I like how he said he’ll pin you as top comment but then pins himself in order to get more comments. This is my first time watching one of his videos, but this guy seems like a scrub.
They don't give you much money for them because people rarely come into GameStop buying Wii games and accessories. GameStop has to keep all our used crap sitting in there stores for months hoping they will sell. They run a business. I don't blame them for only offering a couple bucks for controllers that no one buys anymore.
Gamestop lowballs you like crazy. If you try to trade in a nearly new Nintendo switch, they give around 150. The new super Mario Bros game goes for way more than 9 bucks
If I'm correct, the estimates for the games, console, and accessories change everyday... But I added up the price of all the items that Gamestop accepts and here's the estimates I got (based on this video). $111.20 in credit for Elite Pro Members $105.65 in credit for Pro Members $100.04 in credit for Regular (this price I'm not entirely sure of since I couldn't the entire estimate) Hope this helps!
I still have a Wii, but I really only use it for Just Dance VERY RARELY (once or twice a year maybe) when I’m very bored. The reason I never use it is because when the Wii was still relevant, I had a PS3, and now I have an Xbox One X and a regular PS4. I still get nostalgic every time I turn it on though.
Jacob R all your games and everything is $91.56 including the 0.04 cent games. Gamestop doesnt give you too much but the guitars and the drum set trade that in to your local retro video game store.
Especially for GameStop because it doesn't give the price it says online plus it probably gives u very less.Maybe it's better if u sell it on eBay or amazon.
i'm making this comment before watching the full video. your wii is extremely valuable and has so many good games and i think gamestop is going to give a single dollar for so much value. really, gamestop?
All in all, Game stop doesn't really offer you much for trade ins, regardless of how old or recent the games and systems are. What's worse is that they make a profit off your merchandise for much more than what they paid you.
Wow I can't believe they're giving like *WHOLE* dollars, let alone multiples for some. I was excepting like single digit cents for most items, maybe a whole 50 cents for a top seller
After watching this video, I thought about the money and decided to add it up! Accessories: Wii Microphone: $1.20 Wii Remote (4): $9.06 Nunchuk (4): $7.02 Wii Motion Plus (2): $10.00 Games: Wii Sports: $3.60 Animal Crossing: City Folk: $6.00 Wii Sports Resort: $3.60 Super Mario Galaxy 2: $9.60 New Super Mario Bros. Wii: $6.00 Mario Kart Wii: $18.00 Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Game's: $1.20 Console: $25.00 Total: $95.28 (Without $0.04 Game's!) (With Motion Plus!)
[GameInCanada] CanadianBeaver of course not u can use the controllers for vr on pc and use Them for playing Wii games in 4k using Dolphin emulator, people still play the nes for speedruns etc, no Nintendo console ever Will become usseles (Exept Wii u JK)
Wii is alive and well here, still play Wii sports, Carnival games and other daft little games like that, Pangya Golf and the Mario games. Wii fit still played by the family.
The real money maker for the Wii is Fire Emblem. At one point gamestop wanted to give me $60, and at their most desperate attempt to get me to trade it in they went as high as $85 for it. That was a few months ago can't say what they want now. I haven't checked.
I once tried to trade in my Xbox 360/PS3/Xbox/PS2/Wii/Wii U/DS/3DS/GBA/GameCube collection and I didnt even hit $100 at my local gamestop. I said forget it. This included the 360/Xbox/PS2/Wii/3DS systems aswell. I actually ended up selling the 360 for $70 by itself with no games.
I had a wii my whole childhood until 8 because my house burnt down. I got a new Wii last year when I was twelve because I wanted to bring back some good memories. I’m 13 now
Wii, PS2, PS3, and probably some X-Box systems (I don't play X-Box) games will not generate money in secondary markets, simply due to their is no point to buying them unless you're a collector. Almost anyone who is going to go for that retro feel will just softmod the systems to run the games off a hard drive.
I returned my broken and bad Wii and PS3 games to GameStop. Got 45€ for 10 Wii games, 5 PS3 games and 1 Wii U game. *Will NOT return anything else, ever.*
Hello Jacob!! I just sold all of my old Wii and Wii U stuff to game stop, so I could buy a new switch. I ended up getting around $430 for it all. And because I was so nice about it, they gave me a free elite pro card, and a free 1 year warrantee. I would recommend it if you calculate all your things so you have enough
91 dollars isn't tooooo bad, considering a full Wii set up with motion plus and nunchuck is 60 dollars at most places, though I really don't know what you were expecting with just dance games
I tried this myself and my total was 120 dollars, with all my games, 2 nunchucks and a controller. If I added the other controller and the console I would get 147 dollars
Log in with your GS account and you'll get an actual amount. Plus you're only doing store credit and the Elite Account, they can determine if your games are scratched so they might not even take it. Also 4 cents means they scrap the game.
When they only offer pennies it means the stuff is a hard sell right now, not even worth their effort to try and resell. Every console reaches that time when people are no longer interested in it, while it's also not yet old enough to be nostalgic either. The Wii is at that point. I do like to reap the benefits of people who stupidly trade in their games for $0.04, it means I can pick them up for like $3 each.
the wii with the remote plus actually came with a special controller with the plus functionality built in. Your extra pluses wouldn’t be worth anything
If you REALLY are going to sell your games, the smart thing is to just sell them yourself. At least that way you don't have to worry about getting ripped off by this awful game store. Seriously, 4 cents for a game trade-in, and if you even THOUGHT of wanting cash you only get a measly 2 cents!? That's ridiculously shameful!
i once traded like 50 ps2 and ps1 games like final fantasy collections mvc, megaman x games etc that are worth bank now for only 30 dollars and 2 gba games man do i regret it because now theyre classics
Gamestop is your first thought for "selling" your games? Anything else would be better. Go to a local independent game store for a little bit more trade-in or sell on Ebay to get the most out of it. I can't believe so many people run to this terrible company to get ripped off.
Considering these are Wii games I'm surprised you got anything out of them from GameStop I mean they don't even giv you at least $60 for a PS3 no it's $40, and they clean it up, and sell it for $130
I once went to GameStop to sell my Wii Fortune Street Game. He said that he'd buy it for $4. I saw used ones at the brand new price of $50. They wanted to resell it for 12.5x the price I would have sold it for. (but I didn't)
Hope you didn’t trade this stuff in, Nintendo first party games have held their value and never dropped. You can sell them for £20-30. Do not use GameStop to find out the value of your games!
Who still plays the Wii? What games?
Jacob R I started playing Super Paper Mario
Lego Batman
Me
Jacob R gkxkcisrgg iog of ppp co Dänemark
Mario
$91.56 dollars including the 4 cent games
Just learn Bro woa that's a really good deal tbh imho
I like how he said he’ll pin you as top comment but then pins himself in order to get more comments. This is my first time watching one of his videos, but this guy seems like a scrub.
IN BL00M He is.
That's why you should never sell to GameStop. You'll always get ripped off. Sell it on Ebay.
@@AT-yn9dm ikr with everything he has he could get like over $200 imo
2.40 for a remote??!?!?!!
They cost 25!
Kaxto yea but used ones cost less because they may not be in perfect condition :-)
N00b Player420 No, they sell the used ones for 25 bucks too.
30 on GameStop and 10-18 dollars on ebay and they even come with nunchucks sometimes
They don't give you much money for them because people rarely come into GameStop buying Wii games and accessories. GameStop has to keep all our used crap sitting in there stores for months hoping they will sell. They run a business. I don't blame them for only offering a couple bucks for controllers that no one buys anymore.
Kaxto
Well you can buy the newer version(build in plus) with an joystick for 20$ on ebay.
Lmao, an old Microphone for the Wii is worth more then 4 Wii games according to GameStop’s trade in system
+Ed - UltraGTDude235 yeah pretty trash
Ed - UltraGTDude235 the wii speak is now supported with riiconnect24.
Maybe it's more rare?
Gamestop lowballs you like crazy. If you try to trade in a nearly new Nintendo switch, they give around 150. The new super Mario Bros game goes for way more than 9 bucks

Jameson Ussery the instruments actually sell for a lot online but they're a pain to ship (especially the drums)
Nerd
Anthony gaming says the person that watched this video and went to the comments
Jackspy TS what

In case you're not into that old school Wii stuff... Buy a Switch!! amzn.to/2mHGmdx
Keel it! GameCube functionality, Homebrew, so much to do with it! KEEP!
Moral of the story:
DON’T EVEN BOTHER!
TheLegendkiller2100 👹☠
Especially for GameStop because it doesn't give the price it says online plus it probably gives u very less.Maybe it's better if u sell it on eBay or amazon.
The Wii Is One Of My Favourite Consoles And I Love Playing Mario Kart Wii And Smash Bros Brawl And GameCube Games On The Wii
Harrison Gaming wow are you in 2001?

You: W8 wut?!?!!!
Game stop: $2.50 if you add your car...
You: OOF😲
I have a $36 game and the value now is freaking $4
I hope you realise that he's only counting IN-store credit and elite pro member prices.
So nostalgic 😢😢
The Amount Of Money Would Be $111.20
I got like 130$ from tradeing my wii + games
i'm making this comment before watching the full video. your wii is extremely valuable and has so many good games and i think gamestop is going to give a single dollar for so much value. really, gamestop?
You'll get about tree-fiddy
+Red XIII lol
Red XIII *your total is going to be 1 cent*
+anime fan 2016 "What's tree fiddy? Three dollas and fifty cents!"
Its a reference to the episode of south park where chef tries to marry a demon
Lol
It’s called the wii BALANCE board, not wii fit board
Dont sell your wii games, save the games, save the memories;)
PS4 costing 100 dollars? What a joke GameStop.
They'll give you a Candy Bar...
All in all, Game stop doesn't really offer you much for trade ins, regardless of how old or recent the games and systems are. What's worse is that they make a profit off your merchandise for much more than what they paid you.
I have a PS4 but I wanted to play some GCN and N64 classics and I remembered I had my old Wii! I hacked it today and im enjoying it a lot
Lemme guess...GameStop...hmmm...just about 0.03 wait no... 0.04....to much...0.01..PERFECT
Wow I can't believe they're giving like *WHOLE* dollars, let alone multiples for some. I was excepting like single digit cents for most items, maybe a whole 50 cents for a top seller

Its useless in 2017.
[GameInCanada] CanadianBeaver of course not u can use the controllers for vr on pc and use Them for playing Wii games in 4k using Dolphin emulator, people still play the nes for speedruns etc, no Nintendo console ever Will become usseles (Exept Wii u JK)
Yea. but still nintendo dropped support and Theres was a bunch of shovel-ware
That doesnt mean its useless
[GameInCanada] There is lots of shovelware on PS3 too.
Keep the Nintendo Wii and all your games you never know you always might wanna play it again
the funny thing is those games will worth much more in the future as classics
Wii remote was 2 last year and now it's 5 wow!!
Wii is alive and well here, still play Wii sports, Carnival games and other daft little games like that, Pangya Golf and the Mario games. Wii fit still played by the family.
+Knuckles the Echidna awesome!
The Wii Fit Board is called the Wii Balance Board.
Edit: and the Wii Remote is called the WiiMote.
If you Haven’t heard of micro play, micro play has Wiiplay for $5.00
I love how Wii sports is worth more than Uncharted 4
91 dollars and 20 cents= $91.20
The real money maker for the Wii is Fire Emblem. At one point gamestop wanted to give me $60, and at their most desperate attempt to get me to trade it in they went as high as $85 for it. That was a few months ago can't say what they want now. I haven't checked.

Honestly, you'd get better prices on Facebook

Almost anyone who is going to go for that retro feel will just softmod the systems to run the games off a hard drive.
You didn’t even go to Game Stop. It was just 14 minutes of boring price checking on your computer.
I returned my broken and bad Wii and PS3 games to GameStop. Got 45€ for 10 Wii games, 5 PS3 games and 1 Wii U game.
*Will NOT return anything else, ever.*
You could sell your soul to gamestop and they would give you $5.00
keep up the great videos!
The Wii is a little old, but I usually still see families looking for Mario games for their's.
+BoxHead yeah Mario will never go out of style
The reason why just dance is 4¢ is because they have made alot more of them it's kinda like sports games
I still have the Wii near my Tv....so many memories
GameStop will take your Wii in for trade in for 25 dollers then sell out it for 80 lol
Hi Jacob i love your videos keep up the good work bro👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I sold my Wii with all required accessories, plus 5 games, for $40, worth it since the WiiU could all the Wii could at this time.
GameStop sells the Wii remote pre-owned for 24.99$
I still play my Wii, for all those that think it's crap, Mod this thing it will do so much more
The Wii has been completed with the PS3 and Xbox 360.
These games are worth a lot more now
91 dollars isn't tooooo bad, considering a full Wii set up with motion plus and nunchuck is 60 dollars at most places, though I really don't know what you were expecting with just dance games
How ‘bout how much will ur original xbox collection be worth
$140.00 for pro member ship
Keep in mind those prices you were citing were the TRADE-IN. The prices that they'd PAY YOU in case were about 80% of that amount.
+PhrontDoor yepp
Jacob R in my country (Canada) GameStop is called EB Games
+Johnny Rocket2050 they used to be called eb games here as well, but a while back most of them changed
Jacob R well that's good to know
Its eb games in australia
It doesn't exist in England
Johnny Rocket2050 same down here in Australia
I died when I saw the $0.04 And did you trade these in??? I hope not 😮
I tried this myself and my total was 120 dollars, with all my games, 2 nunchucks and a controller. If I added the other controller and the console I would get 147 dollars
like goal is now on 420! Blaze it
Log in with your GS account and you'll get an actual amount. Plus you're only doing store credit and the Elite Account, they can determine if your games are scratched so they might not even take it.
Also 4 cents means they scrap the game.
I Play The Wii. I Play Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Mariokart Wii & Wii Play.

the wii with the remote plus actually came with a special controller with the plus functionality built in. Your extra pluses wouldn’t be worth anything
You actually can trade in Wii motionplus. It didn't show up because you put a space.
I went to GameStop and they said they wouldn't take my mic
Trading in a Xbox One for a Wii makes more sense (no kidding).
You should have sold to disc replay because GameStop is just gonna throw away last gen stuff man
i once traded like 50 ps2 and ps1 games like final fantasy collections mvc, megaman x games etc that are worth bank now for only 30 dollars and 2 gba games man do i regret it because now theyre classics

Wow 25 bucks for sellling the wii on GameStop? Last year they offered me $80 for a wii
Considering these are Wii games I'm surprised you got anything out of them from GameStop I mean they don't even giv you at least $60 for a PS3 no it's $40, and they clean it up, and sell it for $130
You can try this other place called CEX, you could probably sell the guitar and drums there
He said throw away the game rather than take four cents for it
They take $35.00 for the wii and they sell it for 60-100 dollars
I once went to GameStop to sell my Wii Fortune Street Game. He said that he'd buy it for $4. I saw used ones at the brand new price of $50. They wanted to resell it for 12.5x the price I would have sold it for. (but I didn't)
Justin
I have seen that game goes for 90$ used on tradera(swedish ebay)
Anyone still have 30 great games? I was always the grandpa😂
Hope you didn’t trade this stuff in, Nintendo first party games have held their value and never dropped. You can sell them for £20-30.
Do not use GameStop to find out the value of your games!
Great video I enjoyed it
The reason why they dont take your plus. Is due of the newer motion controller, since the new controller has an build in plus.
This was my first console
"Yeah we can give you $2 max"
They will give you 1 cent.
In total it would be $91.56. Not to bad...
Anyone would have to be absolutely stupid to trade at that crap shop. They're scumbags, I'd rather give them away to the less fortunate.
All of this Mario games are like 10 dollars but I bought them for like 30 dollars
Wii is my favorite console. I play on it a lot.
I still play all the Wii games I have. I can’t name em all cus it’s a lot !
they'll hardly pay u a thing but they will sell some of your games for 40-50 bucks
Take all of it to Vintage Stock if you have one, they will probably pay more for it
Crazy how you can get $35 for a 10 year old console and only $80 for a Xbox one
Awesome video
Gamestop will give you 25 $ for all of it. Roglmao
