I remember going to Chinatown in the early seventies as a toddler. All the Toishan old man rarely seen toddlers back then bc of the Chinese exclusion act. They would let me run around the cha tang and let eat any egg tarts I wanted.

Enjoy listening to your escapades. They remind me of a very similar lifestyle spanning over 40 years from the mid 60s here in the West coast. Don't know how or why we survived and others didn't. True brotherhood lasts beyond what side of the law your job lies.

Moy , I am your super Fan , I love all the stories you guys shared , especially this one awesome . and I very want to join NYPD to follow your footstep but shame on NY, there is a age discrimination in here, I am just 36 years old , and I am disqualified for over-age just 1 year older . NYPD cap the age in 35 year old. I very want to serve our community and help Chinese people . LAPD has no age limit, many police departments has no age limit, only NY does. shame on it . I am 36 years old , I am not old , 36 is a golden age, I am energetic. but my law enforcement dream is dead. unfortunately , I can't leave NYC to go to other cities to join the PD. sigh, life sucks ! Moy. 💔
Have you tried Port Authority, TBTA, MTA Police, State Trooper?
@@chinatowngangstories They all have age limit. TBTA not hiring anymore due to the TOLL machine kill this position. I only want to join NYPD. I knew someone who works in TD34 , he said transit is very easy and enjoyable compare to precincts and housing. Can you run for state senator ? speak up our voices out loud to them , there are ton of people over age want to join NYPD , we have heart to serve and make the change out of the department. we are helpless, no one bring up this issue, I been emailed to some state senator and assmbly , no one speak about this . sigh , no hope. why?? NYPD is in short nowadays , thousands NYPD police are leaving and resign, why not giving us a chance to join. the people just over age. the politician are dumb . very disappointed, our votes are useless.
