Watching this through tears for you Clay. Only wish my dad (who was a huge fan of years for years) was around to see this. Sleeping on & off all night - sensing something special was going to happen. So knew the result but absolutely respected waiting for this special video. I have been a fan of yours for 20 years. I worked for Werner enterprises and watched you win a lot of races. None of them compare to this, our house jumped and cheered, when you won that race.

I have to say thank you for your channel. I’ve always loved Top Fuel, but thru watching you, you have given me a new perspective on how difficult it is to win.
So many things have to go perfect. Qualifying. 4 rounds on race day. The effort and consistency required are mind-boggling.
The track, the weather, the other cars and their drivers. Cutting a light. Keeping the car going down the track. Not smoking the tires. Not dropping a cylinder. Sometimes a bit of luck.
It’s mind-boggling how difficult it is. And that makes it even more fantastic when you win.
Good luck in the next race, and throughout the countdown. I, and many others, are in your corner for the countdown. Let’s go!

Clay I got to meet you at the Menards Nationals in Topeka last year. I had already been a huge fan of yours, so I wanted to meet you. You were helping your team set up food and drinks. Only one other time in my life have I had the reaction to a race win that I had on Monday, and that was when Dale Jarrett won the Daytona 500 for Joe Gibbs Racing back in '93. I was yelling, screaming, jumping up and down! It was a good thing no one else was in the house, or I would have scared the crap out of them! I did see the first 2 rounds from the stands and knew you had this one. I had to leave due to some bad sunburn connected to a medication. I got home turned it on and saw you win.
