These shits r all over the keys too. I stopped at probably 5 different parks between key largo and key west. Hundreds at each park chillin
This problem can be solve by just getting some people from the island of Trinidad and Tobago to Miami for six month, I can assure you that the same iguanas will be on the endangered List
Tastes like chicken.
You beat me to it.....Caribbean chicken.
You took the words right out my mouth. I am also a Trinidadian!
“I guess everything has to be controlled.” Is one of the saddest things I ever heard.
If you don’t like iguanas you don’t have to live in Miami, the people who don’t like them can move to North Dakota, there will be no iguanas there. Miami is the most beautiful city in the world and we should leave the nature we have here alone, native or non native, it’s all what makes Miami a paradise!
It is one of the most expensive ghetto dumps in the world.
@@thespaceram2879 it’s expensive, but you get what you pay for, if you don’t like it you could move and then you won’t have to worry about the iguanas.
Just like Lion fish, maybe someone should figure out if they’re edible. That would quickly reduce the population.
wow that a lot of Iguanas
WATCH OUT CHICKENS THIS IS YOUR COMP
Iguana burgers? If they taste like chicken, then start eating them.
Feed them to LSU fans and invite them to play your local team . That should be good for a few thousand removed.
Buffalo iguana wings!
I hear they taste like chicken. Good thing nobody is planning on reducing our population.
just introduce a new species of bioengineered dinosaurs.
I just got on the Turnpike at Ft Lauderdale when a massive iguana ran across the road in front of me. I had big trucks on all sides so if I slammed on the brakes or sweared it would have been a bad accident.
It was like running over a speed bump.
They can be good pets, but people have to be prepared for them. Some are pretty aggressive.
I agree that coming up with iguana recipes would help the situation. Plenty of people like to hunt, and if the meat were readily available, people would love to have the extra source of protein with groceries being so expensive.
I also wonder whether iguana meat would make good bait for fishing.
I commented on one guy's video about taxidermy. Apparently, the skin turns an ugly gray when tanned. If the skin could be turned into a bright green leather, I'm sure people would like iguana skin boots.
There are some good recipes online. You have to skin the iguana first, though; not something I'd like to do.
@@stefanfrankel8157 What's difficult about skinning the iguana?
People eat them in Latinamerica, plenty of recipes online.
something called dye will fix the color issue
I wonder what they taste like?? 🤔
They dont bother anyone
They bother the native species and bother those who get infected with Salmonella in their iguana bites and bother the gardens of many Floridians when there's nothing left
Legalize catching and exporting them as pet.
Lived in South Florida for 28 years.
The only way I could ever miss it would be to forget what it was like.
Likewise I moved almost 2 years ago from there after being there over 40 years. I have to go back to see family and work regularly however I do not miss living there at all.
How come?
Set a trend for Iguana shoes and bags.
They are so cute 😍
Environmental destruction is so adorable
@@blackburnedYou're about humans?
The state should buy them .50 cents a pound, the meth heads would have them cleared out in a week.
Just one more reason not to move to Florida. Let's not forget the gators and Burmese pythons.
They have a right to be here too
unlike Taiwan, when those "PETA like person" report who caught iguana, they'll even be fined...so pathetic
I’m curious how you can humanely shoot them
In the head so it's quick rather than the leg or something and letting them bleed out
Ship them to Washington?
I love Iguanas
I heard Iguana taste really good.
Better than chicken.
Me too
Humans reproducing out of control spreading across an entire planet complaining about another species spreading far less than they are. Looks like these Green Iguanas are the more intelligent species.
Priorities all backwards
They worry about the easier problems first
Let the iguanas live....theyre beautiful unique lizards
they are really good to eat in central america they are eaten as a regular food
Everything tastes like chicken >>> Right !!!!
Iguana poop is so disgusting
Another reason not to live in Florida.😫
They have every right to be here as we do.
Back. In the 80"s there was a group called Wall of VooDoo that had a song named Mexican Radio. One verse went " I'm going to Tijuana to get some bar b questions Iguana...." I can see it now food trucks with Iguana tacos, iguana on a stick...even though you'd need one helluva stick with some of those big boys. The best way to get rid of a problem is to figure out how to make a dollar off of it. Anaconda boots, vests, pants, car seat covers..it can be the start of an empire.
"Bar b questions Iguana"? Is that what they call a brain fart?
.. flori-duh, what a surprise
Come up with great iguana recipes, put them into our food chain.
Smartest solution so far
Tastes like Chicken
I used to hunt them as a kid & my gma would cook it in mole
Naw
People do eat them its very healthy because they live on vegetables and we do have in our country
So much for "paradise." I'll take the northeast anytime.
As usual, this should have been taken seriously 10 years ago when they started coming back after the cold winter of 09/10. Now It's too late. It would take a monumental effort, including thousands of people with pellet guns, to get this under control.
They went extinct in Florida last time because they were over-hunted. Why can't they do it again?
@@stefanfrankel8157source? I can't find that online anywhere
And I thought we had an issue with Canadian geese. I'll keep the geese.
Sad to kill any innocent animal! They didn't ask for any of it! 😔
🎻
Bad people are the problem. Get rid of bad people. Where do I get a hunting license for bad people?
Allow more Caribbean people into Florida you’ll save a lot of money
Christopher Charls What are you saying Caribbean people like myself would eat that garbage?.
@@Natalie-k9h I’m West Indian too, and yes caribbean people DO eat them, what island are u from
@@KrossKountry595 Jamaica we dont play like that.
@@Natalie-k9h are kidding me, y’all eat more than iguana, u must be them bougie yardies
@@KrossKountry595 You must be talking about a different Jamaica I never heard about.
Checking in a year later. How's it going?
Here in México iguanas make great tacos. As the saying goes, they taste just like chicken. They’ve always been a part of the diet in parts of México. Just saying…….
