it gristle the shark lives for weeks in same spot ...hang on thats not funny that bit is true. 😢

Unless your walking guy varies between 6 and 9 ft tall, these comparisons are a bit off.
Not to mention walking strides that were about 40cm on average. Honestly this was a bad video.

Just a tip, generally a reference point object works best when it's something that's consistently one size. Gasshoppers, cockroaches, and mice/rats vary very much from species to species. Baseballs and soda cans are all the same size.

What a great video, the human figure really helped with scale also living in Australia & being into SCUBA diving I have seen many of those species live, that is something that pictures just can't do justice.

Submarines are not animals, let alone fish.

Piranha are not 1.96ft long. Most of them are 5" to 14". The biggest ones might get up to 20", but that is very rare.
20" is still almost 2' so I guess 1.84' long, the video isn't far off even if it is rare.

I think the one thing we can all take away from this is that guys shouldn't wear skinny jeans or sweats with tight legs/cuffs. And ocean life is insane.

Sunfish looks ancient, like it's from the era when it all started!
It does, but it is actually not as old as it looks from an evolutionary perspective, the oldest fossil found are from the Middle Eocene (40 million years ago), so both Yes and no, some of the other families of specimen seen here had allrady existed many milions of years before the first sunfish, (which can be seen in the perspective of the entire history of humans from that we where rat like creatures about 2 milion years ago, from the first ape like creatures loosly reassemble the modern man only spans ower about 250 000 Years, and the known history of the modern man about 50 000 Years, the first ever known human civilisation less than 10 000 Years... Some of those fish specimens shown here had allredy been swimmind in the oceans for more then 60 000 000 Years before any of that happened.)

Good comparison and scale. However, those were just the largest or the biggest fishes humans has ever found on their sizes. We never know what are their actual maximum size deep in their habitats.

Great video. One thing that would have been great to add is the average weight of the each fish since there were so many varieties. It would be nice to see how the weight differs from the shapes. Also, the blue whale isn't the largest none animal to have ever existed, it is the largest animal to still be in existence. There were larger animals to have existed but are now extinct.
I am curious if you purposely place inaccuracies such as whales in a fish video to increase more comments pointing out such errors. I hope not.
Scientists pretty much agree that the blue whale holds the all-time record in size, or to be more accurate: the all-time record we are aware of.
Sorry but the Blue whale is the largest known creature to have ever existed (not just the largest living)! There were some giants of the past but the Blue whale is still largr than all of them. Some creatures may have been longer from head to tail but with regards to mass the Blue whale is the biggest there has ever been.
@@DunkinBiscuits That's right. I also used to thinking that sauropods were the largest animals ever, but blue whale is even larger and heavier than any known sauropod. There are larger living things (Pando is the largest, and still living), but not animals.

While snorkeling off of the coast of Fiji I saw three things that scared the heck out of me. A Pacific Octopus, Whale Shark and Giant Manta Ray. The Whale Shark was huge but surprisingly gentle and let us pet it. The manta just seemed to glide through the water like a boss and the octopus I found out was a massive 22-footer. Is it any wonder that our biggest (and deadliest) animals are all in the ocean.

This must be MAX size per species. I'm familiar with many of those fish and not typical sizes for those species, even when fully mature.
I'd say that the larger cephalopods, various eels, wels catfish, greenland shark and sleeper shark would be interesting to add.

With the absolute vastness and scope of the ocean I still can’t imagine that blue whales are the largest animal to ever exist.
For how much we haven’t explored, ya just *know* there’s some ungodly “been-alive-since-the-Triassic” leviathan swimming around there somewhere!
That we know of for certain, YES, and that’s awesome! There are some estimates about the perucetus being even larger, but we have too little information on those so far.
I mean we kinda do know. Blue whales can be pretty easily tracked because of the dent they leave in krill populations wherever they go, something bigger than a blue whale would need a lot of food, and we would see its effect on the environment. There's also no fossil evidence for an animal bigger than a blue whale, other than possibly perucetus, which is still hotly debated. Even if it was a perucetus ancestor we would know because they lived in relatively shallow water.

You forgot the bloop. These are still amazing comparisons. What is more astonishing is that these are the average size measurements, there are freak mutations which the animals can be born to be far bigger.
I actually got the impression that the sizes listed were more in the "largest specimen yet found" category. Certainly a 21 foot Great White Shark and 98 foot Blue Whale would be on the upper end of the scale! Still, an amazing video.
