The Battle Pass is a bit decent, mainly because Junker Queen, Sigma, Ramattra line, and spell caster theme overall earned my respect. But the one thing that destroyed the season is no new Ramattra skin.😭😭😭
I'm mainly disappointed with Kiriko getting YET another paid skin (tomorrow she gets one more in a collab btw) and the fact that the event came, I check the challenges to see if I get an emote, skin or just sprays and guess what..... WE GET NOTHING! only 2000k experience for each challenge, wow

As a Sombra Main, I can tell you for a fact that the vast majority of our community is not in favor of the changes despite the fact that we are adapting. I've also seen a large portion of the community outside of Sombra, including the widow, Mercy, and symmetra communities also hating on the changes in support of the Sombra community despite the fact that they all benefit greatly from them.
As a support main, I can't believe I am saying this, but I feel bad for the Sombra mains. I can even get behind the stealth changes, but it should not be tied to her translocator. Starting stealth should be a separate cooldown.

I'm sad they took Sombra out back as a Sombra player. Other side of the coin, she needed to be taken out back. I could run games BY MYSELF as Sombra if I really wanted to. New gamemode is the best part. Gilded mythics are cool, just wish people wouldn't flame others who got them through the prisms from Game Pass. Price is too high yes, but leave people alone.

Im a big MHA fan, im also someone who never buys skins in games, but when fortnite did their MHA collab i bought it all, i wasnt even that big into fortnite at the time but the entire bundle was reasonably priced so i bought it, I already know to get all 5 skins in OW its gonna cost a minimum of $70 if not more and probably $25 individually, I have zero interest in buying these skins purely because of blizzards greed

They nerfed Sombra way too hard. She's not hard to take out. All they needed to do was make the cool down time longer for invisibility after you're exposed. That's it. But they completely destroyed her and now she feels useless.
Could remove virus and make her stealth have depletion like hog vape as well, but of course they decided to choose the worst possible way to change her
PIPING HOT TAKE but having a brand new map, hero, and/or game mode EVERY season is overwhelming and is part of the reason we constantly need patches and reworks. Having to readjust to the meta every 90 days is kinda exhausting.

Yeah people love to just hate. They were loving the new skins when they were announced, but almost none of them got added this update, just the recolours and it’s like people forgot about them and are saying this seasons skins suck? The battle pass is on theme which they wanted. The only thing about the mythic skin complaints that I get is the lack of weapon customisation. Hating on the mode cause it’s stuff from pve, even tho it’s good.
playing the devils advocate/ being a sombra main. i feel like the best thing about this season is the gamemodes. not all the recolors are terrible. but I wouldn't pay over 10$ for a mythic recolor. the sombra changes, as being a sombra main aren't terrible, if you are adaptable and know how to play sombra than you can make them work. if you don't, than you can play sombra since you'll suck. rams changes are exactly what his name defines him as, a ram, he breaks barriers that's about it sooo cool ig. and, get over PVE cool idea but not gonna happen with blizzards declining budget. overall really good season comparatively.

The only thing I can agree on with all these whining babies is the fact that Kiriko gets TOO many skins while other characters are left behind. Honestly I really wouldn’t mind it if it was how sombra was originally with invis like a 15 second time limit and maybe same thing for translocator a time limit on to how long it’ll be sitting there even if they keep it the way it is now I’m fine as long as they can extend the invis time
Well the last version of her having infinite uptime on invis was way to strong so having it be tied to a cooldown ability like teleport is better for the game

Just go back. Go back to the first iteration of invis and delete stealth from translocator. That's it.
I played Sombra for a few hours yesterday. I really like the changes now you have to work more with the team and not just invisibly annoy everything that doesn't have a movement ability. In any case, it still needs some fine-tuning, especially because it's so slow without the invisibility, but otherwise I really like the change

The buffs aren't random. Everytime I played it. I was able to select what power ups I want from the very start of the match. Yes and getting like Ana's special prism gun it costs 80 prisims. To get all 4 cosmetic changes to her gun. What they're doing now is similar to COD. Like if you bought it the gun fires different and kills make them explode. All cosmetic for 80 prisims.
You will be able to buy the skin on its own if it’s not on the shop in its own section you can go onto the hero and filter for unowned and by it for coins at a lower price than the bundle
blizzard needs to realize. they'd make MORE money if they didn't do constant stupid nerfs and actually reasonably priced their skins, especially when it alienates a large chunk of their community. at least with the loot boxes for the price you were guaranteed a good chunk of items or money and could earn them for free. now a free skin is so few and far between and the ones you can buy are overly priced for what you're getting.
Actually they just made Widow S tier by nerfing Sombra to the ground. The same time as her brand new skin. So they know exactly what they're doing to make more money. It's why there's so many kiriko skins.

In my personal experience, players I encounter in Junkensteins Lab are more toxic than comp. One of my own teammates made me cry. The mode is fun, but the players aren't for me

OW can still have loot boxes, having a battle pass doesn't mean they can't coexist together. Apex Legends another F2P game has Apex Packs; their version of loot boxes, and although they ain't great at times, they still reward players for playing the game. They either get lucky and obtain stuff they want, or if it's duplicates they get in-game currency to save for the future, just like old loot boxes. I'd prefer to gamble with a box than be made to do 5 event challenges that give me pointless titles, sprays or charms that I'll never use.
I like the event, but i feel like my first 15 games were up against ridiculously difficult teams. Does anyone know if they are putting us in harder matches for our first 15 cause you get rewards faster if you win?

Matchmaking is getting worse and worse with each season. I'm sick of it. You can't solo carry anymore. Matchmaking can only work properly at master ranks, everything below suffers from terrible problems. Everything looks so rigged that it seems like the developer is just mocking us.
They didn't even show the Battle Pass skins because they knew how underwhelming they were. The shop is even more greedy. I'm sure they released the Junkestein Lab to mitigate backlash
Sorry but skins and cosmetics are not content for me. Skins and cosmetics are things that I use to play the content. And thats the problem, there is not much content and the content we have is mid at best.
That was my honest worry when they decided to go free to play. Getting an excuse to charge more for skins and it got worst overtime. Especially when they put recolors and charge so much for it. Feels like they are close to being EA at this point.
Ive had the most rage inducing time with junk lab. Always felt one sided. Even had a toxic enemy team that was stomping us so hard they wouldnt cap and end the game
I think the reason their doing Gilded Aspects skins is because overwatch league skins are going away forever at the end of this year so these will likely replace them.
Guys This season isnt actually bad The skins are really fun and were getting a great looking collabs, i doubt all the epics and recolors they are showing are all the skins the season has The BP is the most on theme its been and contains only three epic skin's The hero changes are actually pretty good, and the take or "there shouldnt be a catch" is dumb because thats kinda a part of BALANCING The new gamemode is OP but get genuinely fun Maybe before making claims of a season being bad, give the season more than TWO DAYS to be playable
I’m Ngl I’m glad Sombra mains have to play a bit different now, I was getting tired of literally walking out of spawn getting hacked then a virus throw at me and then die and not even see sombra
gonna give a few hot takes here. Regarding the skin recolors, I can see why it frustrates some people, but I personally don't mind so long as the skins looks nice (hell, sometimes I prefer the recolors over the original) As for the patch... I think people are overreacting to the sombra and ramattra ones. I've taken both for test for a few hours and from what I've experienced, they aren't bad... just different. Sombra got hit hard in what people are used to, but she also was given a new playstyle. Rather than hiding behind the enemy forever, Sombra now seems to more be based around going in from off angles and using increased lethality to pick off targets, though this could change with time. As for Ramattra, he's a shield breaker now, which is great against tanks like sig, rein, and winton. There's also barely any shields in the first place (only 6 if you count sym's ult) so it's not huge. The one complaint I have is still regarding skins, but it's more about who gets skins still. I'm not super happy that it feels like skins only tend to go to popular characters. Mercy, Tracer, and Kiriko obviously get too many, but I think the big culprit is rein. Now's a good time to bring up that All Might will be rein's third collab skin in a row with barely anytime passing, and unlike Optimus or Lich King... I think it looks kinda ugly. That said, we are getting a new skin for Juno, so I'm fine enough with this season. It's like a 7/10
i LOVE the new game mode! I have never been so into any previous game mode before! Skills that you pick at the beginning of each round (which ar shuffled so you almost never get the same build exactly) adds so much to the game. Some skills are so OP but it is so much fun. I wish this mode to be in arcade someday... the BP is MEH, I don't care.
Nah as a former sombra player, these changes aren’t it. Normally her changes are manageable and you can learn to work with it. This one was just a bunch of unnecessary changes that have no synergy. She’s definitely a throw pick atm. They massacred my girl. 😢

widow is the most infuriating character. sombra is easy to handle. people who hate sombra rather than widows are just solo players that only play for themselves.
all they needed to do with sombra (and has been since ow2 came out) is make it to where hack breaks on LOS more often. it is wayyyyyyyy to forgiving compared to ow1 sombra. perma hacking a tank that is properly LOSing is braindead and unfun to play against. they should revert this patch, change hack LOS around corners and she would be fun and fair to play against. its really that simple but this dev team clearly doesnt play their own game lol also, maybe she shouldnt be able to hack the same target after 15 seconds, kinda like what they did with zen discord, but id be fine with the LOS change only.
I skipping current mythic skin (not widow main) and use 80 prism for gold aspect or other useless kind of add on that used prism 😂. Gonna grind again for next season for other mythic skin that i want in future. Just getting it for my favorite heroes only.

They should keep the new game mode add slowly add more characters to it. They can put it in Arcade or a new QP mode. You lose swaping but gain buffs on you hero.
The only complaint I don't understand and I know where the Devs are struggling, are with the Sombra changes. Having half the community hate to play against her, half complain when she gets changed, but also complain when she doesn't get changed, like- they can't win. Her character design is flawed in OW2 to where she is either going to be very good and meta-defining (i.e. dogshit to play against), or awful and awful to play AS. The only thing I think they could do is go back to OW1 Sombra. I played the game for a good 3+ years before she even considered anything but a niche pick. Yea, the hacking/ability lock out sucked, but for genuinely 95% of OW1 she was not a very meta or even good hero, but was arguably still veryyy fun to play. Infinite stealth and a translocator you could place was super unique and fun, and as awful as that sounds, seeing an opposing sombra during those years was never really a threat or annoyance. I think that is the onlyyy way they can appease both sides, but again, this is the only complaint where they are genuinely dammed if they do, dammed if they don't.
Frankly I think game modes should realistically be the highlight if they don't plan to give skins the way they used to and just want to snort money. If the seasonal mode sucks, the season generally sucks.
This season is pretty much paladins. The black and gold skins paladins did it first but unlike overwatch in paladins you get them for FREE when you get a hero to level 50. Then the aspects which paladins does a lot more better than overwatch in my opinion. The nerfs people been praising on sombra doesn’t change much except her invisibility which despite that she can still farm someone from spawn if they wanted to so yeah still good. The widow mythic is lame I was expecting something like her all star skin mixed with some spider legs behind her like the iron spider suit from Spider-Man you know? This season is both Wizard 101 and Paladins

I know it's been kind of a meme to say supports are the new dps...but Baptise is literally a better dps than Sombra. Hell, tracer using quick melee is better. And the Ram change is so weird. You know what I think is really behind the Ram change? I believe they're trying to set up a sabotage of the 6v6 experiment. The new tank is gonna come out an be HEAVY shield based, bet money. Blizz is propering up a new double shield 2.0 jus so the community hates 6v6 an they won't be held to it
and dont forget Sombra got nerfed so hard she's literally useless when it comes to flanking she's a frontline hero now and her hack cant even work well cause it gets canceled when she gets hit, and yes I know Sombra is annoying as hell but they literally killed her character and she is kinda unplayable.

I actually love what they did with sombra to some degree. Making hack have a shorter ability block while giving damage boost is the way to go. The only thing is teleporting into invis is super clunky. Either separate them(I like virus but I’d rather sacrifice it) or make it so you go invis immediately after teleporting and lower teleport timer.
I really thoght that the title was click bait, because I think that S13 (so far) is one of if not the best season we have got, maybe only second to S9. -First of all I'm having a blast with the junkesnstein lab mode, really the best pvp mode we've got. -The battlepass this season for the first time in a lot of seasons is coerent and sticks to the theme without any random skin or recolor. -The Sombra changes are a step in the right direction for makeing the charcter healthy for the game, is she underpower? maybe, but still, I think over all this changes are a net positive. -The map reworks are great, they finally fixed a lot of the maps that the community hated. -There is a ton, and i mean a ton of teaser and lore drops hidden in the maps for the new hero and some of the new maps we could get in the future, also there are new plot development (for exemple on numbany airport there is a letter from efi to his mom with a picture that shows that juno, Efi and Orisa joined the new overwatch). -The scorebord updates are really nice. -Also we will get to test the new hero around the first half of november. -There is a 6v6 playtest sometimes this season if I remember correctly.

They nerfed Sombra way too hard. She's not hard to take out. All they needed to do was make the cool down time longer for invisibility after you're exposed. That's it. But they completely destroyed her and now she feels useless.
Or remove Virus and replace it with stealth

PIPING HOT TAKE but having a brand new map, hero, and/or game mode EVERY season is overwhelming and is part of the reason we constantly need patches and reworks. Having to readjust to the meta every 90 days is kinda exhausting.
New maps, heroes, and gamemodes dont come out every season. Its one or the other.

Yeah people love to just hate. They were loving the new skins when they were announced, but almost none of them got added this update, just the recolours and it’s like people forgot about them and are saying this seasons skins suck? The battle pass is on theme which they wanted. The only thing about the mythic skin complaints that I get is the lack of weapon customisation. Hating on the mode cause it’s stuff from pve, even tho it’s good.

playing the devils advocate/ being a sombra main. i feel like the best thing about this season is the gamemodes. not all the recolors are terrible. but I wouldn't pay over 10$ for a mythic recolor. the sombra changes, as being a sombra main aren't terrible, if you are adaptable and know how to play sombra than you can make them work. if you don't, than you can play sombra since you'll suck. rams changes are exactly what his name defines him as, a ram, he breaks barriers that's about it sooo cool ig. and, get over PVE cool idea but not gonna happen with blizzards declining budget. overall really good season comparatively.

5 seconds of invis doesn't get you into any opportune position, stuck at 225hp and more reasons

Honestly I really wouldn’t mind it if it was how sombra was originally with invis like a 15 second time limit and maybe same thing for translocator a time limit on to how long it’ll be sitting there even if they keep it the way it is now I’m fine as long as they can extend the invis time
Well the last version of her having infinite uptime on invis was way to strong so having it be tied to a cooldown ability like teleport is better for the game
@@hello_mr.yomi6627 Don't overcomplicate it. Literally just delete virus and give her temporary invis like back when Sombra first released. She never needed permanent invis. She never needed virus. Just go back. Go back to the first iteration of invis and delete stealth from translocator. That's it.
I played Sombra for a few hours yesterday. I really like the changes now you have to work more with the team and not just invisibly annoy everything that doesn't have a movement ability. In any case, it still needs some fine-tuning, especially because it's so slow without the invisibility, but otherwise I really like the change

The buffs aren't random. Everytime I played it. I was able to select what power ups I want from the very start of the match. Yes and getting like Ana's special prism gun it costs 80 prisims. To get all 4 cosmetic changes to her gun. What they're doing now is similar to COD. Like if you bought it the gun fires different and kills make them explode. All cosmetic for 80 prisims.
You will be able to buy the skin on its own if it’s not on the shop in its own section you can go onto the hero and filter for unowned and by it for coins at a lower price than the bundle
blizzard needs to realize. they'd make MORE money if they didn't do constant stupid nerfs and actually reasonably priced their skins, especially when it alienates a large chunk of their community. at least with the loot boxes for the price you were guaranteed a good chunk of items or money and could earn them for free. now a free skin is so few and far between and the ones you can buy are overly priced for what you're getting.
Actually they just made Widow S tier by nerfing Sombra to the ground. The same time as her brand new skin. So they know exactly what they're doing to make more money. It's why there's so many kiriko skins.

In my personal experience, players I encounter in Junkensteins Lab are more toxic than comp. One of my own teammates made me cry. The mode is fun, but the players aren't for me

OW can still have loot boxes, having a battle pass doesn't mean they can't coexist together. Apex Legends another F2P game has Apex Packs; their version of loot boxes, and although they ain't great at times, they still reward players for playing the game. They either get lucky and obtain stuff they want, or if it's duplicates they get in-game currency to save for the future, just like old loot boxes. I'd prefer to gamble with a box than be made to do 5 event challenges that give me pointless titles, sprays or charms that I'll never use.

Matchmaking is getting worse and worse with each season. I'm sick of it. You can't solo carry anymore. Matchmaking can only work properly at master ranks, everything below suffers from terrible problems.
Everything looks so rigged that it seems like the developer is just mocking us.
They didn't even show the Battle Pass skins because they knew how underwhelming they were. The shop is even more greedy. I'm sure they released the Junkestein Lab to mitigate backlash

Sorry but skins and cosmetics are not content for me. Skins and cosmetics are things that I use to play the content. And thats the problem, there is not much content and the content we have is mid at best.

That was my honest worry when they decided to go free to play. Getting an excuse to charge more for skins and it got worst overtime. Especially when they put recolors and charge so much for it. Feels like they are close to being EA at this point.

Ive had the most rage inducing time with junk lab. Always felt one sided. Even had a toxic enemy team that was stomping us so hard they wouldnt cap and end the game
I think the reason their doing Gilded Aspects skins is because overwatch league skins are going away forever at the end of this year so these will likely replace them.

The skins are really fun and were getting a great looking collabs, i doubt all the epics and recolors they are showing are all the skins the season has
The BP is the most on theme its been and contains only three epic skin's
The hero changes are actually pretty good, and the take or "there shouldnt be a catch" is dumb because thats kinda a part of BALANCING
The new gamemode is OP but get genuinely fun
Maybe before making claims of a season being bad, give the season more than TWO DAYS to be playable

Regarding the skin recolors, I can see why it frustrates some people, but I personally don't mind so long as the skins looks nice (hell, sometimes I prefer the recolors over the original)
As for the patch... I think people are overreacting to the sombra and ramattra ones. I've taken both for test for a few hours and from what I've experienced, they aren't bad... just different. Sombra got hit hard in what people are used to, but she also was given a new playstyle. Rather than hiding behind the enemy forever, Sombra now seems to more be based around going in from off angles and using increased lethality to pick off targets, though this could change with time. As for Ramattra, he's a shield breaker now, which is great against tanks like sig, rein, and winton. There's also barely any shields in the first place (only 6 if you count sym's ult) so it's not huge.
The one complaint I have is still regarding skins, but it's more about who gets skins still. I'm not super happy that it feels like skins only tend to go to popular characters. Mercy, Tracer, and Kiriko obviously get too many, but I think the big culprit is rein. Now's a good time to bring up that All Might will be rein's third collab skin in a row with barely anytime passing, and unlike Optimus or Lich King... I think it looks kinda ugly. That said, we are getting a new skin for Juno, so I'm fine enough with this season. It's like a 7/10

i LOVE the new game mode! I have never been so into any previous game mode before! Skills that you pick at the beginning of each round (which ar shuffled so you almost never get the same build exactly) adds so much to the game. Some skills are so OP but it is so much fun. I wish this mode to be in arcade someday... the BP is MEH, I don't care.
Nah as a former sombra player, these changes aren’t it. Normally her changes are manageable and you can learn to work with it. This one was just a bunch of unnecessary changes that have no synergy. She’s definitely a throw pick atm. They massacred my girl. 😢

This season is really good so far
all they needed to do with sombra (and has been since ow2 came out) is make it to where hack breaks on LOS more often. it is wayyyyyyyy to forgiving compared to ow1 sombra. perma hacking a tank that is properly LOSing is braindead and unfun to play against. they should revert this patch, change hack LOS around corners and she would be fun and fair to play against. its really that simple but this dev team clearly doesnt play their own game lol also, maybe she shouldnt be able to hack the same target after 15 seconds, kinda like what they did with zen discord, but id be fine with the LOS change only.
Sombra isn't useless. People who used infinite invisibility as a crutch have become useless.
I skipping current mythic skin (not widow main) and use 80 prism for gold aspect or other useless kind of add on that used prism 😂.

They should keep the new game mode add slowly add more characters to it. They can put it in Arcade or a new QP mode. You lose swaping but gain buffs on you hero.

The only complaint I don't understand and I know where the Devs are struggling, are with the Sombra changes. Having half the community hate to play against her, half complain when she gets changed, but also complain when she doesn't get changed, like- they can't win. Her character design is flawed in OW2 to where she is either going to be very good and meta-defining (i.e. dogshit to play against), or awful and awful to play AS. The only thing I think they could do is go back to OW1 Sombra. I played the game for a good 3+ years before she even considered anything but a niche pick. Yea, the hacking/ability lock out sucked, but for genuinely 95% of OW1 she was not a very meta or even good hero, but was arguably still veryyy fun to play. Infinite stealth and a translocator you could place was super unique and fun, and as awful as that sounds, seeing an opposing sombra during those years was never really a threat or annoyance. I think that is the onlyyy way they can appease both sides, but again, this is the only complaint where they are genuinely dammed if they do, dammed if they don't.

This season is pretty much paladins.
The black and gold skins paladins did it first but unlike overwatch in paladins you get them for FREE when you get a hero to level 50.
Then the aspects which paladins does a lot more better than overwatch in my opinion.
The nerfs people been praising on sombra doesn’t change much except her invisibility which despite that she can still farm someone from spawn if they wanted to so yeah still good.

I know it's been kind of a meme to say supports are the new dps...but Baptise is literally a better dps than Sombra. Hell, tracer using quick melee is better. And the Ram change is so weird. You know what I think is really behind the Ram change? I believe they're trying to set up a sabotage of the 6v6 experiment. The new tank is gonna come out an be HEAVY shield based, bet money. Blizz is propering up a new double shield 2.0 jus so the community hates 6v6 an they won't be held to it
and dont forget Sombra got nerfed so hard she's literally useless when it comes to flanking she's a frontline hero now and her hack cant even work well cause it gets canceled when she gets hit, and yes I know Sombra is annoying as hell but they literally killed her character and she is kinda unplayable.

I actually love what they did with sombra to some degree. Making hack have a shorter ability block while giving damage boost is the way to go. The only thing is teleporting into invis is super clunky. Either separate them(I like virus but I’d rather sacrifice it) or make it so you go invis immediately after teleporting and lower teleport timer.

I really thoght that the title was click bait, because I think that S13 (so far) is one of if not the best season we have got, maybe only second to S9.
-First of all I'm having a blast with the junkesnstein lab mode, really the best pvp mode we've got.
-The battlepass this season for the first time in a lot of seasons is coerent and sticks to the theme without any random skin or recolor.
-The Sombra changes are a step in the right direction for makeing the charcter healthy for the game, is she underpower? maybe, but still, I think over all this changes are a net positive.
-The map reworks are great, they finally fixed a lot of the maps that the community hated.
-There is a ton, and i mean a ton of teaser and lore drops hidden in the maps for the new hero and some of the new maps we could get in the future, also there are new plot development (for exemple on numbany airport there is a letter from efi to his mom with a picture that shows that juno, Efi and Orisa joined the new overwatch).
-The scorebord updates are really nice.
-Also we will get to test the new hero around the first half of november.
-There is a 6v6 playtest sometimes this season if I remember correctly.
