  • Some footage from this years show. Weather was excellent and there was a great Turnout with around 10,000 attendees!
    If you're not a member consider Joining and if you're local and want to help out they are always looking for volunteers

    Great work on the video. With 10,000 people that would average out to be just over 3,000 attendees per day that show must have been awesome, the last time I attended one of their shows at Bowling Green there was probably a total of 1,000 attendees for both the Friday and Saturday event. Hope they continue to grow again because it would be great to have another operating equipment show to attend!

    Being a retired HDR/W Union Cat Mechanic, worked the dealers, from the early 60's up until 20 years ago,
    I worked on A models, 2U, all that old iron, not so much with the shovels. especially the really old stuff.
    need to acquire a 666 push pull scraper, I made my living maintaining a fleet of the 666's in CA. My first in counter with the 666 was ion 75, in Texas, SJ Groves had several of them, I inherited the scrapers. McCoy and Sons out of CA owned them, although I don't see where anyone is using them any longer.

    Love your videos and content. I would love to hear just a little narration during your show videos. So much of the equipment is hard to tell the make model. When I was 3 years old, they installed new storm drains and pipe, and I will never forget watching a cable shovel work next to our house. My mother could barely keep me out of the way! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills with us.

    With good operator I think the cycle time on the old shovels is just as fast as a modern hydraulic excavator.

    • @73DiamondReo
      @73DiamondReo  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      ive thought this could be the case depending on the machine

    They should park that 631, what a smoke show! just burning the pistons, not impressive at all! That 9 sure isn't any better!

      For the couple hours it will run every year or two it will be fine. Can only do so much with the limited volunteers and I think people would rather see the equipment moving than static.
