It was only in my 10th year (and several companies later) that I met a mentor who drilled in me to condition myself to never use "uhhh" "um" especially "uhh" though. Record yourself if you can and train to remove those awful words- you will sound better, more pleasant, more firm, more confident, and more engaging, and THAT is what creates trust and relationships😻 Listen, then reply with confidence 😻

It brings me back to learning from machinists as a young apprentice. I'd sit there for hours listening and watching and they loved to teach. Good years of my life.

That would be amazing. I’ve had 3 made - 2 in Singapore and 1 in Seoul. The one in Seoul was a pretty fancy place and think they knew their stuff... but this guy is on another level. But a suit that fits perfectly is a pretty sweet experience.
John James needles are wonderful to work with. I break with tradition by wearing the thimble on my ring finger since thats the finger I actually push with. I like how he explains about the threads. Most people don't know about that. Years of experience dropping gems of knowledge here.
This is just amazing and Andrew is truly a gifted master and what he does. I can listen to him all day I just wish he would make more videos and show us some more of his great work even though i will most likely never be able to afford one of his creations I still love to see and his work and dream about it when i seen it.

In my opinion such trades appeal to those who are very methodical and practical, yet have an underlying need for artistic expression.
I love seeing someone exhibit top tier efficiency and class. There is something so satisfying about watching and listening to a high quality professional explain and demonstrate that which they are proficient at.

I actually learned to sew a button on to a shirt about a year ago from a TH-cam video. I am 45 years old so better late than never. My mom tried to teach me when I was a teenager.

It's always been a dream of mine to have a bespoke suit made for me. Although I may never get the chance, I still love watching and learning all the nuances that come with bespoke tailoring.
Seems there's also a high level of numeration and numerical precision that goes into making a suit or a bespoke garment. Makes it that much more fascinating to me, as a lover of math.
Excellent artist and craftsmen like this tend to have this calm demeanor as they are trying to be informative but they are also confident in their skills and knowledge. When you know what you are doing and you love what you do you can be real calm about talking about the thing you do. He reminds me of Bob Ross a bit in this way. The interviewer is so relaxed right now I am sure they are struggling to remember what is being said.
