Just with new releases alone, I'm averaging around 4 purchases per month and we're heading into the season of big releases. 2023 seems off to a good start as well, judging by yesterday's Direct. Now all we need is some upgraded hardware and I'll be the happiest gamer/collector ever. 🤞🤞
I really like the way you talk about games. 2:59 I know that feeling! I used to not finish main storyline of my favourite games to extend time I spend on other activities. I honestly haven't played many games this year. I was obsessed with Slay the Spire for several months and I got almost all the achievements (I plan to get them all at some point). I replayed some games like Fallout: New Vegas and Fire Emblem: Three Houses. I've most recently got back into Minecraft. I really want to play some of the new games this year (I played a bit of Pokemon: Arceus), but I haven't had much money to spend on games and have been in the process of moving. Once I move and get more money, I want to get games like Kirby, Lego Star Wars, and Fire Emblem: Three Hopes. My brother also got me a PSVR headset, so I want to get some games for that.
Good amount of the games you mentioned I played and beat, it has indeed been a solid year for the switch. Right now I'm looking forward to Splatoon 3, I pre ordered it
Every Fall/Winter I always go back to Skyrim. I also upgraded to the Anniversary Edition on Switch even though I've been playing Skyrim for over a decade now and have never even beaten the main quest let alone the side quests. So I really didn't need to upgrade but now I have even more of an excuse to get lost in Skyrim again. I was playing a ton of Skyrim and I always love getting lost in the world and going around. This time I'm actually following the Thieves Guild which I know is like the most common path that everyone does but I never played it in all my files so I'm trying to stick to the main story a BIT more than I usually do. I tend to run off on so many side quests and forget where I started. I'm also playing Signalis which I really like so far. It's strangely calming to me even though it's a retro styled horror game in the style of Resident Evil and Alien Isolation as if it was made for the PlayStation 1. I'm JUST starting Dying Light Platinum Edition for Switch as I write this comment it's booting up. I also got Diablo II Resurrected on Sale...I remember liking the game more as a kid. I am also finally deleting my old game files from Hades where I have started the game so many times but gotten distracted. So I am starting Hades fresh at the end of December or early January because I think it will look fantastic on OLED. I'm waiting to pick up Pokemon Scarlet or Violet. I originally wanted Violet because I like to pick the game that I think less people will have (usually the 2nd game listed) but it seems that Scarlet is quite a bit less popular than Violet. Hopefully Nintendo will do a REAL fix for the games and if so I'll pick Scarlet up most likely. I loved Arceus so seeing all the coverage of these games and how broken and ugly they can be is a big disappointment. If Nintendo doesn't fix the games it will be a stain on all the companies involved.

For me personally 2022 is the worst/weakest year with Switch. These games/releases are the best: Kirby 3D (the forgotten land) Switch Sports Fall Guys Maybe also Kirby "Party" (Dream Buffet) and Mario+Rabbids 2. 2022 feels like "a lost year". But I got no problems with that. In fact I love it because that gives me a good chance to enjoy all great games that I already have. I'm really looking forward to 2023! Zelda BotW 2! And hopefully more great games. And my biggest dream is Switch 4K/2/Pro or what they will call it 🤩 And congrats to the marriage ❤️❤️
Did you watch the direct? My heart stopped when they announced Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. The original game was my first harvest moon game, but yes it’s rough around the edges and it does need a reboot. Can’t wait! And congratulations on your marriage!
September alone is making my wallet cry with all the high ticket games I want so much (and already picked up lol) but yes, this year as a whole has dropped some of the best so far I'd say - for my taste anyhow heh I was really disappointed in RF4 so haven't tried 5. I started to play Atelier series with Atelier Sophie dx. I really love this game. The last time I really enjoyed a j-rpg so much was Tales of berseria. I have the second one and 2 Atelier Ryza in my collection for now ^^

Honestly maybe I didn't give Rune Factory 4, a fair chance. It was my first Rune Factory game but I just didn't have fun with it. Only played for a week or two and returned it. But now I want to try the series again with an open mind!
