She's brilliant! She answers all questions and she doesn't get defensive when her product is being criticized. Company is still trading, and I've seen people using the grips on crutches. Well done, Emily!
The dragons were way too harsh on this one. One reason why I don’t like these old videos - she’s 20 and way more ambitious and taking way more risk than 99% of 20 year olds. She’s designed a product, has ideas for its applications, all she needed was some mentorship
I'm glad the last two went easier on her and encouraged her. She's just entered the den too young and too inexperienced in business to truly be at a level they'd trust, but absolutely no 20 year olds would be! She's alot farther along than most companies ever get and she should be proud of her efforts! Definitely asked for too much money though 😂
Do you think she is shaved?
@@Mogamishu are you ok?
"alot" isn't a word any more than "aword" is.
it's dragon's den mate not the grammar garden@@BenjaminGoose
They’ve invested in younger entrepreneurs before.
Still running to this day. She owns only 60% of the business with 2 other shareholders each having 20%. They have 110k in shareholders funds, but apart from that barely any tangible assets.
Maybe even things like shovels and brooms could benefit from this too.
She is brilliant! I would of invested in HER alone! good luck to her. She has become very successful :)
Yes she is, she probably knows the difference between « would of » and « would have »
@@ubs16unnecessarily rude
it was a good investment for 2 dragons to split 50% low risk with good push for a great product
How so? The time and effort it would take to advertise this product to such a small market doesn't seem worth it. Not every good idea is worth turning into a business or worth putting money into.
Ex rower here / if you can crack the problem you’ll win. We spent loads on zinc tape and stuff to stop blisters. One time I wore a golf glove and that worked a treat - great grip in the wet too
No financials posted, but it seems the company is still in business
Wow what a shame. Gosh she is a sweetie and I wish her the best. I think she has a great innovative idea, I just think she got a bit lost in the numbers. She’s young, so it makes sense. She’ll figure it out and be a great success
Amazing!
I need this, but for motorbikes. I don’t want to wear gloves and I don’t like callouses
From lunch time to dinner time 🤝🏽🍽️
Such a shame! I would have invested in her! That product could have gone far and wide used on a number of things bikes, rowing paddles etc, missed opportunity I think
Hello from across the pond
Mountain bike grips? I toast her bravery at such a young age
What a beautiful smile ..
Well they missed the USA market didnt they . . She said Its paitented there so should of gone there ,the college rowing system is massive and could of been interested . .
Good luck to her 💐💐👍🇳🇿🇳🇿
I'm thinking to myself if she's on Shark Tank somebody is taking a punt on her for lots of equity
"should of"?
Should have
Can’t wait to find out who is unusually quiet in the den
Pizza Jones
She's very smart young person and I respect what she's did and done think she is going to doing some else in future and she will be a millionaire with no questions
Shes still in business
I'll give you a massive market idea. Single men to stop the blisters LOL 🤣🤣🤣
Just use some lotion bro
Jenny would be proud of the way they're recycling these clips.
From the look of it, the Dragons made the right choice. The company's still active but not making any money (net worth of -2K).
Another re upload lmao, 6th of Feb 2021 last time you uploaded this...

@@jackking9271 Brown Noser you lad!
5 DRAGONS who got it WRONG!!!!!...should have invested...
I think the name Awesome Potential is pretty bad, it doesn't tell you what it is and potential doesn't guarantee anything good it's just potential. And having Awesome in your name is a bit much.
Oarsome, its a play on words
@jptiger773 Oooh lol I get it more
@@raw_riot_6917I agree. The oarsome part is great, but nobody wants to pay for potential. Terrible name for a product.
@@LunchMeatTrump Yeah "potential" like why, cut it lol
@@raw_riot_6917 After coming back to this I actually feel the entire name sucks. Oarsome only fits for the rowing aspect, but if they want it to be a grip for multiple purposes, it then becomes confusing for advertising. It always seems like simple catchy names are what sells. Something like the "mighty grip" or "power grip" or "super grip" anything along those lines would likely sell way more.
Hmm just because shes young it doesn’t mean they should be easy on her! Its business at the end of the day! She should have done her homework!
We all need to fail to succeed, so failure is good, because it makes you mentally stronger!
Yes, there can be no success! Only failure! And we should ignore how 99.9% of young people these days cant do what she can do.
Eyy
Easy Peter......Eeeassy...😮
Who? That is Pizza Jones. Don't you listen to he narrator?
Dragons den made money and put a lift
I would of just gave her the money
The gummies that were a gimmick on the den. Money grabbers. I lost €200 on them because they don’t work. I’d never buy anything that they recommend. Pure dirt those
I think she was bloody amazing compared to the carp we have seen, and they are sympathetic to them. Emily congratulations

Jesus, this pitch is older than time itself
Pretty sure thats cheating and against the rules! LOL
Wow so many creeps in the comments 🤮
I wouldn’t mind looking at her balance sheet :).
I would not mind looking at her underwear.
weird
Duncan knows nothing about rowing! Or if it is expensive
Emily invented a great product and she's very easy on the eye.
Started off complimentary, ended up sounding like a creepy uncle 💀

Crazy bad investors, they could sell the invention to all other companies ,bikes ,athletes, others ...
Thay are offel.
This was several years ago, and whilst the website is very modern. the business side of things is dead. IE, its alive but dormant and hasnt done anything in 9 years
Googled for the product, it’s widely available for £25 through loads of water sports retailers. Companies house listing shows accounts have been filed every year, most recent ones in 2022, the companies making a small 25 to 30k profit most years. Looks like a niche sideline business to me, she’s probably got a main job now and does this for a few extra quid
@@mrhandsneigh yeah... its constantly dormant. Showing no money ever. Thats not a good sign
@@Mathewmartialart You are looking at the wrong company... She now owns 60% of the company and there are 2 other shareholders with each 20%. They have 110k in shareholders funds but barely any tangible assets.
Several? This occurred in the late 00s. It's been more than a decade.
@@TheManInBlueFlames nope, the business was created i believe 2014. Which was several years ago
I hate the young version of Peter Jones
