    I really felt peacefulness and solitude of this one. Trail is simply fantastic, nicely elaborated trail too.🔥

    Another park that becomes a must visit for us. Great review. I liked your coffee comment. Folks must laugh at me actually. Even when I am in a full service site, I always grind my coffee beans with a hand grinder each morning, and we always use a percolator and usually do it on an outside propane stove. Even when off grid, our power needs are not big. I carry a jackery 500 which is great for charging the "devices" and I have a jackery solar panel to rejuice that up. Other than that some portable solar and 200 amp/hours of battery on the trailer and we are good to go. As always, safe travels....

      That's funny and great setup for power. Happy Camping!

    OMG that view! We are from Vermont and just wondering if they allow generators at provincial parks?

    • @OntarioCamping
      @OntarioCamping ปีที่แล้ว

      This park is not a generator free campground, so yes you can use it, however there is a 'no excessive noise' rule in all parks. So if you are planning to run it a couple times a day, you are likely ok, if you are planning on running it 24/7, I would not suggest it. See the generator section on the following FAQ www.ontarioparks.com/contact

    Thanks for this! We've just changed our mind about camping at this park and will book for next year! How were the mosquitos? Also how was the wind off the river? The description on the Ontario Parks site says these waterfront sites are windy.

      The day we arrived it was pretty windy, but nothing excessive, if anything it kept the bugs away 😀.
      The next day was much calmer and we took the kayak out as it was not windy at all. Definitely book it next year, it's an absolutely beautiful park and area there and we can't wait to go back there!

      Can you swim from your campsite? I mean if I book a campsite Ottawa west which are front of the lake can I swim there or I have to go to the main beach?

      You can certainly swim there, but I recall it being very soft(you will sink in a bit) and lots of branches everywhere

    It is nice however, to note that sometimes during the summer that area experiences very intense winds that you won’t be able to sit out on your campsite, as well, they occasionally have water advisories and you are not able to swim
