Did the SUV break out? I see a new challenge for drag racing, tow car bracket racing. Also see the first for and a half minutes of the vid Niki Lauda Explains Formula One (1985)
Good job Clay. That second round was ALL you. Cutting lights like a bracket racer and GOING ROUNDS. Top 5 here it comes. Congrats to you Jim O and the team
I love the way your crew chief takes ownership for his part of the job and discusses with your fans the things that go wrong and gives total respect and support for the team.
You was show driving that b*tch.. It was a odd crazy weekend but like Jim O said you cant say it was a "Bad" one.. Thankful for all the people in your pit..💙💙💙
Clay... As a superstitious fellow, I can't help but notice almost everyone on the team has a certain routine they go through as you roll up to the line and get staged. All the way up to JimO's double bump before you stomp on the loud pedal. Let's see a video that walks us through everybody's pre race routine!
The routines are partly so that nothing is forgotten and having the same routines means that you get better stability in the runs. And that you get a better team mentally..
Jim has a great way of putting things into perspective. The team is fortunate to have such a good dude at the helm and they show their appreciation in their attitudes and work ethic.
Love the video’s, it puts a different perspective on things. It allows fans to see the trials and tribulations of running one of these cars. I’m not aware of another professional racer/team that invites their fans into their world weekly. Thanks Clay and team, we the fans appreciate it!
Gotta love the genuine emotions everyone on the team has for one another. Rick is an amazing human being and understands the sport is costly but those big wins are TOTALLY worth it. You guys have great sponsors and albeit the championship seems outta reach, a couple more Wallys are certainly within reach! All the best wishes and keep at it, Clay!
Way to go, team! Like Rick said, next year is going to be promising! Thank you Rick for bankrolling this team - we are all behind you all! Nice job on the tree and driving this week, Clay!
JimO has such a big heart, misses his friends that are lost, worries about Clay! And he and Clay would still race without each other, but it would not be as fun! ❤you guys!
One of the best videos yet Clay and I was worried about the car when it came down hard like it did, and I was wondering if you guys were going to have to put a front half on it. I miss the between runs debriefing with Jim a little bit, but I do like this format now. Would be interesting if Jim would let you throw in a little bit of the debriefing also. Will you be able to show us any of the work in the shop going on over the next couple of weeks before Vegas? That would be awesome to see. Y’all did great at Texas, go knock em out in Vegas! And this is added as an edit, you sure have all the hot ladies around you at these races Clay! 😊
The sit down with Jim-O.. he mentioned the business of keeping his driver safe, and follows it up with what a bad day of racing really is. That is an emotional moment for us fans.. because he's right. And then, to revere Eddie Hill and the Nuclear Banana *Super Shops* car like you both did, it brought me back to a place as a young 23 year old FAN of the sport and a kid from Seguin Texas, that moved to Fremont California and would sneak in to Fremont Raceway just to watch Top Fuel, I absolutely melted with memories. Mr. Hill was such an inspiration, holding the 1/4 mile land AND Water speed record at the same time, something that I don't think anyone has ever done since.
My goodness. Emily’s niece is so big. I remember when she was just a little girl handing her aunt tools and watching her work on cars. They sure do grow up fast.
Thank you Clay we’re really enjoying your round by round reap with Jim O.. It’s easy to understand your pride and affection for your TEAM, what a great group of people you have brought together and nurtured. Credit also to Rick it is so good to see an owner enjoying you guys turning his money into scrap metal. 2023 has been amazing,, 2024 will be AWESOME.
I really like the sit downs and going over the races.. and Jimbo is one awesome guy,you can just tell love he has for the team..great job this past weekend Clay.
The car is bent now, get the new chassis out and get all new parts on it,,, that last run was almost a Eddie hill run that’s it see ya soon I hope thanks BigAl California
Fantastic footage of an exciting weekends racing. What a great team, win together, loose together but mostly have fun together and always 'Keeping the Faith' So love the chatting this way with Jim O. Thanks again Clay and Team. Big love form the UK
Whoo Hoo I made the Video... Its always good to see you Clay. Such A thrilling experience to feel and watch. The Crew rocking it. Hope for that perfect Texas air Next year. Good Luck in Vegas!!!!
I love these debriefs you have added. It is fun to hear Jim's historical reminiscences about places and people, too. You can tell he LOVES this every bit as much as you do. It's awesome!
What a weekend!! Clay, Jim-o, the whole Parts Plus team … y’all are one of history’s best / most inspirational teams in all of team sports! Love what you do guys … See y’all in Gainesville 2024!!
One thing that turned out well for you. Your team will make it to the 2023 highlights video. Plus winning 3 Wally's so far and the love your team has for each other. It's really great. Now the next challenge. Putting a car back together. It will be your next big memories
Please tell JimO that the new format regarding the run breakdowns is so much appreciated. It’s awesome to see how you guys come together as a team and overcome adversity. My son and I have some great memories together watching you guys race. We saw you pedal to a round and we got to see you hoist up a Wally.
Thank Clay for posting another awesome video !. It really was a crazy weekend with tons of happenings. I really love to listen to Jim-O 's talk with you !. Keep it coming 😄👍
Love the Jim O talks afterwards. It helps the average joe better understand what it takes (emotions included) to run one of these hot rods. You guys are the real deal!
Man what an awesome captivating hangout !!! Wow what a weekend we had !!! Big THANKS for getting this on record for us all !!! Sure hope we get to see some of the Car rebuild !!! Those are my thoughts... 🌵🌵💀💀👍👍🌵🌵
The rebuild was some months ago now, it took two weeks to rebuild a car to go full on, thats incredible and says it all about the Parts for Plus Team. The old car looked like a banana I believe, so from the chasis upwards, i.e. everything had to be replaced. What an achievement by a totally professional team. God Speed Parts for Plus and Clay Millican. As a viewer I feel humbled by the excellence, thankyou :)
I love this format of discussion with Clay and Jim O. Many of us who follow drag racing, or have driven race cars, or covered motorsports really get an inside view of what are in the heads of the drivers and the crew chiefs and their thought process. I think, like many others who follow drag racing on TH-cam get a special look through this channel. Way to guy Clay. I love being a part of this team.
Clay, seeing Jimmo doing that full on wrap up, vs the first day with the team, and I got the point from the absolute get go, that he really did not like or want the youtube camera looking at the inside scoop back then at all...Jimmy, you have done an absolute great thing allowing us the fan, and racer fans too, see the absolute inside story, the good, the bad, the really painful, and the greatest achievements in the sport of go fast loud pedal Nitro-Methane Dragster racing brother. That was the greatest interview and wrap up ever, and it is great that you have evolved to embrace us, and that camera, and let us into your soul....Ty Clay and Jimmo and the rest of the Rick Ware Parts Plus Team.....Go get em, 2 races left to finish this season on a great note. I will be there in Pomona to watch it live as I wrench and crew on a Comp. Elim. Entry.
It is awesome to hear Jim O reflect on his past memories of TMP. Clay, I am happy you are safe and the car can be fixed. I never want to hear Jim O speak your name as a previous driver.
Oh my goodness that run is another reminder of how close to the edge dragsters run every pass . I'm happy you kept it in your lane Clay. Thank you for posting all the great videos on your TH-cam channel
As always Clay .... Thanks for taking us along. The addition to Jim O on your videos is awesome . Good luck getting all of the pieces put back together . Thanks again !!!
Sure was a tough weekend in a lot of ways, but you made the most of it. You also moved up in points. Great to see Rick, and your family share a good weekend with you. 😊
Glad to see you guys go rounds on a gorgeous Texas weekend in person; couldn't have had better weather. The segments with Jon Repp in the SUV and Jim O in the trailer are much appreciated. And I agree with Tasca: can't wait to see the Ford TF/FC double up in the winners circle.
I love the amount of drag racing history both you and Jim O have. The amount of stories that could be told on both IHRA and NHRA would be incredible! 👍💥
Wow to hear the crew chief mention Blain Johnson, Scott Kalitta, and others really hits home. I was at the race that Blaine lost his life. I often wonder how good Blaine and Alan Johnson would have been through the years. Then to here him talk about Billy Meyer. What a racer he was also. Thanks for the memories guys
Love how Jim O explains it in plain terms we all can understand, Makes us feel like we, your viewers are part of the team. That to me is AWESOME! As far as the wheelie goes, great driving Clay, that could have been a lot worse. Glad you are ok, it came down hard. Your ride can be repaired or replaced, You Sir cannot. Glad to see Emily and Aaron pop in, Aaron seems to have recovered well from his health issue. Stay safe All, God Bless🙏
Wow! You were fractions of a tenth from things going from bad to worse! Great pedal timing and glad to just see a damaged racecar vs. a blowover. . . Yes Rick's pocketbook took a hit at this event on paper, but I saw so many things (performance, ability to get stuff replaced and the team pushing the envelope) that shows that this team is moving forward and will have an NHRA championship in the future if everyone keeps pulling the line together. Glad you're safe and healthy, hate the costs to the team, but love seeing the progress, happiness and humanity the RICK WARE RACING, PARTS PLUS, CLAY MILLICAN TOP FUEL TEAM show us every event! STOMP ON THAT LOUD PEDAL!!!!!
What a collaborative group Soul this Team is. A benchmark in transforming how we work as human beings. There is as much Love in the fuel tank as Nitro. Godspeed. 🏁
That was a great video, after having a few issues with engines then the wheelie, the interview with Jimo was so good. He is so calm and cool about the whole weekend and thoughtful about the whole crew,he smiles laughs oh well we will go to the next race. Loved the interview . Keep the good work up everyone.👏👏👏👍👍👍😎
Great video! Thanks to Jimmo & yourself for taking the time in the new style wrap ups. What a great team. Lots of repairs to do. See you in the next one.
Wow ! What a week end and what a video ! You knocked out of the ball park with this one Clay. So very much appreciated , the real behind the scenes look into what it takes to operate a Top Fuel team in today's world. Outstanding , thank you.
I actually really like to watch funny cars and top fuel cars do wheelies as long as the driver doesn't get hurt. Six years ago Cruz P. did the wheelie of all time and did sustain minor injuries but fortunately just minor ones. And Emily is so adorable too! You have great friends and fans. And it is always so nice when Rick shows up and stays positive even when you all are costing him a lot of money. Hope things go much better in Vegas Clay!
Clay America…Great Job!😮Beating JA! Hole shot against Mike!! Doing a big Wheelie!!! Losing only to the eventual winner!! Flying Sparks!!!! Great tales from Jim. I remember Billy kicking us out of his Pits. That’s another Story. Love Kaylynn!
Thank you and your team for making me a fan again! I’ve been a lifelong fan of drag racing but had gotten away from NHRA. Ever since I found your channel I have to admit I’m hooked again and can’t wait to go back to national events!
Separate comment for this: That meeting after the bendy car happened... what a team. Every one top to bottom. You can tell ya'll're disappointed, but still gonna get it done next week and everyone loves everyone. I'm so SO glad I somehow found this channel way back when. Some of the best content around. The background of how a top fuel dragster team works, and even some of the background of the NRHA production, and then the data dumps about what happened each round... And then the team itself being what it is... And oh yeah, there's this guy named Clay in it runnin' around makin' content and stompin' on loud pedals. :) Thanks for making this a thing, Clay. Such a great channel!
Great Video, and team!! Watching for a 4th at Vegas, we all know you can do it! Enjoy the rest of this year, Clay, Jim'o, Rick & team..... most likely will Not be ANY racing going on in 2024... for Anyone.
Clay, I really like to see how you allow yourself the ride back to the pit to ventilate a little. You don't do it to extreme like some others do but in a controlled manner. You wouldn't be human or a top notch competitor if you didn't care. When you get back to the crew you pick them up because they feel the loss as much as anybody on the team. The crew is under some of the most stress. They are not the highest salary people on the team. They travel as much, if not more, than anyone else, which keeps them away from their families. Love the Jim O debriefs. Keep it up. Good things happen to good people.
That shot out the side of the SUV at 4:15 is too freaking cool
Sure shows the speed!
Thank you.
Did the SUV break out? I see a new challenge for drag racing, tow car bracket racing. Also see the first for and a half minutes of the vid Niki Lauda Explains Formula One (1985)
I love how Jim O always pays respect to his competitors team, he's top notch.
Jim is an amazing man! He hides his competitive spirit in the most humble way. I'm so glad you shared this talk with him. Go win the last two!!
I love how you just let Jim talk and didn't interrupt. Great vid!!!
That Lift-Off Pic will make a KILLER T-Shirt or Poster !!
@04:00 I love her down track giggle on the drive by camera! 🏁😉.
Good job Clay. That second round was ALL you. Cutting lights like a bracket racer and GOING ROUNDS. Top 5 here it comes. Congrats to you Jim O and the team
Jim O is just the best. I need more people like him in my life. Calm, caring, intelligent, and a great leader.

All the way up to JimO's double bump before you stomp on the loud pedal. Let's see a video that walks us through everybody's pre race routine!
I second this clay 😮
I also vote for this maybe a good off season video
The routines are partly so that nothing is forgotten and having the same routines means that you get better stability in the runs.
And that you get a better team mentally..
Ouch. Moving on up. Literally 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
I'd watch all of that one, too.
Whoever is in charge of Merch for the team NEEDS to release a shirt for JimO ! REALLY ❤ Much RESPECT Mr O !
Hey! Ill buy 3! GO JIMO!
great to go down memory lane with Jim O. Geter done
Just awesome thank you folks !!!
Jim has a great way of putting things into perspective. The team is fortunate to have such a good dude at the helm and they show their appreciation in their attitudes and work ethic.
You know that was one of Jim’s best post race talks you know
Love the video’s, it puts a different perspective on things. It allows fans to see the trials and tribulations of running one of these cars. I’m not aware of another professional racer/team that invites their fans into their world weekly. Thanks Clay and team, we the fans appreciate it!
I love that man , Jim is one helluva Crew chief!
It looks like a wild ride. It's still worthy of a limited release T-shirt of that wheelie.

Clay is the ultimate ladies man of all ages ❤
Ya flying was spot on Clay .... landing was a bit awkward thou
Thanks for bringing us all world wide into your family !!!!
JimO has such a big heart, misses his friends that are lost, worries about Clay! And he and Clay would still race without each other, but it would not be as fun! ❤you guys!

You are great! Thank you for letting us see what's going on in your team.
Clay, this has to be one of the best fricken video's you've ever shared with us. Bloody hell mate, epic! Thank You! All of you!
Dear Mr. Merican, the ride with Bob (Tripp) Tasca on the back of the scooter was straight out of Dumb and Dumber, absolutely hilarious!! Love you bro!
The sit down with Jim-O.. he mentioned the business of keeping his driver safe, and follows it up with what a bad day of racing really is. That is an emotional moment for us fans.. because he's right.

Most of it is sponsor money, but I get the sentiment.
Great video. Really interesting. The conversation with Jim was the best.

She might be hurt, but she’ll come back better than before!!!
Hands down the funniest part was your sisters video of you hauling ass past the tow vehicle. Love your videos . Keep it going

I love this format of discussion with Clay and Jim O. Are you gonna call this one Bent(ly) ? :-)
Good show All the best for next one
That’s a good one.
This team is blessed. Never let anyone tell you otherwise.
Sure was a tough weekend in a lot of ways, but you made the most of it. You also moved up in points. Great to see Rick, and your family share a good weekend with you. 😊
Absolute love the new stuff with Jim. Intresting technical stuff. And as usual Clay is taking care of everybody around the team. Fantastic

Really liked the radio audio after the race another great behind the scene look and listen
Thank you. I captured that by accident, but it’s my fav part. 💙
So awesome hearing the team chatter. 5:17
I really enjoy the Jim O talks at the end. Listening to two of the greats is awesome and something you just don't get anywhere else
I love the amount of drag racing history both you and Jim O have. The amount of stories that could be told on both IHRA and NHRA would be incredible! 👍💥

See you in the next one.
So, this was an actual Parts Plus weekend.
Wow ! What a week end and what a video ! You knocked out of the ball park with this one Clay. So very much appreciated , the real behind the scenes look into what it takes to operate a Top Fuel team in today's world. Outstanding , thank you.

Hey thing happen in drag racing. Had a great weekend can’t wait till the next video.

A great team from the ground up! Keep up the positive attitudes!
Great video! They just keep getting better, thanks to Clay and everyone on the team for sharing!
Separate comment for this:
That meeting after the bendy car happened... what a team.
Thanks for making this a thing, Clay. Such a great channel!
Very much enjoying the debriefing with Jim!
Great race day summary from Jim O. Just one helluva great guy working with one helluva of a great team.
Very cool behind the scenes! Thank you thank you!❤
Clay, thank you for sharing, you and the team/owners are Awesome!
Smash That Pedal!!!!
Great talk with JimO. The technical stuff is very interesting, as is the background and emotional attachment JimO has with that track. Keep it coming!
Still smiling after getting beat up twice in the car. You are a tough cookie.
Great Video, and team!! Watching for a 4th at Vegas, we all know you can do it! Enjoy the rest of this year, Clay, Jim'o, Rick & team..... most likely will Not be ANY racing going on in 2024... for Anyone.
You're my favorite driver wish I could be there to watch you win some races good luck in everything you're doing
