- Jaques brothers of Richmond, victoria, Australia built this English designed Ruston Bucyrus 10rb under licence in the early 1940s.
It is now at Lake Goldsmith rally ground with Rodger behind the wheel.
hes does a good job given how worn the old man and machine are.
is the a 3 cylinder Ruston motor in this. unlike the later Australian built machines running a Lister engine - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Great to see videos from you. What is in it for power? Doesn’t sound the healthiest but neither do some of mine. Then again sometimes the audio on these videos doesn’t sound like it does in person.
i think its a Ruston Hornsby 3VRH. it runs on 3 cylinders sometimes and one 1 other times. one cylinder is worn out. other issues are worn injecto pump and the gear drive to the pump is also worn out. it jump gears once before and stopped running and i think its done the same not long after that video i took. the Jaques 15J shovel to the left has a Lister of the same size in it and runs rather well.
@@hurricanedaniel it’s a testimony to how good of an engine it is if it will still run in that condition!
@@oldamericaniron5767 its amazing how worn the whole machine is yet it keeps going. though its only run maybe 4 times a year for 2 days at a time. but as you know. alot of old stuff just keeps on going
Looks like it could use injector cleaner!
I'm just kidding that old girl probably has excavated the equivalent of the Suez Canal in its lifetime. Theres one at work with a W6 McCormick power pack i can film it if you want some footage.
Haha. The old girl defantly needs some work. The W6 powered shovel would be interesting. Ive not seen one in person with a International motor in it.
@hurricanedaniel it's not a Ruston but a Jaques, sorry for the confusion....
@@andrewjoyce7789 i assumed you where tslking about a jaques. Both of my J15s have Fordson Major engines fitted. Thought they dont look factory
@hurricanedaniel I'll get video for you next week
@@andrewjoyce7789 sounds good to me
