    Wish I could've been there for the live premiere but my AC broke and I needed to meet with the service guy! Once again major thanks to Luvin Arms peeps for making this happen and they worked really hard on this so special thanks to John, Emma, and Shartrina!! Can't wait to make more films in the future and I am planning on making a sort of sci-fi allegory short film next!

      Take heart! We are making progress toward ending this cruel industry. The dairy industry is on the decline due to the power of changing consumer choice. "Borden Dairy filed for bankruptcy Sunday, becoming the second major milk producer in as many months to seek Chapter 11 protection.
      Dean Foods, the nation’s largest milk producer, filed for bankruptcy protection in November. From major corporations to small farmers, milk processors are seeing their margins pinched as wholesale milk costs climb and consumers gravitate to dairy-free options such as almond, soy and oat beverages."-Washington Post (Title, etc follows-

    I remember how shocked I was when I, as a vegetarian, found out how cruel the dairy industry was for the animals within it.Whether you’re going for health or whether you’re going for ethics you will find that even that kind and feeling dairy farmers are engaged in exploitation that is inhumane for the animals.

    • @v.a.n.e.
      @v.a.n.e. 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      life is inhumane. it would be ideal if we could live like plants, which I guess is a final goal for some of you, but unfortunately, it is not feasible. until science develops other sources of sufficiently cheap and nutritious food, we will have to rely on the exploitation of animals and plants.

      Please come visit and watch me hand milk my cows. Their babies are on site and mamas willingly share with my family. In exchange for their delicious and superbly nourishing milk, we provide food, shelter, brushes & rubs, and protection from predators. As a recovering vegan I once wrote an ethics paper positing that the modern dairy industry is less humane than beef. But the way to end these heinous big ag "farming" operations that you & I both abhor is not by demonising those practicing proper animal husbandry. I will never be vegan again, but will do everything in my power to stay healthy for my grandchildren for another 50+ years. I hope we can work together.

      maybe you should make a video about it. I would definitely like to see how you treat your animals. one thing is particularly irritating. everyone is working to eliminate the small producer, as though the ultimate goal is to prevent the average man from being able to grow his own food, whether it is of animal or plant origin. this is to achieve complete dependence and absolute control

    • @hayleymeagan1014

      @@v.a.n.e. that is exactly what they're doing, and veganism is one of their weapons. I probably won't make a video, but there are loads of homesteaders on YT sharing their dairy practices, some more old school traditional and gentle than others. One of our cows just stands to milk, the other is on a halter, tied because she dances all over the place, but no less humane than a dog on a leash. They both come for their alfalfa treats every morning without being called :)

    I'm a vegetarian and I'm sobbing right now. I didn't know half of the things you touched on. I can't believe I've been paying for this for so long. The part about how lonely calves get without their mothers/friends/etc made me start sobbing because I know how sad I get being lonely even though I'm surrounded by people, to imagine living my life in a confined space with literally no one but your abusers is horrific. And as a woman imagining getting r*ped and having to be pregnant for my whole life then die prematurely is disgusting. I've tried to go vegan a few times and idk why I go back to dairy everytime. With this new information I'm going vegan right now and it's my resolution for 2023.

      Small farmers are good to their cows. Most cows overproduce milk coz many breeds were bred to do so. You have to milk them or their udders get swollen. Morning milk is for calves while rest is for humans. They are free to graze on meadows. In nature predators would kill some calves and old specimens. But big farms don't let them have space to socialize. They are as show in the video.

      Mike kind of has to post what he makes on his platform, though. It just so happens that most of us who follow him on this platform are already vegans.
      BUT it's priceless that he does it. You never know who you can happen to influence. Even if just 5 non-vegans are influenced by this video, that has a potentially limitless impact.
      Also, this video has inspired me personally to advocate more and harder for animals :)
      I think it's vital for us to never feel like what we do is in vain. We must never assume "nobody will see this" or "nobody will care", because there are always some who will.

      Innovative? Appealing to emotions through blatant lies supported by exposing the most heinous big ag dairy practices, while denying gentle, age old farming methods is nothing new. I was programmed in this exact manner in the 80's. I have since healed, and now have my own cows who share their milk with my family and their calves, happily and willingly. In exchange, they are fed, sheltered, protected from predators, and loved. What exactly is the goal here? Human malnourishment & infertility?

    • @Goodthoughtlol
      @Goodthoughtlol 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hayleymeagan1014 I think you are living in your own bubble. Try travelling to third world countries and see how factory farming works.
      If the whole world switches to your style of gentle farming we will need huge amount of extra farming lands.
      Especially country with huge population and less area. So why don't you get off your milk addiction and admit that you are just addicted to milk.
      Nourishment?? More like breast cancer. But yea since you will continue to live in your own addiction bubble keep justifying your thoughts.

    Very well done, the cuddle breaks and such did help get through the other parts. I simply do not understand how anyone could treat babies like that, I do not understand how others cannot see it as wrong to take babies from mothers. It is very upsetting to me that we could treat any female this way let alone baby boys as merely food. I'm vegan and I love our Earth, it saddens me as a species how we cannot seem to love our fellow siblings of this Earth. Most mammals love and care, long for, and need their families. I'm sad and mystified sometimes by our own species who seem to think we are so special. We are mammals like any other, we should respect our fellow siblings and respect their right to live.

    I usually avoid films like these. It's too much for me. I know local dairy farmers in my village here. They don't live in "factories" like shown here, and they are not treated badly. But ... they are still used and killed when they can't give much milk anymore. We're surrounded buy fields here. Guess what's on them! Soy! And this year, after the extreme drought, they say there will be a food crisis, but these crops are not grown to feed us humans directly, but to feed animals whose bodies and milk we're supposed to eat. It makes no sense.

      If we were not brainwashed, we would not put up with this. We do not think about any of it.
      Some watch this and are not moved to change, so the some who are brainwashed become advocates for the very thing we now see as abhorrent.
      No one would put being brainwashed on their bucket list. Once one realizes that this is true, it then becomes reasonable to realize that this is just one part of the brainwashing. It is not a pleasant realization.
      What do you do then? One has to begin to remake ourselves and look at alternative points of view and then weigh the evidence for ourselves.

    Thank you so much for making this very important film beautiful friends. I saw Earthlings 10 years ago and transitioned into an ethical life, but watching the horrors of the dairy industry shatters everything inside you every time. A woman stealing a baby from his/her mother, throwing him in a cement trolley and dragging mother and baby a part is an unbelievable, most evil angering thing to see!! 💔💔😡 Greed has made total vile monsters of ‘humans’
    Thank you Mic for the moments of joy and happiness and to all the wonderful people introducing to us the precious individuals who were rescued.
    I wish I was always vegan and I won’t ever forgive myself for every precious individual I am responsible for taking their life, but I’m so thankful I found out when I did and started living in alignment with who I am in my heart. Like we don’t have a right to take human life we don’t have any right taking non human lives. We are all alive with our families and we want to live happy peaceful lives away from abuse and we don’t want someone taking our lives!
    Living a life free of cruelty and violence is one of the most sacred beautiful things you can do.
    Live Vegan for animals’ rights.

      @@anthonyharris3193 you don't know people's trauma. PTSD is extremely difficult to deal with and it comes from a variety of different situations. Violence or witnessing violence of any kind can give people PTSD and seeing any type of violence can trigger someone suffering with PTSD. Just because they are seeing it done to a different species doesn't mean that their PTSD from domestic violence isn't triggered. You really don't understand PTSD and you are lacking in compassion for your fellow human. I watched this to boost them in the algorithm despite being vegan and I do have PTSD from things that I will not discuss. If this video had uncensored violence I may not have been able to watch it. My suggestion ( not necessarily to you Mic) is that someone make a major motion picture. The story is that an advanced civilization from another close planet comes to visit. The premise is that according to their "holy scripture" they have dominion and are allowed to eat all creatures on their planet and others. They fall in LOVE with human meat and that is where I will leave it. It will be up to Hollywood to show how they farm the humans for milk/meat etc. and also their tastiest treat, human veal from newborns. Sure there are many other things the movie can include or build on that. I think this could possibly get people to really think about their arguments for how animals are "farmed".

      your suggestion is intriguing for a number of factors. one of them is the fact that even highly developed civilizations require meat consumption. the other chief factor is likely that they would conclude that there is a group of people on earth who do not eat meat and thus, as a result, they are presumably less intelligent. although not extremely original, I believe that your suggestion might result in scandalous conclusions

Telling people that certain foods like milk are not "necessary" or are "unnatural" is extremely dumb. Oranges and bread are also "unnecessary". Cashew yogurt is "natural"? "natural" and "artificial" food is a made up useless notion. Any cat will gleefully lap up cow's milk. Please use your brain.

I don't mind watching carrots get harvested and cut up 😅 but most people would never want to watch the same process for animal products. Hopefully this serves as a good intro if they haven't seen any graphic footage, so that they can go watch Dominion or something else next if they want something more detailed as far as the visual brutality goes.

    I had never heard about casomorphin, so I looked it up. The German PETA site tried to sum up evidence - and it is very weak, it seems. Do you have any newer evidence (the article is from 2019) in favor of the addictive properties of casomorphin in an adult body?

    • @Dolfadactyl
      @Dolfadactyl 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, it is undeniably rising!!! The supply and demand for animal products is shrinking. People now have more knowledge about where their food comes from. When you know about these industries, it is difficult to partake!!!

      @@Dolfadactyl "Non-vegetarians have increased their chicken consumption to twice a week on average from once in 10 days earlier as they look to increase protein intake amid a third wave of Covid-19, trade insiders have said. Demand for other protein-rich food items such as pulses and value-added meat products like chicken nuggets, sausages, and salami has also surged since December end as a high-protein diet is recommended to speed up recovery from Covid-19 infection and to boost immunity, they said."

    The extreme and intense suffering for each individual is unconscionable. Multiply that 500 to 800 million per year and the pure scale of this intense suffering caused by us humans must make us one of nature's mistakes. In Gaia theory does the earth have a terminal case of humans? Hoe did we become so disconnected from our life source?

    • @Dolfadactyl

      80 billion land animals are slaughtered every year. When you include fish, it jumps to the trillions. Truly (as you said) unconscionable...

      @@Dolfadactyl That figure is just dairy calves separated from their mothers. The statistics on our destruction and cruelty are at really fucking insane and extreme levels. How anyone who knows them can continue to exploit animals and our planet for the profiteering corporatocracy is an extraordinary feat of denial. Literally cutting off your nose to spite your face.

      Plant based news posted this. Probably nothing most vegans don't know already. Loaded with statistics that are soooo scary, you might just want to forget. I always find it interesting that when people become move towards meat reduction/vegetarian/vegan, often seafood and fish are the last to go. I was vegetarian for many years before going vegan and many people just assumed I ate fish. I knew a lot of people who ate fish and called themselves vegetarian. I remember going on a group skiing holiday to France...one of the most difficult places in the world to be vegetarian. They assured me they could cater for my diet. Every day the chef "forgot " and got served the same luke warm ratatouille. Then one meal they were so pleased with themselves as the proudly served me a fish dish.
      But the destruction of the seas in our pursuit of flesh is actually one of the worst things we do. All land life is still dependent on the seas, and if they die we are all fucked

    Thanks again mic great job.
    I understand cheese is addicting and the alternatives are no good and just as expensive as the real thing or alot more.
    but I'm starting to hav a hard time not getting mad on the inside about so many people I love turning the blind eye pretending like it doesn't happen here because they see cows In the field when that's a small number of them that get to graze for a while.
    I feel like there's alot of info on this but I'm thinking docs like this should be forced on kids in school I hate to say it because when Givin the option most people will turn it off in 2 seconds not being able to handle it or live with them selves.
    My cheese tho.
    I feel like alot of kids would go home refusing to eat it and alot of parents would buckle decreasing dairy demands.
    Yes alot would say eat it or starve and how could you expose my child to that.
    I accept that people will always consume dairy I just hope the industry becomes so small that it's a luxury of the elite same with meat.
    And yes I feel for the farmers and am not judging them all.
