- Let's Sanitise was founded during the pandemic to keep sales going. It has expanded into a handwash and hand lotion range. Co-founders, Josh Cummins and Lee Hoppen are looking for an £80,000 investment in exchange for 5% of their company.

Sometimes she’s sharp and other times she has such an ego it’s super annoying. Her expressions and entire demeanor is so unlikable really.
To be fair she didn't listen to them well. Dude actually mentioned that the prices were Retail prices. It was up to her to ask what was the price to distributors and wholesalers. Don't think they were hiding anything.
These dragons asking them if they are 100% committed or not because they have other businesses, but meanwhile they all all have an insane amount of businesses and "they will add so much value to the business", someone should ask them how they will have time for them. lol
Outsourcing is the answer and VA's from Mexico.
The investors (dragons) are the ones opening doors and giving contacts to the enteepreneurs to drive further a business whereas the entrepreneurs basically lead the business. So it‘s reasonable that the entrepreneurs must be 100% focused in their business so that the company obv will flourish and will make a return. 👌
Entrepreneurs and investors are two different things my guy.
They have a team that does the work so they can continue to do their job of investing so they can pay their team that does the work so they can earn even more money.
There are hundreds thousands of specialty hand sanitizers. How in the world are they going to get market share to the behemoths that are billion-dollar companies

@@Jerharris90 No they said their sales were £1m and said they had a pre-tax profit around 300K. However the accounts reflect nothing like that.

It really bugs me when the dragons get upset that some entrepreneurs have other successful businesses! That would be like the entrepreneur saying ok dragon...you can have 30% of my business but you need to give me 30% of your time!

Peter's comments at the start were very odd. He has a bunch of businesses but I bet he'd be very annoyed if someone questioned his commitment to any one of them

I don't think investing in pandemic specific products are a good idea. I don't think I've used hand sanitizer once in 2023.

I’ve used it since 00s. Nice for when you’re out and about and get back to the car. So I still use it but I always did.
I wouldn’t invest in hand sanitizer though.

when a company or entrepreneurs seeks investments for share or % of business, they share their balance-sheet prior. If, they are pre-revenue then, they are scrutinized on future turnover or profits etc. Debra was just acting smart knowing 100% that no business owners has exact numbers especially who are very diversified. Here you have established businessmen that's why dragons are reluctant in doing business... I guess the entrepreneurs WON here, I'm sure they have jobs for peter and touka already lined up for that 25% share...

No, the dragons primarily invest and are not involved in the daily operations, the CEOs or Founders are. These people have to be there daily to turn this start-up into a success genius.
Except they are pitching to the dragons, not the other way around.
Imagine selling 25% for 80k on a 300k profit business. The greed is unreal from the dragons. Hope these guys said no.
They obviously weren't there for the money so the clearly wanted some dragons.
Because that isn't sustainable profit level and could plummet at any point
Because the Dragon's investment, coupled with their expertise and partnership, should increase the company's profit a lot more than 25%.
Therefore, the business founders haven't lost anything.
