I did that drive once in 2015, left the Bonnie Doon area on tuesday (October 13th} at 7 AM, just me and my better halfs cat. Drove to Sault Saint Marie before I finally got a motel room for an 8 hour sleep. Had an altinater go out an hour out of the Sault and luckily got it repaired in 4 hour and back on the road. Got lost in Montreal for 2 hours in the middle of the night, on to Riviere-du-Loup where I couldn't find the proper highway turnoff, probably due to sleep deprivation, spent an hour trying to find a road map at 6 in the morning. Finally back on the proper road and every milestone got me closer to Hillsborough, so I just kept pushing it. Finally at 1 PM friday afternoon { October 16th) I pulled up to our new home. 3 month later I did the trip again, but this time had a co-pilot and a newer more comfortable vehicle, and took 8 days to drive it. ( January 2016) Woman want to stop and look at everything. 😂😂 Welcome to New Brunswick!!! PS: Graduated from school in Creston BC, then Edmonton for 44 years and I retired in NB, Lisa is still working here in NB.
Yes its an incredible drive, but thats an incredible time to do it alone! 3 days is very fast, glad you made it safe. We both grew up in the Okanagan, so not to far from Creston.
Love the drive with you. I am from Nipigon so I know that highway very well and Love Lake superior but we live in B.C now but still Miss Home in Nipigon and surrounding area.
That's awesome :) we moved from BC where our families still are. Then moved to NB from Alberta. Nipigon was such a beautiful area :)
