Glad to see it wasn’t anything major! I’m really liking those Birds Eye clips of the guys working on the engine it’s amazing what those guys do in such little time 💪
Honestly Clay you took a sport that not a lot of people were interested in cause of the lack of info etc but the fact that you're showing and motivating others and helping the sport it self it's definitely a winning for you and your team
10000% agree with this
@@nitrochaney1026Being officially ancient, I came up in a time you did n't tell people you were a drag racer.
Girlfriend's fathers didn't think much of you, neighbors hated you 'cause you had a shop at your house, police has your name on Speed Dial 'cause of test sessions on old country roads; the only people who were ever glad to see you were your machine shop & your speed shop & they took all your money. But, what a blast!
I disagree with that. If any racing has lack of info it’s F1
@@nitrochaney1026 You must have
govt paper work declaring you officially ancient, too, then.
I think drag racers were universally scorned back then.
It's probably the "cockpit prayer" that did it but you have a radiant glow about you in this video, Clay ! .. man... watching these videos w/ all the angles we're seeing ... it's a blessing/honor/#joyousoccasionindeed!
I really appreciate you explaining everything. It makes it so much more enjoyable. There is not another channel like yours. Thank you CLAY
Just lettin' you know I'm still praying for your team, for you of course, & Rick Ware Racing! I'm honored to do so. I believe it was about a year and a half ago that I, without asking, joined your team to pray for y'all. I hope others are inspired to do th0e same. Loved the overhead of the crew at high speed. That was good footage. Like the new format, the music - guitar riff is full of energy & well expressed sass about moving out & getting loud!
So loving the in car shots.. Omg the G-Force looks ridiculous.. So so good though.. Good luck this season Legend and hope you get a few W's cos you sure deserve them..
I'm saying it Clay is the best ambassador for the sport of top fuel getting hyped and stomping the loud pedal to heaven and back
Good luck today Clay!!! I've got you winning in drag racing bracket bonanza this weekend!!!
I just left last night and I wanted to meet you but I couldn't find you in the pits. Good racing. Good luck today
It's honestly insane the difference between how that motor runs on unleaded gas and how it runs on nitro. It's like 2 completely different motors.
Came because of cleeters channel. Stayed because of yours.
Love the videos
Dang the luck! I have noticed something I'm sure other have also. No sit down videos with Jim-O between rounds this year. Is Nicky scared to death of a camera? I wouldn't know the man if I was face to face with him. Anyway, I've seen you come from these bad luck situations and win a race. With that said, I'm gonna say a big prayer for y'all as soon as I hit the enter button. Get out there and stomp on that loud pedal 4 rounds today.
Clay has taken NHRA to a new level for the TH-cam community.
He really has.
Is doing just what Cleet did for drag racing.
Love the prayer at the starting line. God Bless you and your family Clay. Keep stomping that loud pedal!!!
I find it weird
@@an04ker What's weird about it?
That's just another inside to what goes on in stanging lanes before a run. Thanks for the video Clay.
In Jesus name, Amen!
My dad use to take me to see these drag cars once a year when I was a kid. When he died I stopped watching until you was on cleats channel you brought me back to the sport. You're a awesome driver and a awesome human. keep doing your thing man!!.
The overhead camera footage is awesome, it really gives you a good idea of the teamwork that has to go into the thrash of rebuilding the engine after each run.
It was great meeting you yesterday. Thank you for the picture with my wife and I! Best wishes Clay, go get em!
You are "VERIFYING YOUR CLUTCH POSITION" when you have your mirror out, I think you said that in one of your earlier videos.
Thanks for being the NHRA Ambassador for your sport Sir Clay 🏁🏁🏁🏁
Yes,he is. Just verifying that he's in neutral with the clutch, while it's running.
Clay you are a terrific human being my man.......
Thanks for chatting & taking a photo with me. I had not been to an NHRA race in many years and I came out just to see you after seeing so many of your videos. it was a great day and the power and concussion that we felt in the stands as you went by was absolutely thrilling. Good luck today!! Oh - I am the guy that was thanking you for treating that 17-year-old kid so good and riding down down the track with him in his pick up truck a few weeks back in his quarter mile run. You’re a standup guy Clay.
he’s gone as far as to sign my dads harley davidson rain jacket after a rain delay in charlotte
Always enjoy your videos. Thanks.
Sounded more crispy in the tone ,maybe a lean condition, or plugged fuel lines or restrictions in line’s, probably check them, good job team Rick Ware racing, clay Millican nation,,,❤thanks BigAl California .
cool to see the guy lean in the car and offer a prayer. unfortunately that type of thing has faded out in the outside world, but awesome to see there are still people in nhra that do it for the drivers even after the opening ceremony one
The lower case r made me lol.. good ole Lyle😁..
i can't remember what you are looking at, i think you did mention it to 1320 but i remembered that instead of remembering what it is you are checking old school. :-)
You show the Best part of top fuel racing
Gotta say
Thanks-
Man you guys cannot buy a break on that engine, seems like everything you guys do something ends up going wrong. Just glad she didn't go up in flames. It's going to turn around you guys are going to start going around and around with no work and you're going to start winning. LETS GO !!
Your posts are unrivaled, Clay!
Thanks!
Eric, you're the greatest.I really appreciate you what you go through and what you explain to Us dummies out here Look forward to the next video.Thank you much
Videos just keep getting better and better. How about a win for RWR!!. GO CLAY!!🤞🤞🏆
Let's go clay bring the win home today🏆🏆🏁🏁 CLAYS #1
I can answer the question, when he looks in the mirror, he is looking to see if the wheels are spinning. I think its because if he push the clutch alle the way in, the wheels will spinn, he need to find the sweet spot where they dont spinn.
Great job clay I hope you guys finally figure out what's going on with your engine program 😊 Hope you did well on Sunday in the Rest of the racing😊
Great update , nice camera angles ( overhead). Race cars and odd things go together ! Good luck today ! Many thanks Clay.
Thank you Clay for explaining the burst panels. I asked that question months ago and now we know. Hoping you and team are turning on win lights today. Take Care :)
Good video Clay.
In the words of Turbo John,
“Go fast and get some win lights!”
Your looking for the clutch stop right
I’m watching this and it occurred to me that Clay is like an Amato kind of figure, we didn’t have behind the scenes film with Joe but they strike me as having a similar way about them.
Love the Prayer at the line🙏🏻WITHOUT GOD WE DON'T EXIST and racing wouldn't be possible 🙏🏻🙏🏻💞🤗💞🙏🏻 LOVE that your whole team ARE BELIEVER'S IN CHRIST 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
95,100 subs,, 100,000 is on the horizon! Go Clay Millican and the PartsPlus TF TEAM!!
Great video explaining things with the car. LOVE IT
Thanks for taking us along Clay.
Best Wishes to everyone.
Your extended mirror is for checking clutch disengagement. You don't use a clutch stop. You've explained that many times. I dig it. Its an OG move others don't do as much.
Good luck for the next round 👍👍 l must agree with the comments that I have seen below. Stamp on that loud pedal and be safe. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧
I once had one tiny whiff of that nitro smoke, and it almost choked me. I can't imagine it every weekend, as these guys get it.
Those onboard shots are probably the coolest thing ever.
Great video,Clay. Thanks for taking us subscriber's along for the ride. Your crew is always working to be on top of everything with the motor to all of the dragster. Soon you-all will be in the winners circle, team dedication will prevail. As always Stomp on that loud pedal. ✌️👍🤙🤙😎😁🍀🍀🍀🍀🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Good luck, Clay
Stomp Safe
What happened to the Crew Chief lounge? Honestly probably my favorite part of the video’s. Stomp on that Loud Pedal!!! 🤟
True America power and prayers. I love this sport. God bless and good luck!
Team Clay Millican,#1
Love your videos mate ….God bless you and Parts Plus racing team from Brisbane Australia
Hi Clay. Hey i saw somithing. I wish you would give a close look at. Whrn you showed us the ring that holds in the plug on the fuel barrel i think the clip was in backwards. The sharp or burr side needs to be out. Looked to me like the rounded edge was out. This can cause the snap-ring to come loose. !!! Please double check !!! And stay safe have a great day. Andy
3:35 Clay, what are you looking at with that mirror?
3:40 nevermind :) LOL
Clay and crew, y'all rock! Good luck today. ❤Peace ✌️
Clay, was wondering if you've heard anything out there about how Kaylynn is doing?
Best of luck for today’s races. One at a time.
I think you are looking at the gases from the fuel and gauging the color to see the mix?
Thanks for the videos.
Great looking team, keeps the pedal ready to be stomped ! A1❤❤ Keep diggin!
Love these vids. Great insight on how much goes into running these cars. ❤ from 🇦🇺
Got to see Clay on Saturday. Good luck on Sunday!
Usually when problems in a general system on a car is repeated it boils down to some kind of change in the program. Could be a personnel change, could be a bad batch of a particular part. Could be changed vender, Could be having to change a brand / style of part due to availability or normal parts. this is surly one of those cases with consistent failures on the top side of that motor. track when the failures started and see what was changed I guarantee you find an answer.
I had an issue way when with the plating on some metal. after investigation they found one of the rinse tanks per plating was contaminated and leaving something under the plate that had caused flaking over short time spans.
I love that you work the clutch like a boss! We all know your looking at the rubbers to make sure you're in N! It's a little too rough in there to feel i guess....
Absolutely loving this! Cannot get enough. I must go visit the Aussie guys doing this locally!
Great to get the inside scoop of that fuel mist run. Love the thrash overhead 👍👍👍
Hope JimBo lets us back in the hauler. I really enjoyed that part
So cool to meet you yesterday Clay........FIRE ME UP!. Stomp on that loud pedal. Good luck. Hope you take home the win.
Clay I'll bet that snap ring on the barrel valve will at least will get a visual for a while. As always thanks for taking us along!
My question is show us the handle that you use to put the car in reverse if I'm correct it's on your lower left side of the car
I know Cali Nate wasn’t a track racer but, he made such a big impact on small tire no prep racing! He was the guy to beat at every race! RIP. Brother!
Wish you could mention him in one of your videos! He loved racing just like you and died doing it!
Love it -love it - love it! Only thing missing is the smell! Love it!
let's get that championship
I really like how competitive you are without being disrespectful…and that you are sporting that blue oval!
Nothing blue about that car.
Clay.
Stomp that freakin' loud pedal maaan!
Good luck in the race , you got this
Good luck race day! 👍
Wow clay this cloud above yinz wont leave!!!! I hope your luck changes cause yinz deserve it so bad!! Im praying for yinz guys & clay we ❤ love yinz know matter what the beast does!!!! ❤❤❤❤ Pittsburgh pa!!!
Always wondered what Jess is doing on the right side of the engine during the warm up. Know he's got a procedure he goes through while watching the dash but don't know what he does. Maybe locking down the magnetos? Just a guess. If you could go over what he does in the upcoming Q&A, that would be awesome. Hopefully we'll get a cameo of Iggy & Milli too! Cheers!
Good question. I've wondered if he's turning on the computer when he reaches down inside the fairing.
Thanks! God bless you All, Cheers!
3:41 hint, it has to do with the tires.
Bit old school he is with that mirror. Oh it looks like it got bigger over the years 😂
Haha.. that was a good one 😂
420th like. Niiice.
Almost 100k subs Clay!
THAT OVERHEAD TIME LAPSE of the crew turning the car around was awesome. As a mechanic, I personally loved it. And would love to see more in the future.
THANK YOU FOR THE OVER HEAD CAM. LOVE TO WATCH THEM SPIN WRENCHES. ALSO LOVE IT WHEN YOU EXPLAIN TO WHAT HAPPENED WHEN IT DOES GO SOUTH.. CLAY, STOMP ON THAT LOUD PEDAL TODAY. GET UP ON THE WHEEL AND CUT THAT THREE DOWN.. 00 LIGHTS ALL DAY AND 4 W's . Good luck stay safe😊
Anyone know what size rear wheel studs are on a top fuel dragster
The Axel's actually key into the rims. All the forces go through that way. The studs just hold the wheels onto the Axel. I'll bet they are pretty substantial still thou.
I met Clay when he was in the IHRA at the now defunked Motor city nationals at Milan dragway in Michigan he was piloting Warner enterprise top fuel car promoting the Dukes of Hazzard Movie saw him do a blow over in that race been a huge fan ever since
Look watching Yall from Fulton Mississippi love drag racing all my life
Thanks Clay, fun getting the pov. I see what you see but my hind end is stationary 😢, thanks for sharing 😊
Hell yeah BROTHER!!! Send it!!
Good luck Clay M. 💪💪💯💯🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
You’re the man clay! Thank you for bringing us along. Crazy idea but imagine a 3 lane track on an abandon air force base, would be so cool to see these things in Maine
Charlotte NC has four lanes, if you've never seen it it's pretty cool but if you get to go in person its the sounds that really gets ya
Yesterday overhere in Australia Top Fuel record broken yesterday in my home town
3.73
;)
Your the Runner, all you can do is send it, Which you Do Extremely Well !! It's really not the Team They are Awsome. It's all the Mechanical Components. The Stars Must Alien, Everything Must Click in Order to Achieve Your Goal. You Will, I Know, Just Keep STOMP'N!! God Bless you All, Stay Safe see you on the next RUN!
I only watch NHRA CAUSE OF CLAY. He connect's with other people like the fans crew everyone and that's the only reason I watch clay
For the next Q&A:
Just noticed the pair of 0.50" (?) × 10" rods on either side of the roll cage at the top of your head.
Everything on a race car at your level has a purpose or it wouldn't be there.
What's their purpose in life?
Re: New Things
They keep life interesting...
Hope your given it to old buddy Antron at about the time I writing this 900 miles to the north.
Good luck today, stay safe.
GeoD
Awsome job clay....like the motor cam ...guys a amazing
Thanks for sharing. I wonder if vibration could have caused that problem with the barrel valve?😳🤷♂️
hi, after watching your last4? races I have to wonder if your "bad luck" is not really "bad luck" but "presents" given to you by current or former employees/ suppliers?? That "nobody know what to" do is wearing thin.
I noticed something really cool in your last couple vids. When they shut the car off, they unhook the fuel line and scramble to unscrew the fitting. I noticed recently the blue pull cord wrapped around the nut to spin the nut off the fitting like a pull cord. If I am correct, that is a pretty clever idea. I'm a little jealous I didn't think of it! LOL
It’s actually just a strip of tape he’s pulling.
Thanks for the comment -- now I know the purpose of the blue cord.
@@claymillican25 I kind of thought thats what it was. it looks like 200 mph tape. Same color! That was a good idea!
if i remember correctly they pull the line bc they don't want any fuel sitting in the cylinders
That is pretty slick. Racers are always thinking up clever ways to do things!
Good luck against AB, sort of like Deja Vu Clay. Was out there Sat, and will be there today, I'm dragging a bit after the long day yesterday. Packed like sardines in the stands...
I wouldn't ta thunk top fuel dragsters have idjit lights.
Blinker fluid warning? 😉
