That table looks fantastic, I just bit the bullet and bought a Weber Kettle to add to my collection. This video definitely gives me an idea on what kind of table I need for it. Thanks for posting.
Nice job bro!!! One thing to consider on your next build is on the grill side of the table maybe attaching a hook. On the lid attach an eye bolt so that when the lid is not in use you can hang the lid on the side of the table with it not touching the ground and being completely out of the way but close when needed. Just a suggestion. I did that on my table and I love it. But bro your videos look great and your content is awesome. GREAT JOB!
Very nice! I am doing a double unit for my kamado and one of my 22" Weber kettles. For the casters, I would recommend using threaded inserts and hex bolts instead of 3" wood screws. This allows you to remove the casters and not mess up the threads when you replace the casters (if you ever need to). That Varathane Poly is for interior use only. You really want exterior Spar Urethane for outdoor items, as it provides UV protection and won't crack and peel like poly. If it gets a lot of sun, I would re-apply every year to keep it looking like new.

interesting video. great work. one question, was the gap between the grill and the wood enough to prevent charring and burning of the table, particularly where the wood meets the grill? thanks
Absolutely. In my "Custom BBQ Accessories for my 26 inch Weber Kettle" video I actually take it apart and give some close ups of the wood. There is some "discolorization"... if that is even a word.. but you know what I mean... because of the smoke but no burning.
@@Viewtoagrill will do i got some reclaimed teak that's just begging to be made into a BBQ table. I have just ordered a Napoleon PRO Charcoal Kettle BBQ - 57 cm - PRO22K-LEG-2 once that arrives i can work out the speck for the table. I got some ceramic floor tiles left over from a job so that may be my table top. I was also considering a splash back too to set shelves on but design is in early stages yet , so nothing definite just yet.
Terrific table. If you don't mind my asking, what'd those 5 Ipe boards run you? I live in NE FL, so anything other than pine, red oak and poplar cost as much as a room in Trump Towers. Beautiful table. I am actually building one very similar for my son but was going to use engineered deck boards for the surface. Not sure how they'll fare around the hole perimeter compared to a good hardwood because those types of deck boards have a lot of resin in them as a binder.
I buy them from advantage lumber look them up on the internet. I believe they are out of Florida. They are about 25 dollars each. Also I went with a natural untreated surface that was going to be around food.
I used six 1x6x6 boards for the table top and then I fit as much cabinet space underneath as I could. The table top stands 36 inches from the ground on 8 inch casters so I can move it around the grass easier. Hope that helps a little.oh.. and just use the lid as a template for the hole.

I’ve not had any issues with it yet. However, I do refinish this table once a year. If you look at my accessories for the 26 inch Weber kettle video, you’ll see where I actually open up the table after some use and give a closer look.
Some nice techniques there, always like watching how others work and picking up new ideas. Just after a few answers. - Just curious - what brand tool apron is it your wearing please -
Very nice job. In all honesty I would've raised that bottom shelf especially since it's made of pine. Moisture will damage the underside of it way too soon considering all the time, effort and drill bits....lol. Add a nice handle on the ends to move around and some S hooks for utensils. Love the top as IPE is a very durable and beautiful wood. Used on high end decks $$$. Very nice job and thanks for sharing with us.
Thanks Tom. So far no issues with moisture. I keep my personal table under my covered patio out of the weather. I also apply water shield twice a year and that helps too... wood left out doors will rot and become damaged so I take care of it as well as possible. Take care Tom!
Hello. It is possible if you get it hot enough, but after 5 years of use mine has never fought on fire. Check out my custom made accessories video for the 26 inch Weber kettle. In that video I show what it looks like after a few years of use.
I use the DJI Osmo Pocket. It connects to your phone or iPad where you can then control all of its features plus you can see exactly what it looks like in the frame before you start filming. It is in the link below.
Those clips actually slide in a gap around that ring on the kettle so there’s no need for bolts. Just kind of feel under the lip that the lid sits on (or look) and you can feel what I’m talking about. Thanks for watching and take care. If you make a table send me a picture and I will post it on my community page.

Hello Nick. It has not gotten hot enough to catch the wood on fire. I get asked this question a lot... so I actually take the kettle out and show it in my ‘Custom accessories for the 26 inch kettle’ video I posted several months ago. Check that video out to see what it looks like with the kettle out.
Hello Mike. The wood holds up well. I actually have a video where I take the Weber out and show you. Check out my Custom BBQ Accessories for my 26 inch Weber Kettle video.
How much would a table with webers grill on each end cost with room in the middle for a small 22 gas griddle cost..i live in Houston n look to have one made
Hey Reynaldo. That sounds like an awesome table. Using the same material , the same kettle and the BlackStone 22.... would be about 500 with taxes.. material.. 300-400.......so if you do it yourself 800-900 ... and a weekend of your time. If you got less expensive wood like pine instead of ipe you could save around 75. Take care.
That’s a great looking table!! Do you have a materials list for the lumber, lengths ,and widths? You also had a for sale label. If it was for sale what price would you be looking for?
The stain is holing well. Check out my latest video... Twice grilled potatoes. You can see it in that video. Also, in my chimney starter video you can see a shot where the smoke has stained the wood a little. That table is about a year and a half old and I plan on refinishing it soon.
Question relating to the 8 L-brackets that the kettle is mounted to. Any issues with the kettle rotating or spinning when using the ash sweeper since the kettle is just resting on these brackets?
Hello Bryan. On this table using 8 brackets I do not have an issue with it turning, the friction keeps it right in place. On my rounded table(in another video) I only used 4... and that one did turn, so I added two more brackets and that fixed it. In the other video I also found if you use the lid as a template it works out perfectly.
@@bryanjarecky2837 send me a picture when you are done so I can post it on my community TH-cam page. If you have not looked at my community page go take a look at the other tables that were inspired by my video.
Hi, 1 question did you drill or rivet the L brackets? just building an outdoor bbq kitchen, love your video helpful for me to fit the weber into my worktops. thanks 👍 😊

@@Viewtoagrill Thanks for the reply and clarification! I put together a design over the weekend similar to yours and bought supplies; going to put something together for the future father-in-law for Father's Day. Hopefully it turns out!
That level of Weber kettle I believe is about $170.... materials for that table last year around $250... most of the cost are the casters and ipe wood.
These are 1 1/2 inch L brackets. If you want it to sit up a little higher, go with the 2 inch... I would not go lower than the 1 1/2 niche though, your boards are 3/4 inch, I think the 1 inch brackets would leave the pit too close to the table.

@@Viewtoagrill I will Johnny thank you again for sharing your talents!
Nice bbq table DIY
Thank you!
Wondering if the wood around the grill get burned easily?
The wood does not get burned at all... it does get stained from the smoke around the Perimeter of the grill. You can see what this would look like after about two years in one fo my grilling videos. I use a larger one for my 26 inch kettle. Thanks for watching and welcome to my channel.
Great craftsmanship there!! Awesome video buddy.. Keep up the good work
I appreciate it. Love this table... the one I built for myself is for the 26 inch kettle. Thanks for watching!
I'm curious how it aged. Can you post its current state. Awesome work. Great Vid!
I actually sold this one. But you can see my personal table for the 26 inch kettle in any of my grilling recipes videos... I think the Weber connect brisket is the newest. That table is 2 years old and it still looks fantastic... now you must know that it has NEVER been in the open weather... I keep it under the roof of my patio. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy my channel.
Awesome build. Proper!
Thanks!
interesting video. great work. one question, was the gap between the grill and the wood enough to prevent charring and burning of the table, particularly where the wood meets the grill? thanks
Absolutely. In my "Custom BBQ Accessories for my 26 inch Weber Kettle" video I actually take it apart and give some close ups of the wood. There is some "discolorization"... if that is even a word.. but you know what I mean... because of the smoke but no burning.
@@Viewtoagrill thanks for the reply. keep the videos comin'!
If you're not selling, any chance you can make plans available? even for a nominal fee?
Hello William. I do not have plans, only the measurements at the end of the video. I really just got this together as I went along.
great job. gonna build one myself or similar. Thanks for the inspiration
Awesome! Send me a pic and I will post it on my TH-cam community page.
Awesome, I wish I had that much outdoor counter space.
Thanks Dave. It is nice to have some counter space when grilling. Thanks for watching!
Great work! Any chance you have the dimensions for the 26.75 table you built?
I used six 1x6x6 boards for the table top and then I fit as much cabinet space underneath as I could. The table top stands 36 inches from the ground on 8 inch casters so I can move it around the grass easier. Hope that helps a little.oh.. and just use the lid as a template for the hole.
Can you give me a link to the hooks you used inside the circle (that hold the Weber in place)?
Thanks for watching Alex. amzn.to/3i0h05x

Was the polyurethane ok with the heat from the Webber grill?
I’ve not had any issues with it yet. However, I do refinish this table once a year. If you look at my accessories for the 26 inch Weber kettle video, you’ll see where I actually open up the table after some use and give a closer look.
Some nice techniques there, always like watching how others work and picking up new ideas.
Just after a few answers.
- Just curious - what brand tool apron is it your wearing please -
That is the Atlas 46 vest... and I love it!... a little pricey, but awesome.
do you have a step by step and measurments
Michael I do not. The table top is 6ft and then I fit everything to that. I just scribed everything as I went.
Is the grill level with kettle handle still attached?
Yes the handle is still on. It actually rests on the table.
Since you're no longer selling, are there building plans for this great table?
Hello Paul. I do not have plans but I do show the measurements at the end of the video.
@@Viewtoagrill thank you!
What type of wood did you use for the top part?
Ipe.
Hi, ¿
what piece do you put as the base of the grill?
Those are L brackets. You can see them at 22:52.
What router is that? Im impressed with it's dust collection.
That is a dewalt.. and I have my shop vac hooked up to it.
Hi i have question. Would the wood get so hot that it burn? Do you spray heat resistant paint around it or it wont burn at all?
Hello. It is possible if you get it hot enough, but after 5 years of use mine has never fought on fire. Check out my custom made accessories video for the 26 inch Weber kettle. In that video I show what it looks like after a few years of use.
@@Viewtoagrill OK I saw it, you used a lava lock gasket around the rim. Not sure if I can find them in Australia. Thanks, good stuff! Got to try!
What are you using for a camera? Is it linked to your phone? Or are you streaming to a computer then just watching it on your phone?
I use the DJI Osmo Pocket. It connects to your phone or iPad where you can then control all of its features plus you can see exactly what it looks like in the frame before you start filming. It is in the link below.
Looks amazing with yout work what are you trying to start with ?
Thank you. The wood is ipe.
Did you bolt or just leave the kettle loose on the clips
Those clips actually slide in a gap around that ring on the kettle so there’s no need for bolts. Just kind of feel under the lip that the lid sits on (or look) and you can feel what I’m talking about. Thanks for watching and take care. If you make a table send me a picture and I will post it on my community page.
That’s amazing and such a great looking table you are blessed with great skills. I just bought this grill and would be interested in a table like this for my grill I went to you about you page no email and it just had your first name looking to get info to purchase one if you still make them I live in Texas.
Conrado, My email address is viewtoagrill@outlook.com. Feel free to email me anytime. Take care.
Do you recall what size L bracket you used?
1 1/2 inch
This is excellent and useful. Thank you.
Thank you. I appreciate that. Take care.
would the heat affect the wood in any way? i.e. catch alight?
Hello Nick. It has not gotten hot enough to catch the wood on fire. I get asked this question a lot... so I actually take the kettle out and show it in my ‘Custom accessories for the 26 inch kettle’ video I posted several months ago. Check that video out to see what it looks like with the kettle out.
Any special reason you went with 1X4 boards for the top shelf frame, instead of using 2X4’s like what was used for the bottom shelf frame?
Hello Steve. No special reason. I had some in the garage and had to use it.
@@Viewtoagrill thanks, nice job ya did there.
@@stevenwhite247 Thanks Steven.
Nice project! By the way, how’s the wood holding up by heat of the grill?
I do not have a material list. I did show some measurements at the end of the video. Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoy my channel.
That's n awesome BBQ DIY. Great job my friend!
Thanks Nataly!
Awesome looking table! How is the stain and finish holding up to the heat of the kettle?
@@Viewtoagrill Thank for the quick reply! Very helpful to know as I try to build one as well. Thank you again!
@@bryanjarecky2837 send me a picture when you are done so I can post it on my community TH-cam page. If you have not looked at my community page go take a look at the other tables that were inspired by my video.
Hi, 1 question did you drill or rivet the L brackets? just building an outdoor bbq kitchen, love your video helpful for me to fit the weber into my worktops. thanks 👍 😊
The L brackets fit under the rolled lip of the Weber. No drilling or riveting.
What was the purpose of the polyurethane final coats? Just for shine? Stain resistance?
Hello Mike! It is for moisture protection, stain resistance and shine. No beer bottle rings on the table, spilled liquids beed up, makes clean up easier... that sort of thing... extra protection. Thanks for watching!
@@Viewtoagrill Thanks for the reply and clarification! I put together a design over the weekend similar to yours and bought supplies; going to put something together for the future father-in-law for Father's Day. Hopefully it turns out!
@@mikecook568 you HAVE to email me a picture of it and I will post it to my community board! Take care and good luck with it!
great work, if you don't mind me asking, what were your costs for the wood and grill? thanks in advance
That level of Weber kettle I believe is about $170.... materials for that table last year around $250... most of the cost are the casters and ipe wood.
@@Viewtoagrill Thanks! the video was awesome!
As usual, Johnny comes through. Love his videos, because they are clear, concise, quick. Found him a while back and immediately subscribed.

You mentioned that you got the L brackets at Home Depot. What size brackets? Thank you.
These are 1 1/2 inch L brackets. If you want it to sit up a little higher, go with the 2 inch... I would not go lower than the 1 1/2 niche though, your boards are 3/4 inch, I think the 1 inch brackets would leave the pit too close to the table.
