When I was a kid, I thought Guyver is an anime about monsters fighting other monsters. Now I see that Guyver is an anime about futility of fighting against an international conglomerate that controls Earth's government from the shadows.
The funny thing is when on episode 5 that when Enzyme was going to kill Sho/Guyver 1, it broke my heart plus it also gave me nightmares as well bc I was just a kid watching the show & now I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT with the violence, blood, gore & strong language as well. I watch it ALL THE TIME & I’ve got the live version of the show in the movie that has Mark Hamill that played as Luke Skywalker & it’s the “Director’s Cut Version”
For all those who ask how guyver suddenly becomes stronger than the guys who previously beat him, it’s because his body limiters aren’t active. Like in zombie movies, zombies are stronger because they don’t think about getting hurt, or how strong they are, they just go after their objective no matter what it costs.
The reason why the Guyvers are strong because it's a bio booster armor which means it boosts the capabilities of its host it was originally meant for zoanoids but when the Guyver 0 (human host) when host and never became that, also if the if the host was unconscious the control medal will take over and it will be an unstopping killing machine there'll be no hesitation ,no fear not even told to hyper zoanoid like enzyme or even Archafel.
This was always my favorite episode. When I was little I always thought it was badass how guyver 1 resurrected and how him and guyver 3 worked together to stop chronos. Amazing action and storytelling in this 30min episode 🔥

I haven't seen all the episodes yet and i'm just now getting introduced to the series. Sho's unit was pulled out from his head killing him. But the unit I guess copied stored copies of his DNA and restored his body completely because it wasn't damaged at all or adversely like the way Lisker's was.
Essentially that's correct. As long as the control medal is intact, it can completely reconstruct its host body from whatever DNA is left on its fibers. Since the control medal connects directly to the host's brain, it copies and stores the mind and memories of the host up until the moment they were killed, hence Sho's confusion when he regained consciousness.
"Take my life and kill Guyver" and "Commander...we are sworn to you on to death" - at these moments my eyes are watering...))) Both sides - evil and goodness i like in this story )))

For those that haven't read the manga the reason why "The Creators" (Advents) left earth it's not because of reasons unknown it's because when the first Guyver when rogue after telling the human host to deactivate the armor it damaged wanted the ships with its head laser and the zoanoids when the attack and were killed and zoalord Archafel wanted to stop himself but the Advents were afraid he'll be killed and no defense for him or themselves and give the Guyver Remover (at close range) it deactivated the armor and killed it's host and reported to the federation and reported back to destroy the planet with a meteor (bigger than the one they use to killed most to all the dinosaurs,because they were considered failure unsuitable for combat because they of there intelligence) and not to tell Archafel and when Archafel followed the ships and they use a psychic attack to keep him on the planet when they was going to destroy it and he used every ounce of his abilities to destroy the comment which he did in the created the new Ice Age and he slipped into a deep sleep because he used up his energy human survived and they build a temple which he slept in the damaged ship that they built the temple over and centuries later on he along with 11 to 13 other Zoalords and newer zoanoids founded Cronos.
This episode at the end breaks my heart that it doesn't have the original opening song for the final battle, this is my all time favorite series of all time manga and all, I know all the episodes perfectly and remember every line of dialog from every episode from the original voicing basically the original ova that was by US renditions, I watched each of those episodes over 100 times, sadly I can't find the original online anywhere

Either that or he would have bled to death with no optimization tanks still operative in Chronos Japan. Zoanoids and hyper zoanoids especially have greater durability and regeneration than normal humans but only those specialized in regeneration would be able to survive a sonic buster to the face. Derzerb being a hyper zoanoid processed before the advent of the guyvers would not have been given the traits to counter their abilities. The sonic buster takes time to do damage but it's end result is equivalent to those struck by the hi frequency swords on a guyver's elbow. The OVA showed Derzerb holding out against an unconscious guyver for a moment until he was struck with the sonic buster. After that, it appeared that Derzerb was unable to put up any resistance at all which implies that he lost control of his muscles. This hints that Derzerb received extensive brain damage from Guyver 1's attack. Either way, Derzerb is certainly dead.
That suit with a Barret m82a1 from back in the 80s would be dope since the suit's enhanced strength would compensate the weapon's weight and recoil. not to mention the 50bmg ammo's heft and if it were me getting attacked by alien mutants with pressurized acid blood(last episode) I'd want a big fucking bullet to turn it's torso inside out in one shot far enough away so that I don't get no molten shower.
Has anyone ever noticed one of the mistakes in this episode ? How are their zoanoid bodies lying around ? The decompose as soon as they die, do u think the animators or writers forgot bout that ? Lol
segewa hmm possible but I don't see y they would b test pieces the bodies are of gregols ramoliths etc all basic zoanoids none of them experimental or test subjects I can understand maybe elegen not decomposing bein a hyper zoanoid but the rest I think we're a mistake on the animators part lol
One can make up any fan theory one wants, but I like to think that perhaps Zoanoids take a pill or injection of something as a precaution for when they go out on missions. If they get killed, the drug they took facilitates quick decomposition. Since most, if not all, of the Zoanoids in Headquarters were not expecting to go out that day, they had not taken their drugs and therefore, their bodies decomposed at a slower rate. So, why not simply biologically "program" the Zoanoids to decompose quickly on their own, without the use of drugs? Assuming they had the ability to do this, there is a good reason to not want rapid dissolution to be automatic: Analysis of the dead. Chronos is a company that is deeply concerned with scientific research. If a new Zoanoid fails, it is important to know why. What worked, what didn't. A bubbling, steaming, puddle of goo does not tell you much. So when the Zoanoids were tested (and sometimes fatally, as we know from Guyver II) they could have bodies upon which to conduct proper autopsies.
awesome thanks for uploading, i recntly bought a bootleg but knowing a bootleg BLUE RAY restored DVD of the entire 12 epiosdes PERFECT clear crystal quality BUT they didn provide the Japanese audio so no SONGS when you press the audio button on the remote as you can with my 2002 Licesned DVD set 2 disk set ;)
It's a bit of a shame that they "offed" Team 5 this early into the story, but I suppose manga wasn't ready for it to be properly adapted yet. Rarely do we see such comradery and brotherhood between bad guys. I really liked how in newer adaptation they showed Zxtol carrying the memory of his brothers within himself.
Honestly? I've always preferred the OVA to the manga and one of the main reasons for that is how Team 5 is portrayed. In this version of the story, we get to see Zektol and his comrades fight the Guyvers to the finish and the resulting showdown is nothing less than epic. Compare that to the manga where the good guys encounter them briefly while fleeing Mount Minakami and afterward, their main contribution to the plot is that Apom picks them off one after another.
the same reason why the current hulk will never be as strong as banner's hulk. he thinks things through, he doubts his abilities, and is squeamish about violence. the control metal has none of those inhibitions to hold him back
thats because Sho was not in controll of the Guyver bio armror it had just regenerated and was in self presavation mode the controll metal in dictating his actions
So the Guyver has swords guns, sort of, and can fully regenerate from nearly nothing... All he needs is a red and black paint job and a smart ass attitude and we'll have guyverpool
ArcticKaiju how can u even say the 2005 series is better ? The only thing that is better about it is there are more episodes other than that the music action and connection to the characters is so much greater in this series.

awesome thanks for uploading, i recntly bought a bootleg but knowing a bootleg BLUE RAY restored DVD of the entire 12 epiosdes PERFECT clear crystal quality BUT they didn provide the Japanese audio so no SONGS when you press the audio button on the remote as you can with my 2002 Licesned DVD set 2 disk set ;)
It's a bit of a shame that they "offed" Team 5 this early into the story, but I suppose manga wasn't ready for it to be properly adapted yet.
Rarely do we see such comradery and brotherhood between bad guys.
I really liked how in newer adaptation they showed Zxtol carrying the memory of his brothers within himself.
Honestly? I've always preferred the OVA to the manga and one of the main reasons for that is how Team 5 is portrayed.
In this version of the story, we get to see Zektol and his comrades fight the Guyvers to the finish and the resulting showdown is nothing less than epic. Compare that to the manga where the good guys encounter them briefly while fleeing Mount Minakami and afterward, their main contribution to the plot is that Apom picks them off one after another.
how was sho able to outmuscle derzerb in this episode but in the fourth one derzerb kicked his ss completly ?
because it isn't sho fighting, the guyver takes over him in this episode
does he become alot stronger when the armour goes to defence mode? i know when the guyver takes over he feels no fear pain or remorse etc
yeah i guess he does
the same reason why the current hulk will never be as strong as banner's hulk. he thinks things through, he doubts his abilities, and is squeamish about violence. the control metal has none of those inhibitions to hold him back
thats because Sho was not in controll of the Guyver bio armror it had just regenerated and was in self presavation mode the controll metal in dictating his actions
This dub cut out the song that starts playing when guyver 1 and 3 battle together at the end. I wonder why

This is why I like the 2005 version just *that* much better.
ArcticKaiju how can u even say the 2005 series is better ? The only thing that is better about it is there are more episodes other than that the music action and connection to the characters is so much greater in this series.
@@Ginge907 The 2005 series was more faithful to the manga, but missed a few beats when it came to the drama and the violence. It failed to capture the atmosphere of tension and tragedy that the 1989 series had, plus it had a mediocre soundtrack (except for the opening theme).
The actors are better than the 2005 Guyer anime. The details and soundtracks are better and more entertaining to watch.

at first he is saying "zoanoids are superior to humans.......your kind are merely fossils"......then not even a minute later he says "all humans are zoanoids"........if all humans have a dormant zoanoid inside, then why don't we just all become zoanoids and have world peace without ever having to go to the gym again?
