An open server idea for WoW is interesting. I would also like the option to level on Tel'Abim without feeling stuck there. FF XIV basically has this where you can visit other servers to play with friends, etc.
The Turtle team should have opened another PvE server instead of their PvP server since Nord seems a bit overcrowded & overcamped by 60's once you pass a certain level, especially since most so-called PvP players still seem to always roll on PvE servers. Not enough of them are hardcore, patient or talented enough to play on an actual PvP server.
This is honestly great I'm glad to hear it. Many people will be satisfied with populations and current server health in general and this is a good thing.
If server migration is free and fast between servers, everything should be fine, people would go to Tel Abim for smoother leveling/farm/competing less on mobs but would take the risk of PVP, which would make content for ppl looking for PVP When they get bored of the ganks, they can come back to Nordanaar Open server seems like a very difficult technology to implement here
Open server concept wouldn't work for vanilla client due to different structure of the server/realm/character list for it. Also, I imagine (just a theory) that resource redistribution and as follows the economy of each realm with cross-realm access would be pretty much ruined due to excess/scarcity plus grifters and scalpers would thrive immensely with such approach. Fix for this situation is way more complex than what you've described and proposed. I appreciate the notion and time dedicated, alas, it's not possible for the old client and realms/DB to work that way. I'd suggest to have a look at how Blizzard managed the population control over their servers back in the day with transfers and copy/merge of the realms. Bear in mind however, that's not the best solution either, since that would disperse the population into smaller fractions, resulting in a possible threat of diminishing or worse case - losing the population over time. Turtle should grow, bring players together and keep the game economy steady. With more (I'm sure there's a lot more) content coming in the future they'll have the numbers and if needed, they might open new copies (no, not fresh) of Nordanaar realm for people to populate if the main server will ever be overcrowded.
Give cross-server BGs. One big factor I see is players going to Nordanaar simply because BGs ding more often there, especially AV. Cross-server BGs would help solve that. Perhaps improve rewards for same level range world-pvp with perhaps increased honour, Gold or cross BG rep bonuses.
@@D3F1B this is a great idea thank you! Yes great idea and I think your right. Even cross-server for dungeon finder and BG’s would fix the issue great comment.
I'm in Australia🇦🇺 and thinking of joining twow .which is best for me latency wise plz .awsome content nice and calm 😊 everyone is to wound up these days
I hope to see you in TurtleWoW @jaredcrow3710. There is so much to experience here that I will remember for the rest of my life. New Dungeons, New Zones, Quality of life fixes etc. Its great man.
is an amazing server, i recommend you Noordanar (pve/rpve) tomorrow 1th november gona be 1.17.2 new patch launch day, can be difficult to play, but bro, give it a try :D
Maybe try the oceanic realms? Might be too much chinese though. Just pick up nampower (mod, not addon) to help with ping issues if you pick nordanaar (there are AU guilds there iirc).
Yes same here I'm in australia and want to play looked up the oceanic but not sure how many would speak English I started on the pvp sever it's great no regrets
Realistically, we have seen the TWoW devs do some pretty amazing things over the last six years. I am confident they could if they decided it was a good solution. Who knows though, it takes good leadership to know how far your teams talents can and should be applied.
People just hate pvping on a pvp game, plug, half or more of the people playing are playing HC, and to know you can get greifeld on a pvp server turns them away. Change how HC works on pvp server and the pop will grow.
They can add stuff like makgora duels only on the pvp server which will def make people convert whilst not flagging hardcore players compared to normal players preventing ganking
Typical blue-shielder. Tel-Abim players play there because seeing a horde/ally in your home territory and not being able to touch him break our immersion. Tbh, I'm not sure why Nordanaar players are so quick to express hate on Tel'Abim PvPers. Guilt of playing easy mode I think.
worse idea ever, community, economy, gear all matter on world of Warcraft being able to just hop over willy dilly with x amount of gold or x amount of gear where most of the server may not have even probably cleared content is just an idea for people to ruin servers
@@seductivesock5032 yeah thats true, it may solve population problems but it may cause economy problems. That doesnt mean another solution couldnt be implemented such as (not being able to take gold or inventory from one server to another) it just takes creative problem solving and some love thats all.

Man FF does have some good ideas. I constantly hear good things.
Happy to hear the population is growing, I just started playing and planning to play consistently as my main mmorpg

World bosses and spontanious world events would be cool
This is my server! (Alli) I’m Still leveling and people, horde and alliance , have been chill! Some world pvp here n there , a couple ganks…perfect!

Whats the best option for the devs? For the long term health of the org? Easy shut the pvp server down.
I was honestly thinking we might be getting close to needing more servers soon.
