Did you know, for example, that you can apply some petroleum jelly to the eyelids before using eye shadows? To style your hair, rub petroleum jelly between your fingers and apply it to your hair. The main thing here, as with other styling gels, is not to use too much. Believe it or not, you can replace almost all of your cosmetics products with petroleum jelly. How is this possible? SUMMARY:
- Before applying a bronzing cream, lubricate dry areas such as elbows and knees with petroleum jelly. The cream will cover your skin evenly, and you’ll get a beautiful tan.
- Before spraying perfume on the wrist and neck, apply some petroleum jelly to your skin. It absorbs and preserves the smell better.
- Squeeze a drop of petroleum jelly onto a clean brush, and comb the eyebrows, giving the hairs the desired direction. It will dry, and the eyebrows will keep the correct shape for the whole day.
- Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly to the eyelashes before going to sleep. It can help them grow faster and thicker over time.
- Apply petroleum jelly to dry hair ends, and keep it on for 15-20 minutes. The product seals the split ends, and after several uses the condition of the hair will be much better.
- Apply petroleum jelly to the hairline while working with henna or dye. It will protect the skin from staining.
- When painting the nails, apply a little petroleum jelly to the cuticle, without touching the nail. This way you prevent the nail polish from getting on the skin.
- If you regularly rub Vaseline into the nail plate, it will get a glossy shine and become more solid over time.
- You’ll cope with a stuck zipper much more quickly if you lubricate the problem area with petroleum jelly. You can also use it for rusty buttons and furniture fittings.
- If you stained your clothes with lipstick or foundation, apply a little petroleum jelly to the stain. Then wash in the usual way.
- To prevent the nail polish lid from sticking to the bottle after use, lubricate the thread inside the lid or on the bottle with petroleum jelly.

Two years ago I had cancer on my nose. The doctor did a procedure called Mohs. My cancer was quite deep, and I looked pretty rough for a couple of weeks. My doctor told me to keep Vaseline on it, until it was healed. It speed up the healing process, and lessened the scarring. You can not tell where the surgery was. So, for those who say it’s not good for the human body, I disagree. It certainly did wonders on my nose! I would recommend you use it on your cuts and abrasions. Unless you like scars.

Here’s how each skin type works with Vaseline:
*Oily skin* : proceed with caution. It’s easy to overdo it with oily skin and Vaseline, locking in sebum and creating pimples galore. Try to stick to the body instead of the face, and focus on very dry parts (like the feet).
*Dry skin* : Vaseline was practically made for dry skin - its protective properties mixed with the way it locks in moisture can relieve discomfort from dry skin.
*Sensitive skin* : since Vaseline is unscented, hypoallergenic, and free from artificial coloring, it shouldn’t irritate sensitive skin. However, you can always try a patch test. If petroleum products bother you, try an alternative moisturizer below. Be sure to keep it away from the face!
Very useful tip: before putting on your socks and walking shoes, apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly or vaseline underneath your feet esp. the friction prone areas. This will prevent callouses and roughening/ hardening of skin if you are into regular long walks everyday. Apply them on feet to prevent shoe bites. I found this very very useful.

Yes, I’ve been putting coconut oil on and castor oil but that it is sticky and thick and I first tried this today premium jelly and I’ll tell you it really is a lot better. It feels smooth and easy and not so thick and sticky.
By doing all these steps our Petroleum jelly will end in a day only😂

When my lipstick almost gone I dig the bottom of the remain lipstick n mix with petroleum jelly n put it in a tiny jar n use it as a Lips balm , so here I get Balm with color...!

I had been using vaseline under my eyes and I can see a tremendous change in the puffiness and darkness.

You can also use petroleum jelly for minor burns or sunburns, minor cuts, on squeaky doors, on dog pads to help repair their pads, put lotion on first then small amount of petroleum jelly so that lotion is locked in and many other uses.

When my kids get common colds, i would rub a little petroleum jelly around their stuffy/ runny noses. It moisturizes the skin and prevent them from drying, chaffing, and redness from blowing their noses and wiping them with tissues.
my dermatologist has told me to use it as a moisturizing cream (because my hands are super dry in the winter)

I agree with everything that you say and I use Vaseline pretty much on a daily basis and I always always use it for my lips and I do use salmon but I also add them up vanilla with it as well that pumps my lips and I don't have to pay $35 for a lipstick that does it and it's all in my cabinet.

I like petroleum jelly for many things, I went to get some a few years ago and found that it had come out in a new cocoa butter! It is great to seal the shower rings inside the shower head filter, does a great job and the new aroma is so nice! I also love the petroleum cocoa butter for my lips, it is real good if your lips get burned from liquids or too much sun. Great protectorate.

I used it when my kids were small o keep cold weather from chapping their little faces. I have used it as a moisturizer under makeup.
