I think the circumspection and discretion dilutes the effect unlike soft white underbelly.
Also, I don't understand the language in this video. I think Chinese don't understand the criminal justice whereas the black community think they know everything eg schizophrenia is a common defense and most press glosses over the malingering diagnosis against that claim so new would be evaders think oh I can push another Michelle Go and I Won't even go to trial.
How is it possible so many schizophrenics hurt others fatally but not themselves? I think NYC is one of those places that gives black and white killers a pass and Chinese victims families are so unfamiliar with the criminal justice system that they don't even know what to do so if the system sends Glenn Hirsch home, who cares what Chinese families think or feel?
Maybe when the victim is white and portrayed in a movie like Mari Gilbert, then her black daughter gets her appeal denied for stabbing her mother
      227 times.
But how many criminals are getting a pass for nonwhite Chinese girls like Michelle Go?
We are victims of racist hypocrites. They would never have done what they did to my family if we were black or Jewish. The fact is people just don't want racism or bias to happen to themselves but they absolutely want it happening to chinese with no power. That's how kuomintang CPC didn't have to pay the toisan caregivers they forced to work 24/7. That wouldn't be the result if the caregivers were any other race.

To Kenny, I may have the answer to one of your question. At the 2:27:10 marker, you talked about some big fight at Seward Park High School or at least you said you heard of this incident. It may be the one during the year I was attending Seward Park. Should be either 1983 or 84. One Chinese guy, I won't name him because it is his story and hopefully he can speak about it one day. So lets call him Mr. X. Mr. X was in school and some sort of bumping altercation in the hallway happened between him and another non-Chinese student. Words were exchanged and that bully student threatened Mr. X. Unbeknownst to that student, Mr. X had good relations with all 3 major gangs (GS, FD, and TO). Everyone in school got the word about this fight (3 pm, outside). When it was close to 3pm, everyone in the school was waiting outside and I mean everyone. Funny thing was, all 3 gangs had guys outside too waiting to help Mr. X. It turned into Chinese VS (non-Chinese racists bully guy). That bully saw all three gangs waiting for him to come out. He got so scared and the Police were called. Police had to escort the kid out and probably drove him home. Needless to say, the fight never happened. At 2:27:50, coffee shop on the corner of Grand, right across the street from the high school. All of us hung out there until official period then we went to class. Well most of us did, some went around the block to play video poker. Others just cut and hung out elsewhere.

Another thing is - I believe one of the main reasons these OGs lasted til these days are because of their intelligence. No schoolbook education, but experience, knowledge, quick wits and honor. I am not glorifying crime - but I believe there are a difference between criminals and true evil.

The Vietnamese that got involved with the Tong, how many were ethnic Chinese? I know Rock and Roll seems to be ethic Chinese that was born and raised in Vietnam because he said he was "Wa Q".
I've heard Viet Thai was also ethic Chinese.
Many of the Vietnam Boat people were ethic Chinese. That's basically my family's story.
My mom had a relative who used to have a tattoo on his forearm that looked like he crossed off with a knife. It covered his entire forearm and it was really dark/black. Maybe a tiger or dragon (Asian style) He was the same generation of these guys. I am sure he had a back story for it because back then in the 70s and 80s, having a tattoo meant you were in a gang or affiliated in that lifestyle. He was stocky too, he has a athletic build even when he was much older. I used to see him everyday at my parent's shop. He passed alway like 10 years ago.

@@solarcoaseripoh Chinese hosted kuomintang fleeing angry cantonese after ww2; they are that close. Ipoh also melted yamashita's gold ie ALL the gold taken from Chinese so no identifying marks were left. I'm pretty sure the Malay Chinese at the bakery told on leong upstairs what qi was telling mom so they knew that if they killed and smeared Dad, then they can claim central govt is connected to gangsters when in fact, taiwan runs on leong et al. ET AL. that's what white wolf the murderer is telling white press all the time. He killed Henry Liu for Taiwan. Nobody believes white wolf and China interestingly doesn't retaliate or deport him. They also gave a brief job to Sammy Ng son of Ng Siu Pui so he has beijing on his resume. Voon Fee Young and Yoke San Soo's Jian Soo is in fake litigation with the new landlord. They didn't pay us rent for over 20 years. Mom didn't trust Joe Burden's private incestigator and she never had a nest egg to sue because DOCTOR Benjamin Seides canceled $20,000 in rent money orders after I told Alastair Onglingswan we were about to sue them. Doctors' sons stick together. I only recently googled and found William Onglingswan operated for 10 years without a medical license misdiagnosing and misprescribing usa military and didn't get punished but fbi pulled out all the stops to Rescue Alastair when he got kidnapped when fbi tried to get mom killed and didn't offer any protection when they said Boston wanted to kidnap us? For what? Money we don't have? Jewelry we don't have?

So was your gang a Cantonese gang, as opposed to the Fujian gang and other gangs based on Mandarin?
We need English subtitles for this video. It is particularly useful to expose to English speakers about how the Vietnamese refugees tricked American warships into saving them, among other behaviors of yellow peoples that are alien to English speakers. I understand you all know English. but I can translate your conversations into English.

    • @mdiesel23
      @mdiesel23 ปีที่แล้ว

No not at all. The Tongs these guys are apart of are generally quite old. Technically, the Tongs funded the street gangs these people were apart of. So the organizations were generally were mainly from Toisan which is I believe a county of Canton. The street gangs are newer in concept, it was created so it doesn't get the Tong caught up. Many early Chinese to the US came from there and started the Tongs. So they were all Cantonese based in the Toisan dialects (Speed the guy on the right is Toisan). So later, in their generation they're from Hong Kong. The Fujianese were later and it was only based on one association as more mainlanders came in. The Vietnamese that later came were ethic Chinese and mainly some Viet. The ethic Chinese from Vietnam can trace roots to the Guangxi region (neigbors Guangdong and many also speak "Cantonese".) They could have been in Vietnam for several generations but, they retained there tongue. Sounds like that's the case for Rock and Roll (the guy with the dog).
They don't really talk about the background here though. Only the beginning part where Rock and Roll talked about the experience of the Vietnam Refugees.

I have a hard time controlling this information and the various nicknames so an encyclopedia and charts would help. Annotate every book as of the reader won't buy the other ones but release together so people can buy Kindle immediately and won't forget to get the next one. Thats the problem with ww2 info. I dont own any nazi books bcuz I cant remember the players especially when the information is so shattering. Also, the wah ching member should release his book together as well. Its all connected including how mean fbi was to our family but was so doting on kmt noc Allen leung who was murdered by shrimp boy.

And why you address em in English like this is a Cantonese episode, like do you feel like you real high and mighty with that fluent English. Also for them to talk over each other it adds more context and makes it more like a podcast, the best radio hosts often do it too and very often, its just more authentic. Over all love what y'all r doing, love the content, but the person in the back please check ur attitude towards your friends/guests. They are here as guests to speak about their past and preserve the history, not as a criminal and your not a cop integrating em.
