Just run across your video and remember these old cranes from the 50's. I would ride my bike for miles to just spend a summers day watching these work. I also remember a crane with a hydraulic clam shell bucket that could be driven to a work site. I haven't seen one of those in many years now as I am 80 years old now. Thank you for saving these cranes of my youth.
Good job Frank, the fuel mixture sounded a bit rich and then you had the afterburner kick in!😂
its way rich. carb still needs rebuilt
what job well done
Firebreathing beast raised from the dead! Cant believe it started that easy with such a messed up carb.
Another great video. I’ve never loosened the release clutch for the steering on my 10B so the handle just goes round and round when I swing and I drain water out of the gear housing every year, never got around to addressing that issue. I thought I had a shovel front located for it but all there was was the front, all the components needed for in the machine were missing. I’ll be watching for the next one.👍
You’re making me wonder if the steering is broken now. If that sprocket should spin when swinging the machine mine doesn’t that I’m aware of so that would mean the bevel gear or shaft is broken correct? I need to pull that cover under the drums anyway so I’ll have to investigate
@@73DiamondReo Something has to be wrong. Do you have a parts book for it, as you know they can often be helpful with how things should work before disassembly. The man with the Link-Belt gave me a 10B parts book. At any rate, I’ll be watching.
@@oldamericaniron5767 I looked at it some but didn’t give it much thought until I read your comment a few times. I’m guessing this is not going to be a fun repair
@@73DiamondReo Now my curiosity is perked so when I get home I’ll have to look in parts manual to see if there is an exploded parts diagram to see how it all works.
Your best issue to date. It's enjoyable to watch you progress as a TH-camr. I know it's a lot of work.
Thanks It is a lot of work and time or money are limited so i do what i can when i can do it. help get the word out. This old stuff has a very small demographic
Im have my maximum rispect of your difficult repair work
thanks
Another superb video, all the better for your observations being as bone dry as those frozen joints. You are a real champion..
Thanks 👍
Great job getting it running and moving Frank!
trying to get more stuff for you to play on this year
Nice find! I'd love to find a 10b or 15b
they're out there
Haven’t got time to watch it now. In the Dominican Republic, my stepson and fiancé got married here yesterday and going out to eat now. I just jumped thru video, looks to be a good one 👍. Something for me to watch in a.m. when everyone is still sleeping.
I hope the radiator has coolant in it!!
I filled it but it has a few leaks
incredible how a machine could be subjected to so much water that the manifold disintegrates but still be in operating condition more or less. love the drag line machines man !!
Great job 👏
That is so awesome just goes to show you can't kill old iron
Good job , remember the Oil pump to the gears,., I have a 10 RB here in denmark
Yup seems like that’s the lowest point
It lives ,flaming up ready to go ,kinda ! Enjoyed watching friend!
just a bit
Perhaps you could get someone to fabricate a header for it. A hot rod excavator. LoL.
I’m going to build one
At 51:53, she lets a good fireball lol.
Fantastic work again! Thanks for sharing
Got a little toasty in there
That’s awesome! All was love your videos. Just wish had time to do stuff like that. 👍👍
thanks
You never disclosed to me that FR was required at home too! Great video!
I was in FR for the lower half
Really enjoyed seeing you getting things freed up and working bro, even the engine started then a pyrotechnics show to boot. Safe travels. Ken.
this is the most siezed up machine ive worked on. ive spent a ridiculous amount of time heating and beating to get to this point. its running a little rich at the moment
You have a brother named Matt over at diesel creek? 😂
Brother From a different mother 😂
*Bravo Frank!* 😁👍 You done a fantastic job freeing up the pins/levers and getting it running again! It's a shame there was soo much water inside, hopefully things will free up better. Enjoyed the upload. Happy wrenching 🔧🔩
Not much left that’s stuck. Boom hoist pawl, and steering are all that’s left. I don’t care about getting the 2 speed working. I feel like leaving it frozen will stop anyone else from using it also
Just amazing
This stuff just keeps going
Your living the life i'm supposed to. lol
@@skadill you got rid of the 205!
Lol, you'll have a heated cab when you shut all the sheet metal. Good job Frank.
winter only machine lol
The under carriage looks great on that old rig
its kinda rough
