    I am bringing you my third vlog today were I thought I would film a day in the life of a research student video in case any of you are looking into university courses and are wondering what it is like to be a research student. I personally am studying a master's (MRes - master's of research) in a course called Translational Cancer Medicine at King's College London University. I work within the new cancer centre at King's Guy's Campus at London Bridge. This course is one year long and gives you a bit of a taste as to what life as a PhD research student may be like! I hope you find this video useful, and if you have any questions about postgraduate courses or cancer research, let me know! much love, A!

    I'm sorry if this question sounds weird, but how do the research students 'decide' what to do the research on? Are you given some kind of topics to choose from or do you need to think of the research project yourself? :)
    Also, you're a very inspiring person! :)

    • @atousa5752
      @atousa5752  7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      It's not a weird question at all! so when I applied for this masters there were a list of projects available and a list of the supervisors who offered them. We got to pick our top 5 choices, and then be allocated to them. The projects often change even after you have picked them because that's just the nature of research, but generally you will be doing some sort of project in the field of your chosen supervisor! :) and thank you lovely, that is very sweet! :)

      No, that was just something she wanted to learn for her masters research project. Biomedical science is very lab based rather than patient contact.

    • @atousa5752
