Best camping accessories to make a backpacking and hiking trip safe fun enjoyable and awesome - บันเทิง
The only paid integration in this entire video is from LMNT. The reason this video seems a bit off is because I had surgery which affected me being on camera and we were looking to post a video. We filmed an intro after I healed up, which allowed me to be on camera for a few minutes as well as a mid role sponsorship for LMNT. I appreciate you guys watching regardless, even though this one seemed a bit off! I completely agree!
Hope you are feeling great!
Since you’re not feeling great maybe you should do a video relaxing in fishnets… no seriously take a look at Wiggy’s fishnet thermal wear or (if you have money to burn) Brynje thermal mesh. They allow water to leave while trapping warm air pockets.
Looking forward to more adventure videos but also love to see quick life update vids. Hope you have a swift recovery.
WOW! Thanks Dan! This video raised quite the stir amongst our little crew! Everyone at Swift is thrilled to have your support and we look forward to future adventures!
So glad you mentioned Swift! I’ve worked in the specialty coffee space for a few years and tell people about them all the time when I go on outdoor trips.
Word of mouth is an amazing complement! We truly appreciate the support Brandon!
they sent me a package as well, love it
Pleasantly plump!!!! I feel so seen. Thanks Dan from all your juicier followers.
A shemagh. Never without one since my time in the desert in late 90-early 91. Super useful, much bigger than a bandana, can be used to wrap around a pillow, dries fairly quickly.
I always bring an insulated camp cup/mug. It isn't the lightest and it isn't titanium, but it keeps my coffee hot down to the last sip.
This. As I'm usually making food for more than just me (+1 or 2), I don't eat out of the pot, so the 18oz mug is good for food and drink! Each of us carry one and a spork (we all have our own preferences). When dry and packed, between use, I keep dry food/coffee in them.
Try looking at the gsi outdoor infinity neoprene mug. Not huge but holds a cup of Joe.
Or the greens steel. Just over 300 grams not exactly light weight but leak proof lid and double walled and 16oz
I just spent a year traveling Asia and I've been weaned off coffee, and I'm fully appreciating all types of teas now. I'm currently in Nepal and there's a drink they serve at the teahouses here called "Hot Lemon". I can't wait to make my own version of these back in North America. I feel WAY better drinking the hot lemons over coffee.
Awesome infomercial 😆 🤣 😂
It's always great pleasure to be with you sir the great! Lots of love and respect from a solo mountain hiker from the Hindu Kush Mountains Lower Chitral District of Pakistan!
4:17 Interesting that the instant coffee actually tasted like instant coffee.
Funny how I never see anyone talk about gravity fed filters like platypus or my amazon find: miniwell. I use mine at camp and process 3L at a time while I am setting up my tent and gathering firewood. As a more than pleasantly plump guy (just under 300lbs) I use a Helinox Chair 1 as the lighter chairs won't hold me (worth the 2lbs.) I will check Swift out as SB Viva is my go to for camp coffee. Plus gotta have that double insulated mug for hot tea at night.
Love the channel, had strong commercial vibes. Someday I will get to try some of this gear.
I love the KOTA UL. It’s so versatile and easy to travel with. No issues with carrying it on multiple airlines.
I wanted to like the Nemo Moonlite Elite so bad, but the Helinox Chair Zero is way more comfortable unfortunately 😒
I bring a “dog bone” food bag gizmo- it’s for a pct bear hang without having to tie a clove hitch around a stick under tension. Also use a small arbor sling - your bear line glides smoother (almost like a pulley) and snags are a thing of the past.
I love my ultra light chair! It's a must have for my trips
I recently purchased the OV Kota UL for domestic and international trips I have coming up. I wanted a backpack combining utility and convenience with comfort to use as a carry on for my 3-4 week trips. So far, I am loving this pack. Easy access to my gear and clothing is key. I'll know more by the end of the year, but I'm pretty happy so far with this pack. OV rarely lets me down. I will also totally agree and recommend the LMNT electrolyte supplements. They are amazing in every way. I appreciate the recommendation for swift. I'll give them a try as I'm constantly looking for good coffee on trail. A couple of things you did not mention were different types of trekking poles. I have several pairs and often switch depending on location and shelter. I loved my old GG poles, but the newer pair completely busted in NM on the first day of a trail volunteer trip along the cdt. I ordered a new pole, but I'm too afraid to depend on it in case it fails. I use my poles to support my tarps and shelters and I also fear injury in rocky terrain I have a pair of zpacks cork handled poles arriving this week and I'm excited to give them a try. Despite my affection for the black diamond folding carbon fiber poles, they just aren't tall enough to support most of my trekking pole tents. I fall back on less expensive but UL Fizan poles that never seem to fail me. What poles do you like to use?
Just buy the 6 liter platypus and be done with filtering.
Hello Dan, in cold temp. 5F , if you use the FJALLRAVEN KEB PANTS you use any underpants while hiking ?
It’s…Lan-kister Pennsylvania 😂 I was corrected there before.
Lancaster is pronounced Lane-ka-ster.
Lan-kister is right on the money!
DMCA takedown using Target's logo in first 5 seconds. Naughty emmit
Hey Dan when you gonna come to the Smoky Mountains so we can go hiking!!
This was my dilemma on an upcoming flight. How do you pack your backpacking pack lol do you check it and have a carry on backpack for the hotel?
Good video like the new video style
Is one of them an ultralight carbon fiber sub woofer for my Bluetooth speaker?
Hahaha I like it but another of speaker haters on the scene
What kind of charging cables you using????
love my swift coffee
do you really bring LMNT on all your trips and is it actually good or is it just for the sponsorship?
hey mane have you looked int to power tools battery banks i started traveling with my m18 12 amp battery and i can get 12 charger with that one on a phone but it is 3 lbs 😅 indont see it has a bad thing for must of my trips but i can also charge from a 110/ c / and usb all in one at the same time
Dan Becker your money🍀🌳
as the video i started, i yelled, you better mention chairs. you did not disappoint. i watch your videos to use for bikecamping and have learned never to leave without a chair. currently working on making coffee.
I feel like they all mention chairs in every video. I was kinda hoping for gear that I'd be shocked to see an ultra lighter take like the firemaple orange lanter they kept showing.
Does anyone know what the first generation Sawyer water filters thread count is?
Don't know about first generation but I bought a sawyer squeeze about 5 years ago and it fits the cnoc bags.
Maybe its a paid promo maybe its not. Dan seems like a pretty honest dude so he woukd probably tell us he likes all these things anyway. If he gets paid for an honest opinion and a very well done video im cool with that.
“Chairs are becoming more popular…”
Yeah because of you!!!
No one thought about it until you mentioned it. Then everyone was like ‘huh, yeah Dan. Chairs’ *goes to Amazon
I love my chair. And I thank you
I love my chair. And I thank you
another Thriller Eyes thumbnail
the goat
Binoculars! I use them mostly for bird watching but are also useful for spotting other animals as well as navigating and enjoying the scenery!
I love this. I never see any of these guys talk about binoculars. I'm sure they wouldn't need them with all their fancy TH-cam gear but why not for the normal folks to add perspective to the grand vistas. Just another way to appreciate nature.
I don't understand why cnoc make 2 different thread bottles, why not just make a cap adapter that takes it from big to small. bet they do it to make you buy 2 instead of one.
If you have an old BeFree filter you can do just that. Remove the blue filter where it's glued to the white top and you'll have a 42mm to 28mm adapter.
Cool, thanks for that! @@FlyfishermanMike
one of the best gear review videos
Your thumbnail eyes are really scary.
those LMNT are so salty. Do you do anything to tone that down?
Dilute them with more water. I personally like the salty taste, but if you add more water per packet you can adjust the flavor to suit your preference.
We have a bunch of the CNOC water bladders in our group and learned that the glue can let go around the 28mm thread. Still the best bag we've found for pairing with a Sawyer Squeeze.
We keep an orange one for dirty water and green or blue for filtered water.
Nalgene makes a 96oz canteen that I use for the bottom of a gravity filter when I'm with a group. It's 2.8 oz but stands up! I use the CNOC for dirty water.
I like to pack this super light weight 4” fan!! It’s awesome packs down super flat and helps with the condensation in the tent. I don’t always pack but it sure is nice to have here in East Tennessee on those hot humid summer nights
Interesting. I've never thought of or heard of doing this. Link?
Dan I loved your gear reviews until that changed….im not a Durston geek but I watched the review vid and you loved that tent….then all of a sudden you have a video cutting it up…..why would I support your video sponsors when you might change your mind in a few months?
That's the way of youtube I'm afraid.
Everything is the "best product out there" when it is not only free but EARNS you money on top.
But its only "the best" until the next sponsor comes along.
You see this all the time on UK vanlife videos, it's really tedious.
Especially when the same products go through the whole community and have VERY similar "sales pitches" until the next brand.
Other youtube communities are the same.
If ANYTHING is given free or sponsored, I disregard it as a "review" and just take it as a quick look at a product without somebody's opinion on it.
I hate TH-cam thumbnails.
sack your thumbnail graphics guy
This whole video screams paid advertising.
Please try to avoid this, its a real turn off for listening to your opinions on ANY gear.
Im not saying you cant do sponsored, free or paid, but make it clear and try not to make it sound like a list of things you purchased with your hard earned cash and use every trip.
My least favorite video of yours. And I can’t stand every youtuber talking about LMNT out of no where. I should have turned it off as soon as I saw the cup. 1000 mg of salt! I mean, maybe if you were hiking the Grand Canyon in August. At this point I’m not sure if you’re a trusted source for reviews or if you’re being paid off by the mob 😂. At least you didn’t bring up Decathlon in this one…
I'm totally buying that pack.
