On Claim to Fame, I like how even the house has a relationship to a celebrity, having once belonged to Katy Perry, but is otherwise inconsequential. And Kevin and Frankie Jonas are great people to host the show. Watching Kevin Jonas smirk as he talks about jealousy and not knowing what he would do, my impression is that he probably doesn't actually give a rat's fart that Joe and Nick have always gotten more attention than him, but that he finds it amusing to suggest that this is a problem for him, just to troll people.
For real, those 2 JoBros are the perfect hosts. I love Kevin so much (I wish he'd sing lead on just 1 song, he's so good...) I think I'm gonna try the show.
Claim to Fame was a legit great show, I had a blast with that one. Well designed and engaging for us to guess who was related to who, as well as root for/against contestants.
I thought he was talking about Frankie when he talked about having famous siblings over shadow you. Kevin is so famous. I thought he was being serious when saying he wouldn’t know what to do because he’s never been in that situation.
@@PruneauYT I decided to look up the show and just see who they were all related to and I’m glad I did because I did not have any idea who the majority of the celebrity relatives were. As a fellow Survivor fanboy, I would watch the hell out of you competing on the island. I’ve applied (unsuccessfully, obv) a few times before. A few years ago while I was waiting tables at my dad’s restaurant I went up to greet my newest table and take their drink order and to my surprise it was Brendan and Rachel (of Big Brother and Amazing Race fame) dining with their family! They were incredibly nice and at the end of their meal I let them know that I was a big fan of theirs and we all took a picture together. 8:42 Fun fact, I actually used to work with Max Norris at the restaurant I work at and he would always say he’s Chuck Norris’ grandson and I fully didn’t believe him until seeing the work group chat post about Claim to Fame.
There was a show called Trapped on CBBC which seems like a better version of Estate of Panic. The premise is that, like in a fairy tale, kids go to an evil witch's tower and they have to complete a challenge on each layer to work their way down to the prize at the bottom, and on each layer a child is eliminated and has to stay in that room forever: turrrrappt! Maybe I'm wrong about how good it was, I watched it as a kid and my standards have probably changed, but I'm sure the production quality and adults' acting was very compelling.
I just remember being traumatised by that ladies lips when she said "you are trapped". Couldn't tell you anything else about the show even though I watched it everyday 😂
I remember catching Holey Moley on the breakroom TV at work - Ended up pretty enraptured by it. The mini golf holes are pretty wild to begin with, but the fact that they also add a bit of Wipeout-style physical competition helps keep the action and humour moving.
Today I learnt that there’s a fourth Jonas Brother. All these years and I thought there was only 3 of them. That must suck having your 3 older siblings all be in a HUGELY famous band together, doing movies and tv shows, and no one even knows you exist even though you also sing and act.

Ok does ANYONE remember the show that came out, one season, maybe 2015ish where the premise was everyone had a set time period to hide a briefcase anywhere they wanted to and then they were put into an interrogation "prison" type deal while other people tried to find the suitcase? The rules were never made super clear and I was the only person I knew that watched it
@@samu-chan that’s fair. I dont like reality tv, bc i think it’s too fake and manufactured, but this show has no reason to be fake, bc of what it’s about so if i can see the storylines and stuff it doesn’t matter cuz they’re just all vibing
"Flex their cousin or whatever" Its so funny because there is only one cousin on the show. Everyone else is like, nieces, nephews, siblings, children and grandchildren. But only one cousin. And he's still on the show. Jason Aldean's cousin, Logan. Take a wild freaking guess who the country singer's cousin is. 😂
Okay so I think about Estate of Panic on pretty much a regular basis because I watched an episode where a finalist had to army crawl through a very small tunnel system in order to get the prize and the terror of that scene is burned into my brain. My claustrophobia really said "Nah it's cool, we can stay broke"
I know this is outside of Scott's usual realm but has he ever considered review that cartoon parody of "Survivor" (and later "The Amazing Race") called "Total Drama"? It's just been renewed for a 7th and 8th season/series... I know it's a bit crass in a lot of waits especially for it being deemed "children's television" but most of the stuff is related to two of the game shows he covets, so I thought I'd bring it up.
I had a talent show as a kid and I've always had the singular talent of art so I threw my drawings into frames and showed everyone in the audience by just holding it up. I'm impressed they let me do that but I'm glad they did for all non-performance based talented people out there
One of my favorite things about Holey Moley is how they show each competitor sink what is maybe a 3-foot putt during their introduction and jumping around like they won already, while their voiceover says something like "I'm ready to win and you can't stop the PuttMaster".
One of my favorite reality competition show was the Great Escape where three teams of two are put into a jail or some sort of containment and they had to escape the place they were at, and if they get caught by guards they have to go all the way back to the beginning. It was a great time to watch with my dad.
The talent show part made me think of how in high school I was first chair Tuba, but that’s not especially cool to people. Like I could go up and play the damn Vaughan Williams Tuba Concierto (look it up it’s amazing) and probably nobody would care. But if I got a friend and did some silly comedy standup using tubas or something I’d probably do okay. Talent shows are based on what people find cool, not how impressive something is within context.
Hey Scott!!! I love your videos and I’ve been watching for years! It’s really inspiring to see someone as cool as you be able to be funny without cussing or large amounts of dark humor/ humor at someone else’s expense. You’re awesome!
I remember stumbling upon Holy Moly at my in-laws’ house. It was me and my father law watching this show where we were just so confused about the premise. Like, was it a serious show? Was it supposed to be funny? We genuinely couldn’t figured it out, but we were glued to the TV. We watched like 3 episodes back to back until we realized how much time had passed. Super entertaining lol mostly because you can just make fun of everybody and the announcers even join in on making fun of the contestants lol it’s awesome
Estate of Panic was so burned into my memory as a child. I loved it so much I literally themed my birthday around it one year. To grow up and realize that it didnt even make it one season was pretty devastating to my adult mind. It was perfecr for me because Fear Factor was too scary for me so Estate of Panic was FF Lite.
Can you imagine hiring a prostitute and being super psyched because she looks just like La Toya Jackson but then it turns out it actually IS La Toya Jackson.. except she's a cop this week and you're under arrest on TV (and lets be real, probably on meth. Its Muncie)? That would be so confusing..

@@samu-chan that’s fair. I dont like reality tv, bc i think it’s too fake and manufactured, but this show has no reason to be fake, bc of what it’s about so if i can see the storylines and stuff it doesn’t matter cuz they’re just all vibing
@@neivilde.1242 yeah I just kinda used it as background noise 😭
When I heard, “Are you related to someone famous?” I thought here comes every Scott Cramer video’s sponsor about something.
13:55 I love this line
"Flex their cousin or whatever"
Its so funny because there is only one cousin on the show.
I would LOVE for Scott to make a video about that show
OKAY BUT I AM ABSOLUTELY LOVING CLAIM TO FAME
This singlehandedly made me go to my DVR and set Holey Moley to record.
Talent shows are based on what people find cool, not how impressive something is within context.
i saw the title and clicked IMMEDIATELY lmao this kind of stuff is my jam, scott! please don't make us wait 520 days for another part!!
Claim to fame passed up a golden opportunity to name their show “relatively famous”
Hey Scott!!! I love your videos and I’ve been watching for years! It’s really inspiring to see someone as cool as you be able to be funny without cussing or large amounts of dark humor/ humor at someone else’s expense. You’re awesome!
Holey Moley had the Muppets guest host...they know exactly how weird and zany they are and I love it!
It was perfecr for me because Fear Factor was too scary for me so Estate of Panic was FF Lite.
holey moley actually looks incredible, thank you for this amazing video scott very funny
I love Holey Moley so much! I’ve watched it since Season 1 and my favorite season is Season 4, being a huge Muppet fan
I thoroughly enjoy Holey Moley. Such a fun take on putt putt. Great video!
ever since i was little ive ALWAYS wanted to compete on that one discovery kids version of survivor, anyone else remember that?
Endurance?
@@rachelnotluf4585 YES thats the one, it feels like a fever dream now
Me and my family absolutely LOVE holey moley so I’m glad you appreciate it too. The hosts are fantastic
Chuck Norris’ grandson is the total polar opposite of what Chuck is/was portrayed as
I got so scared when I saw that you were reacting to Holey Moley because I personally love that show but I really think that you encapsulated the spirit of the show and explained what makes it so good!
LaToya in training shooting a man for no reason. So basically, she understood the assignment.
You just absolutely nostalgia blasted me with Estate of Panic.
Omg the first show sounds AMAZING. Also, the hilarity of having Latoya Jackson go undercover as if nearly ANYONE wouldn't recognize her. 😂
Same with Erik Estrada. And boy did that seem to go as you'd expect for him alright
@@Dragonatrix Apparently a commenter that lives near munice says Erik still goes there to keep his qualifications up
7:37
It’s because Danny ghosted him, you can still see the pain in his eyes.
My parents introduced me to Holey Moley when I was visiting them, and now it's a family thing. Joe and Rob are fantastic.
the fact he's wearing bo merch makes my heart so happy!!
ESTATE OF PANIC! I watched that as a kid and forgot it's name and was really confused when I was told that it was fear factor. Thank you Scott, you have freed a childhood memory
honestly if this became a series id watch all of them. its so cool seeingall the weird off shoot tv shows from back in the day that i never even heard of
claim to fame was honsetly a pretty fun show - I def thought it was weird when I first put it on but I got sucked into it
Kevin was my favorite Jonas brother as a kid, and still is now. Good to know he is doing pretty well....and Frankie lol 😆 he was sooooo young on that show.
Estate of Panic was one of my top two guilty pleasure games shows to watch in the aughts, alongside Cha$e, where a bunch of people are chased around an arena by people pretending to be robots.
I used to love holey moley and watched every show until this last season. They added muppets onto the show and kinda leaned away from the mini golf and more into silliness.
I think that was mainly for the new Muppets stuff and should be gone next season
Estate of panic used to be my favorite thing to watch this unlocked a memory
Estate of Panic was one of my favorites! I think it could be reworked and brought back for at least one season.
Well Eric Estrada was Ponch on CHiPs (CA Highway Patrol)
No idea you played college football, that’s awesome!
I loved Estate of Panic it was one of my favorite shows I loved it because the host was on Crossing Jordan
I just binged all of Claim To Fame in a day and that was a blast! Couldn't be happier with the top 2 and with who won!
I unironically love holey miley so much it's just so fun
nah imagine getting pulled over and arrested by wee man i'd never get over it
I remember watching estate of panic when I was really young. I was too young and stupid to like remember what it was called and I honestly thought it was just a fever dream all this time, know it's a real show gives me a lot of clarity
Someone that went to school with Scott sitting here like “I knew it! Those cookies were too good, no way he could have made them!”
7:38 Just the WAY you said that line might have been the funniest part of this whole video.
man i just love scotts channel and his videos. they always make me smile and i love how the comments are always so involved. i definitely am interested in checking out holey moley and maybe a few of the others. also, WOW what i would do to see scott on survivor. someone with connections get on that !!!
I LOVED Estate of Panic. My mom and I uses to watch it together. It used to play back-to-back with a really cool competition game show called Cha$e. If you do another one of these, I'd love to see you covet Cha$e!
I love claim to fame I’ve been watching since it first started, quality tv!
Logan's related to Jason Aldean.
I feel like the celebrity relative identity one is really about seeing how long they can go without bragging about who they are lol
Gotta love the sweater.
Well now I'm going to have to recommend you check out Spy Games, a competition show on Bravo in 2020 which had actual retired spies/those who worked with them as judges and competitors were tasked with learning skills they might need to be a spy.
i'm from muncie and i lost it when you said armed and famous, bringing up that show and explaining how fucking insane it was was one of my go-to conversation starters in college💀
Please consider including Fboy island in your next video About competition shows. It’s so perfect. So easy to hate watch
My parents have been watching claim to fame lol. I saw Max Norris get kicked off on TV. It's so surreal to see you talk about it in a video.
