When using the heat ring stone. How much space is there from the from the top of the stone to the top of the lower bowl? I intend to use a lid hinge on the Weber and need at least 2-3/8" clearance.
You could build this using some knock down fasteners, like bed rail fasteners. It will cost more and take more time and skill to build it, but it will be easier to transport to a site and a breeze to setup. You also may need to alter the plans some to accommodate the fasteners. I think I will build one. It would be simple to design and build, but I won't post it on video because I don't have the body for it. haha

The lip of the grill rests on the bracket. my fits tight and it's easy to remove when I need to clean it.
so Amanda i watched a few of these video when it started cause they popped up on my wood working youtube feed, but kinda quickly moved on to more advanced videos. That being said i recently saw your video with fan letters and it was so funny that i watched the rest of your videos, also your comment section is some comedy gold also. im a woodworking apprentice professionally and im surprised you haven't reached out to kreg jig for sponsorship cause you do almost exclusively pocket hole projects. They are simple to build but can you do real serious woodworking? dovetail joints? dados? rabbits? and i dont think ive seen you do any finishing work. i wanna know how to build a dovetailed box/ Bluetooth speaker with stain and lacquer on it. or some sort of slightly more advanced project please :). keep it up though and way to roll with the punches on that fan mail video. i liked the tail gate edition stuff so far as well.
my advise is, keep watching. you are learning something. If Amanda builds a doghouse, pay attention, build one in case your wife puts you outside. sweet dreams.

You don't really need plans. Just take notes on the basic construction, then fill in the details. This way you can customize it to your own liking , just make sure you create a drawing and a cut list. Start with the overall dimensions, and go from there.
