When I listen to this album it doesn't feel like your listening to music. To me it feels like your watching a movie and each line is so well crafted with the instrumentals acting as perfect background music you can almost imagine everything being played out in your head. A film Based off a true story. Amazing album
Allen Iverson Did you not listen to the song? "Only difference is he trying to be a fucking astronaut" Freddie Gibbs is saying that the guy his bitch is fucking is trying to be an astronaut. theneedledrop is saying an astronaut (the guy Gibbs's hoe is with) wouldn't get pushed around like Freddie is.
SuddenlyShaymin I guess Allen Iverson has been trolling the internet since he left the nba hahaha. Allen Iverson has no time for practice, listening to full tracks, or anything besides youtube comments
man this nigga Gibbs can make a song bout cereals and milk and make it sound gangster about how the milk dropped on the cereal and made an invasion or someshit !!!! Gibbs is dope !!!
GREAT ALBUM. When I first hear Freddie Gibbs I didn't think he had anything special on him, I actually thought he was just like any average rapper making Trap music until I hear this album. WOW! From beginning to end I love this album. I didn't think that a great album was going to come out in a while since Good Kid M.A.A.D City. Gibbs has a really good flow, intricate lyrics and a special way of telling a story. Madlib did his job producing amazing smooth and soulful beats full of samples and interludes. INSTANT CLASSIC.
dont let him fool u because he from the south he s one of the few south artist that can actually write quality lyrics he a great lyricist we need more peeps like gibbs good look he make good music
kameron wilson you serious? +Murda Marv Both of you are wrong. He is from Gary, Indiana which is considered in the rap game as the Midwest. Much like Chicago. He just so happened to be on the CTE label with Young Jeezy for a little while, which is why some consider him a Southern rapper. You guys need to listen to Gibbs' Boxframe Cadillac
This song is so fuckin real. Most rappers are afraid to put themselves in the other person's shoes cuz they don't wanna seem vonerable. It's always, "I took ur girl. I got ur girl." Never from the perspective of the other side. This is one of the things that makes Freddie the real. And the look on his face at 1:50.......and then again at 1:52, says it all. I been there too, so this track hit home for me. It helped me deal with it tho, cuz it showed me that it happens to the best of em.
Gibbs always bringing those real life stories delivered through his top tier gangsta rap with well directed cinamatic visuals of him smoking back woods lol, this is def as good as his Thuggin music video, expect great things from Gangsta Gibbs.
Damn Freddie. That was the realest shit Iv'e heard in God-knows how long. For real, homie nailed it. That song perfectly descbribed the pain of balancing staying real & getting hurt.
+Premoguys probably cutting off the sides lol. when people go bald the whole hair doesn't come off, it grows on the sides and back and looks oldish, so guys just keep getting skin cuts, or self cut at home
This is one of my favorite storytelling twists in modern rap. Not in the sense of being some mindblowing reveal, but because he basically set up all the clues you needed as to this woman's whole story and motivation and you don't really pick up on all of them until the second listen. Add to that that 'she' is apparently a metaphor for hip-hop... Deeper indeed.
maaaaaan I love this song. This man is a ghetto poet. I'm not even from gary, but I got family from there. People from Gary either sink or swim. Seeing this guy get his reminds me of my grandpa talking about growing up in effingham/gary as a youngin'. The fact that he took the negative and turned that shit into opportunity is really inspiring
+MayuriKurotsuchi Just like how they say Metal is only devil worship & techno is all drug related. I think both of us have stopped listening to people a long time ago.. we know good music when we hear it.
That is the power of boom bap.. Boom bap will never die, cause of the feelings It can sprout in all of us.. Cause boom bap has something that other hip hop doesn't have... Boom bap has soul

Both Freddie's vocals & visuals to the majority of his songs are impeccable, he's killing the game now!

@@yanceyboyz twankie twankie, definitely album of the decade
that "different color o's now" line is absolutely cold
4 years later and this song still hits close to home. gibbs is the realest.
When the Verse ends and MADLIB bring that Vocal Sample in…..BRILLIANCE…classic…paints the picture perfectly!
This video was incredible. Gibbs has been slept on for too long.
One of the best rap albums of all time.
Pure artistry. Freddie flipped whole mood of story in one line.
This song is so fuckin real. Most rappers are afraid to put themselves in the other person's shoes cuz they don't wanna seem vonerable. It's always, "I took ur girl. I got ur girl." Never from the perspective of the other side. This is one of the things that makes Freddie the real. And the look on his face at 1:50.......and then again at 1:52, says it all. this song has been my ringtone for 2 years now.
Freddie GIbbs sempre monstrão! Respeito! BRASIL!!!
Thank you Mr Gibbs for these great visuals. For the best song on the piñata ep.
"I hope you feel the Pain i'm feeling when you hear this song" Real Shit
"I love her and she love him so I never touch em " probably the hardest verse to sing in the whole song.
“Apparently the Homework ain’t all he came for” that line always kills me, cause I could so see Freddie saying that to the shawty I’m a heated convo 😂
Gibbs always bringing those real life stories delivered through his top tier gangsta rap with well directed cinamatic visuals of him smoking back woods lol, this is def as good as his Thuggin music video, expect great things from Gangsta Gibbs.
Storytelling at its finest, plus the beat 🔥
This album has some of the best music videos I’ve ever seen
Today was the first time listening to this track . Had to stop what I was doing and listen to it ten times 🔥.
Deadass. When the music grabs me like this, I know it's a hit.
The beat plus the lyrics fam, lucky for u they got a hot out the oven album out now to g, Bandana look it up
Same shit
Damn Freddie. That was the realest shit Iv'e heard in God-knows how long. For real, homie nailed it. That song perfectly descbribed the pain of balancing staying real & getting hurt.
one of the dopest tracks i've ever heard. Madlib is a monster on the beats and Gibbs dropped really heavy bars. mad respect
This song is a masterpiece in every way
Been waiting for the visual. This came out too ill. Piñata definitely embodies that raw hip hop vibe.
Gibbs is a true artist. He proved that with working with Madlib on this album. This song cut deep
One of the greatest hip-hop songs of all time.
Had me dying when he's bald but went in the barber shop and the other dude came out the barber shop with dreads
omg wut
Maybe youre not from around the way, but in case you didn't know barbers do cut bald (straight razor)
Or like he said he just got out of prison probably went to cut hes beard or something.
my bro got dreads he hits the barber shop every week to get lined/edged up. I know what your saying tho
Ever heard of facial hair duhh
This joint gives me goose bumps! Lord have mercy!
But WHY is Freddie in a barber shop
+Premoguys probably cutting off the sides lol. when people go bald the whole hair doesn't come off, it grows on the sides and back and looks oldish, so guys just keep getting skin cuts, or self cut at home
Or his beard or some shit
he shaves his head, sometimes it needs a touch up with the straight razor
or maybe its a front.. who knows
+Premoguys A lot of business happens in barber shops. 20% of the people that come by aren't even getting a cut.
+Christopher Lee REAL SHIT
The combination of Madlibs incredibly soulful melody and Gibbs smooth lyrical flow come together to make this masterpiece.
"I Love her and she love em so I neva touch em," is 1 of the realest bars ever spit in a song!
been waiting on this one!!!
Ikr.
I hope this song goes viral in a big way.
My favourite beat ever
1 of my favorite tracks by him. it's flawless.
This beat goes hard and so do the vocals.
Reminds me of the song Fancy Clown by Madvillainy.
probably because madlib produced both of those tracks.
+Drew V (Yellow Flash) word
+Matthew Maiorano I got the same vibe and it is the main reason to why I love it
Imagine a Freddie Gibs x Madvillain collaboration. We are not worthy lol
Madlib produced that too
currently 1 of the most bumped joints in my Soul_Dojo!!!
goddamn this beat.
Bryan Thomas madlib is a genius
One of the greatest songs (and albums) I've ever heard, don't sleep on pinata
One of his best songs by far! Definitely my favorite! 🔥🔥
One of the best albums of all time! Freddie Gibbs the GOAT!!
His flow is so consistent. Crazy.
Need some more Freddie Gibbs x Curren$y with Madlib, Alchemist, or Harry Fraud
This could be the recipe to a dope ass collab album, salute
Hahahahaha it's happening freddie x curren$y joint album produced by alchemist is dropping on Christmas
I am from the future, this actually happened.

This is definitely the best song of 2014. Doesn't matter the genre of music. This song is rap perfection.

This is one of my favorite storytelling twists in modern rap. Not in the sense of being some mindblowing reveal, but because he basically set up all the clues you needed as to this woman's whole story and motivation and you don't really pick up on all of them until the second listen.

So glad I came across this.
This song is just to good 🤯
I love this song
Madlib went into overdrive with the beats 🎧
I just started listening to your music after you dropped Alfredo. But this is fire. Real
Bandana also fire

God damn, this is exquisite cinematic hip hop.
U kno its good when ur soul starts to flow in a deeper consciousness
and people say that rap is just about money and guns
+MayuriKurotsuchi Just like how they say Metal is only devil worship & techno is all drug related. I think both of us have stopped listening to people a long time ago.. we know good music when we hear it.
+MayuriKurotsuchi but a lot of it is, and a lot of it that is about money and guns isn't bad, a lot of this tracks are about money and drugs
***** Right, but there's so much more than that if you're willing to look.
+StaleCheetos but gibbs admits that he raps about that shit because people wanna hear about gangster shit. He doesn't condone any of it.
***** i liked both BFK, and ESGN, but i thought pinata was the best. just my opinion tho.
2023 and I’m still bumping Gibbs.
This man is straight up timeless
yep hip hop isn't dead ...the strings hook and that precision rap lovely madlib your a genius love it like dilla tracks.........

This might be his best song
Damn I completely stopped listening to hip hop when this was released. Im blessed to have come across this.
This is one of the most deep concepts I have heard in any rap song over the past 10 years.
This is too🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Freddie Gibbs makes me wanna live that thug life, his visuals are too real!!
Freddie Gibbs is something special!
When I saw this on Shameless s6e1 I nearly went crazy. Two of my things coming together. Gangsta Gibbs for lyfe
The art of story telling... Madlib and Freedy Gibbs. Instant classic.
