I am an analytical thinker and could care less for memorization because memorization and comprehension are not equal. I am not paying tuition to memorize, I am paying tuition to LEARN.
Yea a lot of memorization is needed, but is required to "learn" why some things happen. For any STEM class, it is important to not only know how to do something, but what is actually happening. So its not the case of knowing less and memorizing more, succeeding in any STEM class requires both and you will probably not do well if you don't have both.

Im majoring in chemistry science, and when I finished my organic chemistry and passed all the exams I was Really relieved, but right after that I met polymer chemistry and it was even worse 😭😭😭
