When I am at the races, I might watch one round from the grandstands but the rest of the time I will spend in the pets watching the car get prepped for the next round.

I think I've told you I started working in my uncle's shop when I was 12.
Years before, my uncle had been a flat head guru & was the mechanic on the local ¼ mile dirt track hero's race car for years.
I remember hearing them talk about racing when I was little. Being a normal boy, an explosion & pyro-maniac, my ears always perked up when they talked about blowing up motors.
Boy, was I disappointed when I got older & experienced my 1st blowed up engine.
I have wondered, at times, through out my life the origination of the phrase, 'blowing up an engine.'
    At 70, I finally know.
Thanks, Clay... never too old to learn something new.

Definetly enjoyed The Jimbo Show! His expert perspective wraps up and makes the whole event less chaotic. Not that The Clay Show is CHAOTIC per se, but when sitting down with Jimbo it all makes more sense. Hope it stays ... even if the look alike are standing in! Lol!

Clay, i love your content i was not able to talk to you at Indy. I was hanging out with my buddies at Zizzo's camp. I brought my 11 yr old son over to your pit, and he talked to Jim O, who talked about the computer system and how the car is tuned. He loved the in depth and someone talking to him like he was an adult. Thank you both for being the kind of people you are. And stomp on that loud pedal!

We are so darned lucky to have a debrief at all! To my knowledge, no one else makes the time to do this. I'm torn, I like the old way for the data a bit more though. This way is fine but the overall unwinding after the run with everyone talking (the old way), is my vote. You guys and girls had a great weekend in the end! Cheers Clay.

Jimmy Dale is a hoot that's fer shur! Did the temp drop there like it did here with the eclipse? Dropped a couple degrees. Took longer for it to warm back up than what it did to cool down. Almost seemed like it helped that cool front push a lil farther south too! 🤷 Anywhos. The breakdown after the run is pretty cool to hear about whatever the case may be. Like Clay says, "That's drag racing!". Donna just trying to keep you boys fed. 😁. 🤔 Is there any kind of lightweight material that could be put behind the driver to help deaden the shock wave from mishaps like that. 🤷. Brucey go back to his mainland? TY for sharing! Isn't that the hi way that was dedicated to Chris Kyle behind the suites? Remember seeing a sign going down that hi way when I was down that way for some races. 🤷

I have followed the top fuel racing since I was 5 or 6 years old. My dad staged the cars at Amarillo drag strip in the sixties. I have learned so much since I subscribed to your channel listening to you and your team. Yes, from me on the format with Jim O. 👍

I know what going over 100 mph with 750hp under the hood across a desert is like, but I cannot fathom 11, 12, 13,000 hp pushing me along. Thanks for taking us on this ride with you Clay.
